Patent number: 7658389Abstract: An apparatus for transporting a child safety seat includes a wheeled assembly that may be clamped to the child safety seat. The wheeled assembly includes a plate member having a longitudinal axis on either side of which are formed one or more through holes. Clamping can be achieved by the use of threaded fasteners which pass through the through holes and are secured to a clamping mechanism that helps frictionally secure the plate member to the child safety seat. Suitable clamping mechanisms for this purpose may include a strap that passes through a passageway formed in the rear of the child safety seat, a clamping bracket having laterally extending arms that abut clampingly abut openings formed in the back of the child safety seat, and an structural elbow member integrally connected to the child safety seat against which a clamping force may be applied. The apparatus with attached child safety seat may be wheeled on the ground by a person using one hand.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2006Date of Patent: February 9, 2010Assignee: Go-Go Babyz, Corp.Inventors: Kenneth P. Patent number: 7614651Abstract: An output of a semiconductor impact sensor contained in an air bag ECU is used to make determination in light of a criterion for interrupting a high-voltage power supply, which is different from a criterion for inflating an air bag so that the semiconductor impact sensor forms a redundant system along with a conventional safing sensor to prevent malfunction. Furthermore, an output of the semiconductor impact sensor contained in the air bag ECU is used to make determination for safing and output a safing signal thereby, so that a redundant system can be formed for a front impact sensor, a side impact sensor, and a rear impact sensor. Accordingly, malfunction can be prevented when tampering such as a strike with a hammer occurs.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2005Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kenji Uchida

Patent number: 7604248Abstract: A sliding suspension includes a plurality of locking pins that are selectively moved between extended and retracted positions to allow adjustment of the sliding suspension relative to a trailer frame structure. A lever is fixed to a tube that is supported by a cross-member of a slider frame. A cam is supported on the tube for rotational movement relative to the tube. Laterally spaced locking pins each include a pin connection link that is coupled to the cam. Each locking pin includes a single compression spring, and each pin connection link includes a slot, which cooperate with each other to provide independent pin extension at each pin location. A torsion spring is coaxial with the tube and includes one spring end that is coupled to the lever and another spring end that is coupled to the cam. The torsion spring allows the lever to be decoupled from the locking pins if one or more pins are stuck such that the pull handle can be pulled and locked into place to allow adjustment.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2006Date of Patent: October 20, 2009Assignee: ArvinMeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Braden J.
