The subject food container has a bottom wall having two side edges extending in a longitudinal direction between opposing ends, two end walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall at the opposing ends respectively, two side walls extending upwardly from the two side edges of the bottom wall to extend in the longitudinal direction between the opposing ends, two lid panels supported on the walls for pivotal movement about respective lateral axes oriented generally perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction between a closed position in which the lid panels enclose an open top end of the container and an open position in which the open top end is substantially unobstructed by the lid panels, and at least one handle coupled at opposing ends on the two side walls respectively such that said at least one handle extends generally in a direction of the lateral axes between the two side walls.

Abstract: A collapsible, non-disassembling intersecting partition assembly for insertion into a container divides the space inside the container into individual cells for holding products. The assembly comprises a plurality of first slotted partitions intersecting with a plurality of second slotted partitions to form a collapsible matrix. Each of the first slotted partitions has opposed slots extending inwardly from opposed edges of the partition to facilitate folding the partition. An outer portion or tab of each folded partition is secured to one of the other partitions to prevent disassembly of the matrix. Each of the partitions has hooks and notches to help hold the assembly together.

When formed, the container is self-locking and includes air cell structure that allows for a container with a constant outside volume to have a variable inside volume. The air cell structure container functions to prevent telescoping of vertically stacked container and for strength and stability. The container may be partially assembled for shipping and hand set into final assembly as needed.

Abstract: A wrap-around style or end-loaded carton for enclosing articles such as cans in multiple rows is formed from a single blank of sheet material, and includes a three-ply top wall and an integrated composite handle that is centrally located so as to balance the load in the carton when the handle is raised to an upright position. The top wall includes an outer panel, and intermediate panel, and an inner top panel, each hingedly connected to another. The composite handle is struck from the outer panel and the intermediate panel and is liberated or partially detachable therefrom so as to be hingedly connected to the top wall, and rotatable to an upright position. When the handle is raised, at least a portion of each edge of the top wall is reinforced by at least one additional layer of carton material, and thus, is at least two plies thick.

The lower edge of the divider panel is offset from the bottom panel, and therefore is less likely to buckle or bend when the carton is subjected to axial compression. The carry tab may include an aperture sized to accommodate the customer's thumb and fingers, providing for a sure and comfortable grip of the carrier. The carrier fits into a standard cup holder in the seating area at sporting and entertainment venues, or may hang from a hook provided in the seating area.

Abstract: A novel candy or mints box has an opening near the top of the box and an underlying slide that is moveable sideways across the opening. Preferably the top portion of the box includes a flap with an opening, and the flap extends over a corresponding opening in the front side such that the openings align, and the slide lies between the front side of the box and the top flap. The slide also preferably further includes a stop member and the box has a corresponding catch member, such that the slide is always contained within the box. Advantageously, the box is formed from a single blank piece of paper or cardboard stock, and folded in a particular sequence such that the slide ends up inside the box without the need for a separate insertion step.

Abstract: An end closure design for a paperboard container having four or more end panels that form the end closure hingedly joined respectively to four side panels connected to each other by parallel, spaced apart fold lines. Each of the hinged end panels has a straight free edge parallel the hinged edge and each free edge has two spaced apart notches of the same shape and size cut therein, each positioned the same distance from the parallel, spaced apart fold lines such that when the panels are folded over, a notch from each end panel interlocks with a notch from an adjacent end panel. An opposing two of the hinged end panels also include two diagonal score lines, each extending from an interior edge of the notches to the interior corner formed by the fold lines between the end closure panel and its respective side panel. To form the end closure, the end closure panels without the diagonal score lines are folded inwardly, then the end closure panels with the diagonal score lines are folded inwardly.

Abstract: A reinforced container assembly and method for making the same are provided. The reinforced container assembly comprises a fiberboard container and a first reinforcement strap. The fiberboard container has a lower portion and an upper portion. The first reinforcement strap wraps continuously around a periphery of the container a plurality of times in a spiraling manner from a starting point of the reinforcement strap to a terminating point of the reinforcement strap. The reinforcement strap physically connects to the container at a first location. The reinforcement strap is further physically connected to the container at second location. The reinforcement strap provides structural support to the fiberboard container to increase the strength of the container assembly.

The packaging case includes a straight side weakening line in a center of each of two opposite folding walls of the case. A straight bottom weakening line is formed in a center of the bottom of the packing case, the straight bottom weakening line joining the side weakening lines together. Symmetrical sets of angled bottom weakening lines are provided, each set being arranged at each end region of the bottom of the packing case adjacent to each opposite folding wall. The weakening lines from each set are arranged parallel to one another with their vertex at the central bottom weakening line and the legs of each set ending at the base of a respective one of the opposite folding walls.
