Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for secure transactions according to one or more embodiments. According to an embodiment, a method for providing secure transactions comprises initiating a transaction via a point of sale device having a one time password generator. The method also comprises generating at least one password by the point of sale device. The method further comprises associating the at least one password with account information. The method further comprises transmitting the password associated with the account information to a remote location. If the transmitted password matches predetermined associated information at the remote location, the method further comprises confirming the transaction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for storing usual order preferences associated with a point of sale transaction involving an identification article. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving an initial order involving the use of an identification article for purchasing at least one good or service. As part of receiving the initial order, a query asking if the initial order is to be designated as a usual order is issued. The method also includes registering the initial order as the usual order if a received response to the query indicates a usual order designation and storing an indication of the usual order in a storage medium.

Abstract: An augmented reality shopping system in one embodiment includes a store communication network, a memory including program instructions for receiving a product location request, associating the received request with product information stored in a product database, determining the location of the product within the store, receiving shopper location information, determining a route between the determined location of the product and the shopper location based upon the shopper location information, generating route rendering data based upon the determined route, and transmitting the route rendering data through the store communication network. The system further includes a processor operably connected to the store communication network and to the memory for executing the program instructions and a mobile display device operably connected to the processor through the store communication network for rendering an overlay image using the transmitted route rendering data.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of a self healing andon system. One embodiment of the present disclosure includes a system comprising at least one server. The system further includes logic executed on the at least one server that retrieves a defect history associated with a vendor and at least one product from an inbound shipment from a memory. The at least one product is stocked in a materials handling facility, and the defect history is associated with a specified time period. The at least one server extracts at least one inventory defect from the defect history in a computer system and calculates an inventory defect rate. The at least one server imposes remedial measures if the inventory defect rate exceeds a specified threshold of the inventory defect rate.

Abstract: A network clearinghouse may be provided that brings together organizations (subjects) requiring outsourcing of a service and service providers (operators). The clearinghouse manages the bidding and awarding of contracts, by collecting and authorizing requests for proposals (RFPs), sending bid invitations to operators that meet the requirements of the subject, sending a notification that the contract has been awarded, and collecting payment from the subject and paying the operator.

Abstract: A system and method is described for alerting authorities or taking other corrective authoritative action to a possibly fraudulent credit card transaction. A cardholder is notified that a transaction has just taken place and is given an opportunity to indicate that he or she did not authorize the transaction. If so indicated, and depending on how recent the transaction was (e.g. 15 seconds ago) then an alert is automatically sent to the merchant, store security, or local police. In addition, a store camera can be automatically activated to zoom in and record the perpetrator of the fraudulent transaction.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a computer system that facilitates identifying additional tax information. During operation, the computer system receives tax information. Next, the computer system determines relevance of the additional tax information to the tax information using a metric indicative of a statistical relationship between the tax information and the additional tax information in a tax-information data structure. This metric is based on co-existence of the tax information and the additional tax information at different hierarchical levels in income-tax documents. Moreover, the tax-information data structure includes tax information and associated context information from income-tax documents. Next, the computer system identifies the additional tax information based on the relevance and a threshold, and the computer system provides the additional tax information.

Abstract: A system for implementing a method that books and pays a retailer having a POS connected to a transaction server storing confidential user information including a retailer identification, a user code, and a user wireless device phone number. The method includes: receiving at the transaction server, from the user wireless device which can be a cell phone, an SMS containing a retailer identification; reading at the transaction server the phone number of the wireless device communicated by the carrier transporting the SMS; authentifying the phone number and retailer identification with the stored confidential user information; sending the user confidential information to the retailer POS. The user enters on the POS the user code. The POS reads and authentifies the user code with the user confidential information received from the transaction server. The retailer enters the payment information on the POS and sends it with user information to the transaction server.

Abstract: Example systems, methods, processes, and apparatus for determining expected base sales for a product include obtaining sales data for a product sold at a point of sale location. The sales data can be organized in a time series according to a predetermined time period. The method further includes identifying a promotional event for at least one of the product and the point of sale location and excluding sales data corresponding to the promotional event. The remaining sales data is processed using a smoothed moving average model involving a plurality of passes through the remaining sales data. Expected base data for the product is generated based on the smoothed moving average model and output to a user.

Abstract: A system includes a master device and a slave device. The slave device is configured to provide a customer waiting to be seated at a restaurant with menu information for the restaurant, receive at least one of a drink order or a food order from the customer while the customer is waiting to be seated at the restaurant, and transmit the at least one of a drink order or a food order. Abstract: A retailer computer system receives from a first computing device a shopping recap having data indicative of one or more products that were shown to a customer by the sales associate while the customer was within a retail establishment. The received shopping recap is stored within a data repository where it is linked to a customer identifier that is associated with the customer and an associate identifier that is associated with the sale associate. If the customer later purchases a product, data indicative of the product being purchased is compared against data within any shopping recap that is linked to that customer to determine if a sales associate that is also linked to any shopping recap linked to that customer is to be awarded a commission for the product being purchased. The purchase of the product by the customer may further generate a digital receipt where the digital receipt includes a notice that the customer is being awarded an incentive, such as a coupon.
