  • Patent number: 11138603
Abstract: Technologies for managing payment authorization request messaging for payment transactions include a transaction management controller. The transaction management controller receives a transaction amount for a payment transaction from a business management engine and a payment transaction type from a point of interaction device. The transaction management controller initializes a transaction processing module that corresponds to the received payment transaction type. The transaction processing module defines payment processing parameters for processing payment transactions of the payment transaction type. One or more of the payment processing parameters are modified based on configuration data received from a remote configuration device. The transaction management controller processes the payment transaction as a function of the payment processing parameters. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11132670
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for performing payment transactions using indicia-based associations between two or more user interfaces. One method includes: receiving transaction information related to a user's selection of goods or services from a merchant; generating an indicia encoding the transaction information related to the selected goods or services, the merchant, and the transaction amount; transmitting the indicia to be displayed, and to enable a user interface of a first user device to scan the indicia and extract the transaction information; receiving from the first user device, an authorization to process the payment transaction using a mobile payment source; and if sufficient resources exist in the mobile payment source: generating and transmitting a low value token to the merchant indicating the authorization of the payment transaction, wherein the low value token conceals the information related to the mobile payment source; and processing the transaction using the mobile payment source.

  • Patent number: 11107053
Abstract: Systems and methods for validating and processing payment transactions are disclosed. In the embodiments of the invention a first authorization request message and a first verification value are received at a server computer. The verification value is validated and a second authorization request message with a second verification value is generated. The first verification value may be a dynamic value and the second verification value may be static value. The second verification value is associated with portable device used to perform a transaction and it is what the issuer computers of the portable device expect to receive as part of an authorization request message in a payment transaction.

  • Patent number: 11100509
Abstract: Systems and methods for authentication and authorization using physical computing cards include receiving from the physical computing card an authorization request, where the request includes a card identifier and an entity location. Authorized users associated with the card identifier are determined. Identifications of users with pending transactions at the entity location are obtained. Verification is performed by determining that there is a match between an identification of a user to an identification of one of the authorized users. The user is then authorized to access resources associated with the physical computing card.

  • Patent number: 11087328
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to optimizing the secure provisioning of credentials to mobile devices through use of risk decision non-overrides. In some embodiments, a service provider receives a request from a wallet provider to provision a credential associated with an account to a mobile device. The request includes a first risk level associated with the provisioning. The service provider receives a second risk level associated with the provisioning request from an issuer of the account. Based upon determining that a non-override condition exists, the service provider uses the first risk level from the wallet provider and accordingly causes a user authentication to occur. A non-override condition may be determined based upon scenario indicators received within the provisioning request. In some embodiments, the non-override condition may be ignored when the first risk level indicates medium risk and the second risk level indicates high risk.

  • Patent number: 11074659
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining a cause of loss to a property for damage associated with an insurance-related event based upon data received from a second property. A smart home (or other building) controller and/or an insurance provider remote processor may generate a time sequence of events for damage associated with an insure-related event. The smart home controller or remote processor may also receive a time-sequence of events generated by a smart home controller associated with a second property. The smart home controller or remote processor may compare the two time-sequences of events to determine causes of loss associated with damage to the property. The compared data may be further used to assign a portion of the overall damage to each cause of loss. Subsequently, the smart home controller or remote processor may automatically generate an insurance claim for damage to the property associated with the insurance-related event.

  • Patent number: 11023890
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to the generation of a token associated with a status. The status of the token may affect how the token is treated and the types of restrictions placed on the token. The status of the token may indicate that the token is generated based on verification of secure user data. Alternatively, the status of the token may indicate that the token is generated based on insufficient user data and, as such, restrictions may be imposed on the token. The token requestor may be a mobile application, such as a merchant mobile application provisioned on a user device. In response to a token request from the merchant, the token provider issues tokens with varying status based on a confidence level. The status of the token may be indicated in terms of token assurance level.
