  • Patent number: 6823897
Abstract: A four-way switching valve free from leakage of a refrigerant is disclosed. The valve includes two three-way switching valves arranged side by side, each having a pressure-regulating chamber, a piston, and a plug coaxially arranged. One of the pressure-regulating chambers selectively communicates with a low-pressure chamber or a high-pressure chamber via a three-way solenoid valve. The other pressure-regulating chamber communicates with another chamber in which the pressure increases or decreases as the pressure within one of the pressure-regulating chambers decreases or increases. As a result, refrigerant leakage is prevented, in turn preventing degradation of the refrigerating power of a system.

  • Patent number: 6820651
Abstract: An electrically actuated valve includes firstly a fixed core (1) accommodating, at least, one coil (2) in, at least, one housing and forming therewith, at least, one electromagnet of the electrically actuated valve. Further, this valve includes a body (4) forming with the fixed core (1) the sealingly tight carrier structure of the electrically actuated valve. Thirdly, this valve includes, at least, one movable core (3) placed between the fixed core (1) and the body (4). This electrically actuated valve is specially innovative in that the fixed core (1) is made as an unitary part from an injected ferromagnetic material and in that it combines several functions, in particular that of the pneumatic connection and/or of the electrical connection of the coil/coils (2). The decrease in the number of parts and the simplification of the design allow, accordingly, an additional miniaturization.

  • Patent number: 6814098
Abstract: A support structure for a C-ring includes a pair of circumferentially spaced holding members on catch plates. The holding members may be moved individually into the C-ring after the C-ring is mounted within an outer housing. The two holding members thus provide support to an inner periphery of the C-ring. A locking plate has support structure moved between circumferential ends of the housing members, thus providing effective support for the C-ring around its entire inner periphery. In this way, the two parts secured by the C-ring need not be moved relative to each other to insert the C-ring. The clearance or ability to move one of the two parts relative to the other which has been required in the past to mount a C-ring, is not necessary. This makes the inventive C-ring particularly useful for new applications, such as holding a porting sleeve within a valve housing.

  • Patent number: 6814103
Abstract: A solenoid valve has a housing having work, pressure, and tank connectors. An armature is movably arranged in the housing and cooperates with a coil. A slide is moveably arranged in the housing and has a hydraulic chamber connected to the work connector and connectable to the pressure connector. A plunger is positioned between the armature and the slide. The armature acts on the plunger which acts on the slide for moving the slide against a counter force. The plunger has a cross-section and the slide has a piston surface cooperating with the plunger, wherein the cross-section is smaller than the piston surface. In another embodiment, the slide has a first end, loaded by a supply pressure of the pressure connector, and a second end, loaded by a return pressure, so that the slide is hydraulically tensioned by the supply pressure and the return pressure.

  • Patent number: 6810911
Abstract: A four-way switching valve includes a first three-way switching valve having a valve element for connecting a port B to a port A, or to a port D via a sleeve, in a switching manner; a second three-way switching valve having a valve element for connecting a port C to the port A, or to the port D, in a switching manner; and a piston for actuating these three-way switching valves. The three-way valves and piston are coaxially arranged within a hollow cylindrical body. A three-way solenoid valve introduces high pressure into a pressure chamber on the upper side of the piston to actuate the valve elements held on the sleeve downward, while the upward actuation is effected with a driving force produced by reducing the pressure in the pressure chamber and configuring guides to have a larger pressure-receiving area than that of a guide.
