  • Patent number: 6874526
Abstract: A hydraulic control device (10, 90) for load pressure-independent control of a double-acting motor, in which by replacing the pressure balance regulator throttle slide valve element (68, 93) but using the same housing (13), the control device can be converted from a directional-control valve (11) with a primary individual pressure balance regulator (12) for load pressure-independent control to a directional-control valve (91) with a secondary individual pressure balance regulator (92) for an oil flow distribution in the event of undersupply. To this end, in a second longitudinal bore (41) containing the control pressure opening (68, 93), the housing (13) has three axially spaced infeeds of control pressure openings (51, 52, 53), which can be activated differently through interchangeable installation of a sealing plug (66) and a stopper (67) and, together with the respective throttle slide valve element, constitute a primary pressure balance regulator (12) or a secondary pressure balance regulator (92).

  • Patent number: 6874533
Abstract: A 3/2 normally closed module includes a main body, a housing and a magnetically energizable coil. The main body includes a bore, an armature and a rod. The housing includes first and second valve seats and is configured to receive a first and second ball. The housing also includes a first, a second and a third port. When the module is in an energized state, current flows through the coil, generating a magnetic field. The magnetic field forces the armature against the rod, which in turn, forces the first ball to engage the first valve seat. As the first ball engages the first valve seat, the first ball forces the second ball to disengage from the second valve seat. As a result, a fluid flow path is created between the first and second ports. When the module is in a de-energized state, a spring, disposed between the main body and the second ball, forces the second ball to engage with the second valve seat.

  • Patent number: 6866063
Abstract: A low leak pressure control actuator for, e.g., controlling pressure in an automatic transmission system, includes a poppet and a check ball slidably disposed within a housing. The poppet and check ball are movable between a de-energized configuration, plural partially energized configurations, and a fully energized configuration. In the de-energized configuration, the poppet and check ball prohibit all flow to and from the supply port and permit flow between the control port and the exhaust port. In the partially energized configurations, the poppet and check ball permit flow to and from all of the ports, and incremental changes in the internal displacement of the poppet produce incremental changes in a control pressure. In the fully energized configuration flow, the poppet and check ball prohibit all flow to the exhaust port and permit fluid flow between the supply port and the control port.

  • Patent number: 6866058
Abstract: A fuel tank vent apparatus comprises a housing. The housing comprises inner and outer sleeves providing a fuel vapor transfer passageway therebetween so that liquid fuel entrained in fuel vapor is shed therefrom as fuel vapor flows from a fuel vapor transfer port formed in the outer sleeve through the fuel vapor transfer passageway to a fuel vapor inlet port formed in the inner sleeve to produce a flow of demoisturized fuel vapor for discharge from the housing.

  • Patent number: 6866059
Abstract: An air-blow valve configured for clean-in-place capability is provided. The valve comprises a valve body defining a valve seat and internal fluid passageways. The valve further comprises valve components disposed within the valve body, including a plug, a piston, and a spring. The valve is separately operatively connected to a pressurized-air source and to a sanitizing-fluid source. In operation, the spring biases the piston, causing the plug to engage the seat, to prevent undesired fluid flow between the passageways and the connecting conduits. Alternatively, the spring biases the piston, causing the plug to disengage the seat, allowing fluid flow between the passageways and connecting conduits. Pressurized air is used to space the plug from the seat to achieve flow whenever desired, or alternatively to engage the seat to prevent fluid flow when desired.

  • Patent number: 6860294
Abstract: To provide a four-way solenoid valve having a three-way solenoid valve of which non-concentricity between a valve element and a valve hole is small, if any. A core of a three-way solenoid is integrally formed with a refrigerant passage extending axially therethrough, an annular projection forming a valve seat, and a guide for guiding reciprocating motion of a needle forming a valve element. A plug closing a cylinder of a body to define the pressure control chamber is also integrally formed with a valve seat and a guide for guiding reciprocating motion of a needle forming a valve element associated with the valve seat. This causes the needles to be seated on the valve seats associated therewith in respective states guided by the guides substantially concentric with the valve holes, which makes it possible to impart sufficient sealing properties to the valve portions when each valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 6860291
Abstract: A directional control valve includes a pressure regulator piston configured as a hollow slide with a radial passage positioned in such a way that a connection from the internal chamber of the pressure regulator piston to a pump pressure annular channel (P) can be regulated by the radial passage and a second radial passage of a directional control valve piston. The second radial passage constitutes a control edge, which is used to regulate the connection from the internal chamber to a load sensing annular channel (LS). An annular groove, which in the neutral position forms a connection from the internal chamber to the load sensing annular channel (LS), is joined to the second radial passage. The pressure regulator is impervious to different flow forces caused by different mass fluxes and ensures that the hydraulic consumer is prevented from moving in the neutral position.
