  • Patent number: 6283344
Abstract: A hands-free personal hydration delivery system has a tubing assembly that has one end that detachably connects to a feed tube for a container of fluid worn on the back or torso of a user. The other end of the tubing assembly is coupled to a bite valve which is opened when manipulated by the user's mouth to allow fluid to be drawn by suction applied by the user, and is closed when not being manipulated so as to cut off fluid flow in an air-tight condition. An intermediate portion of the tubing assembly is mounted on the user's head or to the user's headgear at a position of higher elevation than the user's mouth. This allows fluid to be drawn to the elevated position and flow downward from there to the user's mouth by gravity feed. The fluid flow can then continue with little suction effort due to the gravity feed and siphoning effect of fluid from the container.

  • Patent number: 6279799
Abstract: An adjustable gun rack for a vehicle. Adjustable straps with buckles are used to be secured to a rigid structure within a vehicle. On the adjustment straps are hooks for mounting a detachable gun case. Usually, several hooks will be provided and several gun cases will be provided so that more than one long barrel firearm may be placed within each gun case and mounted on the adjustable straps. The straps will mount around upright seat backs with the gun cases hanging from the hooks on the straps. The straps could go around a seat bottom with the gun case hanging between the edge of the seat and the floorboard of the vehicle. The straps are flexible and adjustable so they can be configured to fit a variety of configurations in different vehicles. The individual gun case may be detached from the adjustable straps and used with a shoulder strap to transport a long barrel firearm inside the gun case away from the vehicle where the adjustable gun rack is mounted.

  • Patent number: 6273311
Abstract: A carrier for a motor-vehicle roof comprises a bar provided at its ends with two supporting legs which constitute two outer clamping jaws which are for engaging two longitudinal guides secured to the motor-vehicle roof. An inner jaw is pivotally connected to each outer jaw and is moveable between an opened position and a closed clamping position. The bar is provided with a screw for actuating synchronous and symmetrical movements along the bar of two actuating members which are adapted to cause a movement of the two outer jaws towards each other at a first time, until the outer jaws engage the outer lateral surfaces of the two longitudinal guides, whereupon at a second time the two inner jaws are caused to close onto the longitudinal guides, so that clamping of the bar on the longitudinal guides is obtained.
