Abstract: An apparatus for containing a food and beverage includes a substantially flat stock, for example, cardboard or fiberboard that is folded into a three-dimensional apparatus. When formed, the apparatus includes a first compartment for holding a food and a beverage extension section adapted for holding a beverage. Certain of the sections include panels that interlock. A reinforcing member is provided to add strength to the beverage extension portion. A pair of thumbholes are provided in two of the sections and a pair of slots are provided for securing a pair of eating utensils, for example, a fork and spoon. The unused thumbhole is adapted to receive a napkin.

Abstract: Structures and processes for packaging produce in a manner that resists contamination due to dust, debris, and sunlight. According to certain embodiments of the present invention, fresh produce may be placed in a produce container having tabs extending from the top of the produce container walls. The tabs may preferably comprise a hook end. A produce container cover, preferably made from fiberboard or some other suitably lightweight material, comprising tab slots in locations complementary to the tabs of the produce container may be placed on the produce container as a cover. The tab slots of the produce container cover are configured to create a locking effect with the hook end of the tabs located on the produce container. This prevents the produce container cover from inadvertently being displaced during shipping and handling.

Abstract: A reinforced bulk materials container having a first wall-forming blank scored to provide main panels foldably joined together at a plurality of corners with each main panel having a foldably joined bottom flap. A wear reducing member attaches along the score for the bottom flaps and overlaps lateral portions of the flaps and the panels. A second wall-forming blank of corrugated paperboard defining panels laminates to the first wall-forming blank and includes members fixedly attached about a perimeter of each panel and a filler pad within the perimeter defined by the members. The wear reducing member resists the bottom edges of the container from wearing through caused movement of the container on rough surfaces.

Abstract: Disclosed is a folding collapsible rectangular storage box in which the rectangular box body has a flexible bottom panel, two short upright peripheral panels and two long upright peripheral panels perpendicularly extending upward from the four sides of said rectangular bottom panel, the two long upright peripheral panels having a respective vertically extending folding line arranged in a diagonal manner so that the box body can be folded into a flat manner by pushing the two long upright peripheral panels toward each other and then respectively turning the two short upright peripheral panels toward the attached two long upright peripheral panels.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a blank of foldable material that configured to form a container. When formed, the container is completely self-locking. Additionally, when the blank is formed with any number of known liquid-proof sheet material or coatings, the container provides a leak/sift proof structure. Also, the container provides for all inside surfaces to be smooth, flat and interrupted surfaces. Further, as the hand hold cutouts are covered by end panels, the container retards hot or cold inside temperature degradation, which make the container ideal for use as a low-cost cooler or the like.

Abstract: A ride ready vehicle-mounted bicycle carrier includes a pair of spaced apart wheel supports and a stabilizing member which is engageable with the bicycle, preferably with one of the bicycle wheels, at a location above the wheel supports. One of the wheel supports is in the form of a pair of spaced apart wheel engagement members which are pivotably mounted to a structural member associated with the carrier, and which are configured to grip the wheel so as to provide initial support for the bicycle on the carrier. The stabilizing member is in the form of a clamp arm mechanism having a base mounted to the structural member and an extendible and retractable arm having a wheel-engaging portion at its outer end, which can be moved into and out of engagement with the wheel.

Abstract: The wrap-around carrier of the invention includes opposed side panels hingedly connected to a top panel and to a pair of bottom flaps. An end retention structure is connected to at least one of the side panels and to the adjacent one of the bottom flaps. The end retention structure includes an anchor panel hingedly connected to an end edge of the one side panel and disposed in a face-contacting relationship with the inside surface of the one side panel, a gusset panel hingedly connected to the anchor panel and extending toward the adjacent end opening of the carrier, and an end panel hingedly connected to the gusset panel and disposed to engage the adjacent end article packaged in the carrier to prevent it from dislodging form the carrier. The end retention structure further includes a relief panel that hingedly interconnects the end panel with the one bottom flap. The relief panel is disposed in the plane of the one bottom flap when the carrier is in an erected condition.

Abstract: A multifunctional device for supporting a lid of a container in order to protect an item stored within the container is provided. The support device includes a generally planar upper member. The support device also includes at least one leg member detachably connected to the upper member by a connecting member and projecting from a surface of the upper member. The upper member and leg member have a first function as a lid support when the leg member and upper member are attached. Further, either one of the upper member or the leg member have a second function different from the first function when the leg member is detached from the upper member.

