Abstract: A picture frame and hanger combination features a reel for winding and unwinding of the cord, a locking mechanism to lock the cord in any of a number of partially unwound states of different length, and a frame bordering a picture opening for receiving a picture in a position facing outward from the picture opening to a front side of the frame. The frame has a hollow cavity positioned and sized to accommodate the reel and locking mechanism, which may be combined into a single unit, in positions at least partially recessed in the frame and concealed from the front side thereof. The recessing of the reel into the frame avoids bulky installation on the rear of the frame that may otherwise prevent the frame from lying closely against the wall or other upright surface behind the picture frame.

Abstract: A device for storing and displaying documents, photographs, and memorabilia objects together. Covers are each rotatably connected to a spine and feature sides that rest upon or engage with each other to close. The device has a plurality of document pockets and a plurality of bound archival sheets. Within the device is a plurality of object compartments, each compartment having a transparent cover that selectively opens for placing and removing objects and selectively closes for safely displaying the objects. The device is included in a kit that further comprises at least one complementary storage box. The device is included a system that further comprises an electronic catalogue for the photographs and objects stored therein.

Abstract: A cube display system uses a frame with upstanding outer periphery side walls. A series of uniform sized cubes has a portion of an overall picture on each face. The cubes are placed into the inner space of the frame in an appropriate position, with the appropriate face facing upwardly and properly oriented. When all of the cubes are so placed, the overall picture is displayed. Different pictures are formed when displaying different faces of the cubes. An opening is located underneath each cube such that a finger or a poking tool is inserted through the opening in order to dislodge a particular cube from the cube matrix. The openings are encompassed by a magnetically attractive material and another magnetically attractive material is disposed on each face in order for the cubes and base to magnetically attract each other. Alternately, the frame is a banding frame that cinches the formed matrix.

Abstract: An edge-lit light engine module for signs and a sign are provided. The light engine module has housing and a light engine that fits within the housing. The housing has a base member and at least one side member that overlaps a tab formed along an edge of a sign face. The housing is configured to align the light engine with the partial edge of the sign so that light from the light engine enters and is reflected within the material that forms the sign face so that the sign face becomes illuminated. The housing properly aligns the light engine, and also serves as a heat sink to draw heat away from the light engine and transfer the heat outside the housing.

Abstract: A method of increasing the stability of a corrugated display apparatus defining a plurality of lower openings and having a plurality of walls at least partially defining a plurality of channels, each with a channel width, spanning from one of the plurality of lower openings toward an upper end of the display apparatus, the method including providing a cutting device with a handle length and a blade member coupled along the handle length, cutting a portion of at least one of the plurality of walls with the blade member to combine two of the plurality of channels adjacent to the cut portion of the at least one of the plurality of walls to create an enlarged channel, and inserting a post-like member into the enlarged channel, the post-like member securely retained within the enlarged channel.

Abstract: A plate for vehicle having corrugated roofs is provided. The vehicle's corrugated roof forms a plurality of troughs and ridges which extend longitudinally from the vehicle's front to the vehicle's rear. Meanwhile, the roof plate has a top surface that is substantially planar and a bottom surface that includes a plurality of channels and teeth. The roof plate engages and is affixed to the vehicle roof with the roof plate teeth extending into the vehicle roof troughs. Indicia, antenna, or light bars may be mounted to the roof plate's top surface.

Abstract: An emergency guidance and alerting system comprising an organizer located in a room having a door, wherein the organizer is capable of holding a slip sign and a window placard. The slip sign is capable of being placed under a door so that the slip sign can be viewed outside of the room, alerting rescue personnel that an occupant is in the room. The window placard is capable of being attached to a window alerting rescue personnel outside of the room that the occupant is in the room.

The overlay includes, a transparent film having a non-adhesive surface, and an adhesive surface, and a texturized translucent polymer composition, wherein, the non-adhesive surface of the film contacts the polymer composition.

Abstract: A system and method for connecting advertising to footwear is disclosed. The system can comprise a curved rod member, a sheet, and an advertisement. The curved rod member can be mountable above a welt of a footwear. The sheet material can comprise a first curved surface and a horizontal track along the sheet, wherein the horizontal track can connect the sheet material to the curved rod member, and the advertisement can be on the convex side of the sheet material.

Abstract: A laminated sheet construction for use in product packages has a substrate layer onto which there is laminated a transparent solid plastic film with an exposed surface having a transparent thermosetting adhesive coating. The surface beneath the coating may be printed with text and/or graphics which is visible through the film and adhesive. A container for a product may be directly affixed to the adhesive surface. Panels of the laminated substrate may be bonded together for increased strength or for capturing the flange of a container which can project through a window in one of the panels while displaying printing on the other panel through the window.

Abstract: A display system is disclosed having a casing, a drawer and a stopping mechanism. The drawer is inserted into the casing and a hidden section of the drawer is alternately hidden from view and then displayed when the system transitions between retracted and extended positions respectively. The drawer may optionally include an insert that is displayed when the display is in the extended position. In one aspect, the stopping mechanism may be a flexible membrane attached to the inside of the casing and the drawer back. Alternatively, the casing may include a crossbar section disposed within said drawer where fasteners within said drawer prevent drawer extension beyond the crossbar thereby providing the stopping mechanism. Functionally, the display system may serve as a greeting card where images on the casing and drawer are drawn apart on drawer extraction to reveal extended images on the hidden section and the insert.

Abstract: An extended content label with a narrow overlaminate having a substrate, a leaflet and an overlaminate strip. The leaflet is adhered to a section of the upper surface of the substrate and has several overlying panels, longitudinally-extended accordion-type folds alternating along a top and bottom of each panel, and a perpendicular fold oriented normal to the longitudinal direction. The leaflet is a single sheet that is folded into a leaflet without the use of glue. The overlaminate strip is laminated across the entire longitudinal direction of the leaflet and laminated to another section of the upper surface of said substrate to form an extended content label. The height of the overlaminate strip is narrower than the leaflet so that all of the accordion-type folds extend beyond the overlaminate strip.

Abstract: Self illuminated back and front lit signage for a printed graphic. The signage includes a turning film having a structured surface for redirecting light, a diffuser providing for diffusion, and a printed graphic. The turning film receives light from an ambient light source and directs the light via the structured surface toward a viewer of the graphic in order to passively illuminate the signage.

Abstract: The invention relates to a decorative element (10) for a motor vehicle and to a method for producing the same. The decorative element (10) thereby comprises an at least partially transparent decorative film (12) applied to a flat carrier element (30) and back injection molded with two plastic layers (14, 16). At least the first plastic layer (14) is thereby at least partially transparent. The use of the first plastic layer (14) as an optical conductor is thereby made possible, allowing particularly optically attractive light coupling into the decorative element, and opening particularly extensive latitude in design.
