Abstract: A method and system for providing a healthcare expense donation network whereby a third party provided healthcare management system, such as a computing system or on-line implemented healthcare expense tacking and/or payment system provides a service through which a healthcare consumer can create a verified patient need profile indicating a need for help in paying their healthcare expenses and requesting donations to this end. At least part of the healthcare consumer's patient need profile data is verified, as well as any other financial and/or personal data associated with the submitted patient need profile that a potential donor, the patient, and/or the provider of the process for providing a healthcare expense donation network desires to be verified. Once the healthcare patient need profile data is verified, the verified patient need profile is made available to potential donors and the potential donors are provided the ability to securely make donations to the patient's healthcare expenses directly.

Abstract: An internet browser software component facilitates online submission of prescription eyeglass orders by receiving frame trace data sent to a computer by a frame tracer and embedding it in an order form prepared for submission over the internet. The browser software component may interpret data sent to any peripheral port on the computer, including serial (COM) ports, Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, and Ethernet ports. The browser software component embeds the frame trace so that it is sent in the same logical packet as the rest of the prescription order. The browser software component may also create a graphical representation of the frame trace and display it in a graphical user interface containing the order form so that the prescription order may be easily reviewed for accuracy before submitting it to be processed.
Abstract: Apparatuses, computer media, and methods for supporting health needs of a consumer by processing input data. An integrated health management platform supports the management of healthcare by obtaining multi-dimensional input data for a consumer, determining a health-trajectory predictor from the multi-dimensional input data, identifying a target of opportunity for the consumer in accordance with the health-trajectory predictor, and offering the target of opportunity for the consumer. Multi-dimensional input data may include claim data, consumer behavior marketing data, self-reported data, and biometric data. A consumer may be assigned to a cluster based on the multi-dimensional input data and a characteristic of the consumer may be inferred. A cluster may be associated with a disease progression, and a target of opportunity is determined from the cluster and the disease progression. An impact of the target of opportunity may be assessed by delivering treatment to a consumer at an appropriate time.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for promoting and managing communications among members of a caregroup. Potential recipients of digital gifts are limited to targets of caregroups in which the members participate. An indication of a digital gift to be delivered in hardcopy form to a hardcopy-based email appliance of the target is received. The email appliance is operable to receive digital gifts and produce hardcopy output of the digital gifts. For each content-containing component of the digital gift, default content items are selected based upon one or more of biographical information previously supplied information regarding communications history with the target, ascertained preferences of the target, and the digital gift type. The member of the caregroup is allowed to initiate delivery of the digital gift with the selected default content items or is allowed to personalize the digital gift prior to delivery within a digital gift editor.

In certain embodiments, the foregoing may generally be based on requesting medical files at a first medical facility, identifying the requested medical files at a second medical facility, initiating a secure network connection between the first and second medical facility, modifying a header portion of the medical files based on patient identification information created by the first medical facility, and other processing steps.
Abstract: A teleradiology image processing system configured to receive, process, and transmit radiology read requests and digital radiology image data is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a radiology processing system includes a series of processing components configured to receive digital radiology data from a medical provider, extract relevant information and radiology scan images from the digital radiology data, and initiate and control a workflow with a qualified remote radiologist who ultimately performs a read of the radiology scan images.
Abstract: In a method for the administration of medical patient data with a centralized or decentralized patient medical file having secured access enabled by the patient or an enable code administered by the patient, wherein the patient data contain all previous examinations with data representing when the examination was conducted and the findings, a check-in of a patient into the device is implemented before a new examination by the physician, the check-in ensuing upon indication of the initial suspicion as well as of the planned examinations, an enable of these examination via a comparison device, particularly an expert system, ensues only when no relevant, previous examinations are present in a specific, preceding time span, and invoicing for the new examination is possible only in conjunction with a documentation of the examination and its results in the patient medical file.

Abstract: Systems and methods verify the content of an electronically transmitted claim, such as a healthcare claim by intercepting the claim, reviewing the claim's contents, and comparing the claim to pre-established claim criteria established by a payer or both a healthcare service provider and payer. If the claim contains the appropriate content the claim is forwarded to its intended recipient, typically a payer such as an insurance company or government healthcare payer; otherwise the claim may be returned to the sender, e.g., a pharmacy, with an indication that it does not contain the correct content. Additionally, the claim may be edited by the system and forwarded in correct form to its intended recipient.