Abstract: Stiffened double walled gift boxes are formed from paperboard blanks having main panels and wall panels with inner halves connected by gussets. A stiffener with a central panel and hinged sides half as wide as the side panels is placed in the main panel. Adhesive is applied on inner surfaces of the outer panels. As the wall panels are folded along peripheral edges of the main panel the loose stiffener is aligned by the wall panels. Sides of the stiffener bend with side panels of the box. Gussets are folded and placed inside end walls and are secured by outer end panels secured to inner end panels. Outer side panels are folded inward and adhered on sides of the stiffener, locking the stiffener in place.

Abstract: A stackable container for carrying produce. The container has tapered side walls or end walls to aid in the stacking of like containers. Also, the container has locking flaps that allow the container to be erected manually and without the need for fasteners. Further, at least one tapered wall of the container has a reinforcement flap that creates a partial top structure in the upper part of the container that helps prevent bulging of the walls. The reinforcement flap also creates doubled stacking tabs and diagonal corner posts that aid in the stacking of like containers.

Abstract: A carton includes a top wall, a pair of opposed side walls connected to the side edges of the top wall, an end wall interconnecting the side walls and an article dispenser for dispensing articles from the carton. The dispenser includes a detachable portion of the carton formed at least from the side and end walls. The detachable portion is connected at least to the side and end walls by a detachable connection to be detached from the carton to define an opening for exposing at least an endmost article for removal. At least one of the side walls comprises a tear initiation arrangement for facilitating a user's cross-tearing motion for detaching the detachable portion along the detachable connection. The detachable connection of the detachable portion comprises a frangible line of joinder for defining an edge of the opening. The frangible line extends from the tear initiation arrangement into at least the end wall.

Abstract: A container for foodstuffs including a carton, tray and pad, each formed from a cut and creased blank of foldable sheet material. The carton is substantially a tubular element having end panels for enclosing the carton. A plurality of corner locks are provided to maintain the end panels oriented in a closed position. Handles formed in the carton permit stacking of the containers and easy transportation.

Abstract: An opening arrangement includes a bottom piece disposed to be positioned on a packaging material and to define a pouring opening; a lid disposed, in a closed state, to seal the pouring opening; and a tamper evidence intended to be broken the first time the opening arrangement is opened and which is connected to a pull tab connected to the lid and to a fastening surface disposed to be connected to the packaging material. The fastening surface is disposed to extend over a fold line along which the packaging material is intended to be folded for forming a package. A package and a method of providing a package with an opening arrangement are also disclosed.

Abstract: A clean carry apparatus provides a clean surface for use and a clean exterior after use. A storage area and base area are connected to a changing area at at least one hinge point. The base area and changing area pivot away from each other at a second hinge point to lay on a surface. The storage area pivots away from the changing area at a hinge point and rests on the base area to expose a clean changing surface. After changing, the storage area pivots back to lay flat across the changing area and contain soiled surfaces within the changing area. By lifting the clean carry apparatus, the base area and changing area pivot together, containing soiled surfaces in contact with the surface. An embodiment provides a privacy shield for changing. Another embodiment provides a foldable mat with a clean area.

Abstract: A food container includes an upper portion having a generally frusto-conicle upwardly tapered food containing portion which is adapted to be superimposed on a cover of a beverage container with the cover serving as a base. The food container also includes an integral lower portion for encircling a beverage container below its cover and wherein the upper portion includes a cover engaging portion which extends over only a portion of the cover.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reclosable, cuboidal folding box having a rear wall, a front wall, two or more side walls which connect the front and rear walls, a base closure, and a top closure, which is formed by three closure tabs and has an insertion flap. A double-layered hanging tab is articulated on the front wall or the rear wall via a severable tamperproof surface, which is fixed to the insertion flap.

Abstract: A shipping carton is converted to use as a display carton using perforated lines and precut openings that together define a line circumscribing the carton. At any location at which the perforated line crosses an edge of the carton of another perforated line, a precut opening provides a clean separation. Additionally, no section of the perforated lines parallels an adjacent fold line.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a shipping box for objects that makes it possible, as desired, to separate objects to be mailed inside the shipping box without having to turn to additional external separation means. For this purpose, the shipping box includes four side walls arranged at right angles with respect to each other, a bottom element and a lid, whereby the bottom element and the four side walls form an interior space and a first upper flap of a side wall forms the lid. The lid can be folded with respect to the extended side wall, so that the folded lid closes the shipping box. The bottom element includes nested lower flaps of the four side walls that can be folded along folding edges.
