  • Patent number: 11981208
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle comprises a controller comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions. The system comprises a transformable knob manipulated between first and second states. The knob comprises a body having a periphery wall arranged to flex between first and second configurations with the first and second states, respectively. The system comprises an output device arranged to change between first and second settings. Manipulation of the transformable knob from the first state to the second state transmits an input signal to the controller and facilitates flexing of the periphery wall from the first configuration to the second configuration. The controller receives the input signal, and the processor compares the input signal to the instructions in the non-transitory computer-readable medium and transmit an output signal to the output device to change the output device from the first setting to the second setting.

  • Patent number: 11946425
Abstract: The present invention provides an engine control device that sets a cam signal read value according to a cam signal output from a cam angle sensor, in a front-rear determination position; if the cam signal read value is alternately changed between 1 (LOW) and 2 (HIGH) in the front-rear determination position, sets the cam signal read value to the cam signal expected value; if the cam signal read value is not alternately changed between 1 (LOW) and 2 (HIGH), inverts the cam signal expected value in the control cycle of the previous time, and sets the resultant cam signal expected value; then, when the cam signal read value and the cam signal expected value are equal to each other, distinguishes the cylinders by using the cam signal read value; and when the cam signal read value and the cam signal expected value are different from each other, distinguishes the cylinders by using the cam signal expected value.

  • Patent number: 11945329
Abstract: Presented are intelligent vehicle systems and logic for battery charge control and information display, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A method of operating a vehicle includes a vehicle controller receiving vehicle location data indicating a real-time location of the vehicle and determining if the vehicle's real-time location is within a virtual geofence that delineates a predefined geographic area. If the real-time vehicle location is within the virtual geofence, the controller receives user location data indicating a real-time location of a vehicle user and determines if the user's real-time location is within a predefined proximity to the vehicle. If the user is within the predefined proximity to the vehicle, the controller responsively determines if a vehicle battery is charging; if so, the controller transmits a command signal to a resident vehicle subsystem to execute a control operation related to the charging of the vehicle battery.

  • Patent number: 11912262
Abstract: A vehicle includes an air-conditioning (AC) compressor, an engine, a belt-integrated starter generator (BISG), and a controller. The controller, responsive to detecting a first AC compressor engagement condition, compares a first AC torque demand that is required to engage the AC compressor with an available torque from the BISG. The controller further, responsive to the available torque being insufficient to engage the AC compressor, engages the AC compressor using the available torque from the BISG and an engine torque from the engine to compensate a torque shortfall between the AC torque demand and the available torque by retarding spark timing and increasing air intake.

  • Patent number: 11891900
Abstract: Over-acceleration protection mechanism for ICE or turbine speed regulator with a bushing driven by the gears. The bushing, the component, the washer, the thread, are joined together. The component screws to the thread through the thread. The weights are fitted to the component through the pins and the safety clips, including the valve which is secured by the nut. The lid is screwed to the bushing by means of the screws, while the counterweights come out of the openings of the lid. The thrust bearing and the pressure spring are mounted on the component, adjusted by the screw. The device operates through the centrifugal force which forces the counterweights to rotate in its direction of rotation and to displace the valve by compressing the spring. Then the holes of the fittings communicate with each other, allowing the oil to pass through the joints and the tube and actuate the system.
