    Abstract: A mobile communications device having an LTE radio technology and at least one other technology (for example, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) determines whether transmissions using the other radio technology causes, or is likely to cause interference in reception of LTE signals. If such interference exists or is likely, then a signal indicating interference is sent to the LTE base station, which can take action to try to mitigate or prevent such interference. The mobile communications device can have a timer so that the interference indicating signal is only sent periodically, either at regular intervals, or whenever the interference is determined to exist after the timer period has expired. In some cases, a signal indicating that the interference level has reduced can be sent, again either at regular intervals, to whenever the interference level changes.

The method further provides generating a signal with a Walsh code for the application and wirelessly transmitting the signal from an internal MIMO antenna element for receipt by a MIMO receive antenna system. The method further provides wirelessly transmitting the signal over the other wireless protocol, wherein a second wireless device including the external MIMO antenna element receives the signal and wirelessly transmits the signal from the external MIMO antenna element for receipt by the MIMO receive antenna system.

According to the technique, when an MTC device that is to send high priority and high bandwidth user plane traffic sends a service request to a network node (P-GW 213a), the network node allows use of a minimum bandwidth bearer in the case where the upper limit of the group bandwidth is exceeded. The MTC device sends a traffic sending request to an MTC server 214a via the bearer. The MTC server stops traffic of an appropriate other MTC device, to secure a bandwidth for the MTC device having the high priority and high bandwidth user plane traffic.
