Abstract: Described are methods and systems for interview competency and question validation and analysis to improve the effectiveness of evaluation campaigns. In one method, processing logic of an interview design program, hosted by a digital evaluation platform, receives a request from a first device to create a digital interview for a position. The interview design program sends a list of competencies associated with the position and receives a selection of a set of desired competencies. The interview design program determines a list of questions that differentiate candidates within the desired competencies, ranks the list of questions by importance, and sends the list of questions and the ranking information to the first device and receives a selection of a set of desired questions. The interview design program creates the digital interview with the set of desired questions. The digital evaluation platform presents the digital interview to a candidate on a second device.

Abstract: An intent classifier may be used to increase the efficiency of a communications system. A company may provide assistance to a first user using automated processing or by a second user manually responding to the first user. To reduce costs, the company may prefer to use automated processing for assistance where it is available. While a second user is assisting a user, a message from the first user may be processed with an intent classifier to determine that automated support is available to assist the first user, and a suggestion may be presented to the second user to transfer the first user to the automated processing, such as by presenting a button to the second user to transfer the first user to the automated processing. The second user may then transfer the first user to the automated processing and assist other users.

Abstract: Techniques to determine that an employer of a member has an omitted company page in a social network are described. A user input can be received from the member. The user input selecting a company from a company list. The company can have a similar name to an employer of the member and the company already having a company page. Member data of the member having social graph information can be accessed. Using the social graph information, a first connection density value for the member and the company can be calculated. Additionally, a second connection density value can be calculated for the member and the employer. Furthermore, a determination that the employer has an omitted company page can be determined based on the first connection density value and the second connection density value. Subsequently, a generation of a company page for the employer can be initiated based on the determination.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for processing sales leads. Illustratively, the invention provides a method of assigning sales leads in a network environment, the sales leads relating to persons interested in effecting a purchase, the method comprising: obtaining a lead, the lead including lead information relating to a person interested in effecting a purchase; loading the lead into a lead processing portion; determining if the lead is auto-assignable; assigning the lead to a sales agent; and outputting the lead information over the network environment to a lead distribution portion, so as to be accessible to the sales agent.

Abstract: An approach is provided in which a risk assessment is performed that accesses the risk to a user of an information handling system due to the user's link to a social network contact. Risky action values is received with the values corresponding to the social network contact. A risk level is calculated with the risk level corresponding to one or more of the risky action values. A preventative security action is then performed based on the calculated risk level. In another embodiment, an approach is provided in which the potential risks posed by a user are transmitted to the user's social network contacts. In this approach, potentially risky actions that are performed by the user are detected. Risky action values are identified that correspond to the detected potentially risky actions. The risky action values are then transmitted to the user's social network contacts over a computer network.

Abstract: The compatibility score of members of a social network is based on the compatibility of their expressed interests. The compatibility score between any two interests is calculated as the log of the estimated probability that a member of the social network will express both interests divided by the product of: (i) the estimated probability that a member of the social network will express the first of the two interests and (ii) the estimated probability that a member of the social network will express the second of the two interests. The compatibility score between two individuals is calculated as the sum of the compatibility scores between each interest appearing in a set of interests expressed by the first of the two individuals and each interest appearing in a set of interests expressed by the second of the two individuals.

Abstract: Techniques for inferring a specific skill associated with a job posting are described. In an example, disclosed is a system that selects, from a jobs database, a specific job posting from a plurality of job postings. Additionally, job applicants for the specific job posting can be determined using indicators in the profile data of members. Moreover, a set of skills associated with the job applicants can be obtained. Furthermore, a percentage of the job applicants having a specific skill from the set of skills can be determined using the profile data of the job applicants. Subsequently, a confidence score of the specific skill being associated with the specific job posting can be calculated based on the percentage of the job applicants having the specific skill. A user interface can display a presentation of the specific job posting to a first member when the confidence score transgresses a predetermined score.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for determining suitability of a candidate for a role in an organization. According to an embodiment, the system is configured to generate an ideal candidate profile for the selected role based on performance data, psychometric test results and/or social network or profile data of one or more employees or individuals in an organization. The system is configured to generate a profile for the candidate in the selected role based on psychometric test results and/or social network data. The system compares the profile of the candidate to the ideal candidate profile and the basis of the comparison generates a suitability rating or factor for the candidate in the selected role.

The system extracts a raw job title from the unstructured job title record, and extracts a first seniority level from the raw job title. The first seniority level is a seniority modifier associated with the raw job title. The system determines a second seniority level. The second seniority level is a company seniority within the company associated with the unstructured job title record. The system determines a third seniority level. The third seniority level is a seniority score for the member or the job posting. The system compares the seniority score with a second seniority score, and communicates with the member, or transmits the job posting to the member, based on the comparison of the seniority score and the second seniority score.

Abstract: A method, computer-readable storage device and apparatus for addressing a problem in a network using social media are disclosed. For example, the method receives social media data, analyzes the social media data to detect a trend for a service provided by the communication network, wherein the trend indicates a problem with the service, correlates an operational parameter of the communication network providing the service to the problem with the service and adjusts the operational parameter of the communication network to address the problem.

Abstract: A multi-component auditing environment uses a set of log-enabled components that are capable of being triggered during an information flow in a data processing system. A “master” compliance component receives data from each log-enabled component in the set of log-enabled components, the data indicating a set of logging properties that are associated with or provided by that log-enabled component. The master compliance component determines, for a given compliance policy, which of a set of one or more events are required from one or more of the individual log-enabled components in the set of log-enabled components. As a result of the determining step, the master compliance component then configures one of more of the individual log-enabled components, e.g. by generating one or more configuration events that are then sent to the one or more individual components. This configuration may take place remotely, i.e., over a network connection.

Abstract: Techniques for providing predictive metrics relating to employment positions are provided. A method may include receiving, by a computing device, data relating to a plurality of employment positions, wherein the data is received from a plurality of customers. The computing device may aggregate the data received from the plurality of customers and may determine statistics using the aggregated data, which are based on each of the plurality of employment positions. The computing device may generate one or more predictive metrics relating to the plurality of employment positions using one or more of the statistics.

A system presents a user interface including a first plurality of graphical elements representing a plurality of activity dimensions to a user. The system detects a user selection of a first activity dimension and a second user selection of a first attribute of the first activity dimension without a selection of the second attribute. The system searches objects using a search query based on the first activity dimension and the first attribute to return search results including a first object published on a network-based publication system by a client. The system provides a notification message to the user responsive to identifying feedback information that is received from a trading partner of the client as transgressing a first threshold. The feedback information is identified based on the first object and the second attribute that is not selected from the user interface.

Abstract: A referrer device configured to perform operations such as detecting an electronic request to provide information from an information source to a contact communication device. The contact data for a contact associated with the contact communication device is accessible by the referrer device. However, the contact data is not accessible by the information source. The operations can further include encoding a referral container file with programming instructions configured to, upon execution by a processor of the contact communication device, cause the contact communication device to electronically request the information from the information source via a communications network without providing the contact data to the information source. The operations can further include embedding the referral container file in an electronic message and transmitting, via a network communication interface of the referrer device, the electronic message to the contact communication device.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for selecting a set of nodes to maximize information spreading. During operation, the system receives a budget constraint and a population sample, constructs a social network associated with the population sample, analyzes a network graph associated with the social network to obtain structural information associated with a node within the social network, estimates characteristics associated with the node, and selects the set of nodes that maximizes the information spreading under the budget constraint based on the structural information and the characteristics associated with the node.
