Abstract: The present invention is directed to a series of polymeric glyceryl esters that have two different molecular weight ester chains, one solid and one liquid, which when combined into a single molecule make a polymer that is solid, but has very unique flow properties. These materials find applications as additives to formulations in personal care products where there is a desire to have a structured film (provided by the solid fatty group) and flow properties, (provided by the liquid fatty group). These compounds by virtue of their unique structure provide outstanding skin feel.
Abstract: Naturally occurring lecithins and/or oleic acid stimulate the growth and lactic acid producing activity of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species of probiotic bacteria, and replace polysorbate 80 for those products. They can be used in naturally occurring form, or where they are to be combined with probiotics in a carrier, or they can be treated to yield a stable powdered form of these naturally oily compounds. They can be sold as combined prebiotic/probiotic formulations in the same carrier, or sold as separate dietary supplements, e.g., in capsule or tablet form, to be used with the probiotic formulation as desired.
Abstract: Compositions and methods for making a pharmaceutical dosage form include making a pharmaceutical composition that includes one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients by thermokinetic compounding into a composite. Compositions and methods of preprocessing a composite comprising one or more APIs with one or more excipients include thermokinetic compounding, comprising thermokinetic processing the APIs with the excipients into a composite, wherein the composite can be further processed by conventional methods known in the art, such as hot melt extrusion, melt granulation, compression molding, tablet compression, capsule filling, film-coating, or injection molding.

Abstract: A vegetation culture active agent delivery medium is provided that includes dense mineral granules, comparatively less dense cellulosic granules, and an active agent in simultaneous contact with the mineral granules and the cellulosic granules, the active agent present from 1×10?5 to 10 total weight percent of the medium. A formulation of an active agent is applied to one type of granule as a mixture thereof. Through control of the relative amounts of mineral and cellulosic granules, a controlled medium density is readily adjusted between 35 and 60 pounds per cubic foot.

Abstract: Compositions are provided that are useful for the preparation of a medicament. The compositions comprise granules having a layer of sodium picosulphate coated on potassium bicarbonate. Additional granules having a layer of magnesium oxide coated on a core of citric acid are also provided. The two types of granules may be combined to obtain mixtures (preferably homogeneous or substantially homogeneous mixtures) of the two types of granules, which are useful, e.g., as pharmaceutical compositions.
Abstract: A treatment of N-(phenylethyl)succinamic acid or its salts provides enhancement of fungicide activity of a fungicide azole compound, and thus, a fungicidal composition comprising a fungicide azole compound and N-(phenylethyl)succinamic acid or its salts is effective for controlling plant diseases and may also enhance plant growth.

Abstract: The present invention discloses cosmetic compositions based on phytic acid and used for skin resurfacing, treating hyper pigmentation, control sebum production, for pore size reduction and combating acne and a method of application. The trichloroacetic acid can be added to the composition, containing phytic acid for more deep peels. The compositions and the methods of application of the composition containing phytic acid and the composition, containing trichloroacetic acid and phytic acid are claimed.
Abstract: The invention pertains to a new method for formulating pharmaceutical active ingredients in such a way as to protect them when ingested orally, and to allow for the controlling of the release of the active ingredient in the intestine. It relies upon the use of thickening acrylic emulsions with a pH greater than 5, containing hydrophobic groups, in order to encapsulate the pharmaceutical active ingredients for the purpose of encouraging their passage through the gastrointestinal barrier, while controlling the release kinetics of said active ingredients.
