Abstract: A system, method and computer readable medium for dynamically determining location-based rules affecting item sales at POS registers for a particular location and for distributing the location-based rules to the POS registers is discussed. A location-based ruleset of rules regulating sales of items at an individual store is created and transmitted to the store along with a rule group to item map file that maps rules and warnings to individual store items. A rules engine at the store provides updated item sale rules and warnings to POS registers based on the location-based ruleset and rule group to item map file. Embodiments thus provide an improved system for updating POS registers at different store locations with location-based rules specific to the store location.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus registers, upon input of identification information of a commodity to be purchased via a mobile terminal, data of the commodity to be purchased identified by the identification information in a list. The information processing apparatus notifies, upon receiving an instruction to execute checkout from the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal of a checkout code for specifying the list. The information processing apparatus outputs, upon input of the code in a checkout machine, the list specified by the code to the checkout machine. The information processing apparatus counts the number of codes that are notified to the mobile terminal but not input in the checkout machine. The information processing apparatus executes processing for notifying the user of the mobile terminal of the count value.

Abstract: The described payment splitting technology can enable a person to split a cost of a product over a number of payments. For example, mobile device can receive a code for a product, receive an indication via the display of the mobile device that a person wants to split the cost of the product, and send a payment split indicator to a point of sale (POS) device. The POS device can scan the product, determine a cost for the product, receive the payment spilt indicator, and send the cost and the payment split indicator to a server where the transaction for the product can be authorized and the splitting of the payment can be approved.

Abstract: A system for managing a securities-based card spending account is disclosed. The system comprises a processor and an account comprising one or more securities. A first set of instructions is executable on the processor that is capable of allowing the setting of trade parameters defining percentages of the one or more securities to be traded to cover a purchase. A second set of instructions is executable on the processor for triggering one or more trades of the one or more securities according to the percentages defined in the trade parameters.

Abstract: Systems, computer-readable instructions, and methods for storing products are disclosed. For example, the system may include modular shelving units that include a shelf which is placeable on a rack, the shelf including a platform, the shelf having a weight sensor below the platform, the platform is configured to support N number of holders, each of the N holders configured to store products, each shelf further having N?1 optical sensors below the N?1 holders when the N?1 holders are supported by the platform and N?1 windows above the N?1 optical sensors, the N?1 optical sensors being in proximity of the N?1 holders, respectively, wherein each holder includes an opening, wherein when a holder is on the shelf, the opening is capable of being aligned with an optical sensor, the shelf further having a processing circuit coupled to the N?1 optical sensors and the weight sensor.

Abstract: Systems and methods that can verify transactions based upon location disparity between an account holder and POS (point of sale) as well as identity of a customer are provided. The system can employ camera-equipped drones or other image capture mechanisms to perform identity verification on behalf of a financial entity, cardholder or merchant. Further, the innovation provides systems and methodologies by which allegedly fraudulent or suspect transactions can be blocked or further investigated in real- or near real-time so as to assist in loss mitigation and potentially identification of fraudsters.

For instance, a payment service may determine, based at least in part on transaction information, that a first customer conducted a first transaction at a first merchant followed a subsequent transaction at a second merchant. The payment service may further determine that a second customer conducted a second transaction at the first merchant followed by a subsequent transaction at a third merchant, Based on transaction information associated with the first transaction and the second transaction, the payment service may create a buyer profile including the first customer and second customer. Upon the payment service receiving a request to process a third transaction between the first merchant and the second customer, the payment service can generate a recommendation that the second customer conduct a subsequent transaction to the third transaction at the second merchant rather than the third merchant.

A misplaced product is identified if the identifying information produced by the feature extractor fails to match the identifying information associated with the best fit features from the product library.

Abstract: Systems and methods involving secure connections between security meshes are disclosed herein. One disclosed device includes a first security processor located within a first security mesh, a first casing having a connector and supporting the first security mesh and the applications processor, a second security processor located within a second security mesh, and a second casing connected to the first casing via the connector and supporting the second security mesh. The first security processor and second security processor are programmed to generate a unique pre-shared key independently on both the first security processor and the second security processor using an elliptic key exchange and establish a secure connection between the first security processor and the second security processor using the unique pre-shared key.

In various embodiments, a system can receive, from an electronic beacon of a point-of-sale device, context data characterizing a transaction facilitated by the point-of-sale device. In various instances, the system can generate a quick response (QR) code based on the context data and based on financial instrument data, such that the context data and the financial instrument data are embedded within or correlated to the QR code. In various aspects, the system can visually render the QR code on an electronic display, such that the QR code is scannable by the point-of-sale device.

The disclosed technology can access organizational data that can include organizational reports associated with payrolls of an organization. Validated reports can then be generated based on the performance of validation operations including evaluation of a validity of each of the organizational reports. The validated reports can include a portion of the fields and a portion of the entries.
