Abstract: A system includes a robot configured to load and/or unload from a location, such as a cargo carrier or building. The robot includes a base unit that has a transport system to move the base unit. A mast extends from the base unit, and the mast has a mast conveyor. The mast is configured to extend and retract. An End of Arm Tool (EoAT) is coupled to the mast in a rotatable manner. The EoAT includes an EoAT conveyor configured to move a cargo item to and from the mast conveyor. A gripper mechanism is configured to move between a retracted position where the gripper mechanism is clear of the cargo item on the EoAT conveyor and an extended position where the gripper mechanism is able to grip the cargo item.

Abstract: An ophthalmic substrate conveyor and method of conveying ophthalmic substrates for vacuum deposition utilizes gravity and impulse action energy to convey an ophthalmic substrate to an adjacent vacuum deposition machine, for coating the ophthalmic substrate with an ophthalmic substance through physical vapor deposition. The conveyor provides a spring-loaded lens wheel that selectively retains the ophthalmic substrate during coating. The lens wheel rides a pair of inclined rails, urged by gravity, to a vacuum deposition machine that coats HEV absorbing material onto ophthalmic substrate. An escapement mechanism subassembly transfers impulse action energy to the lens wheel to regulate the speed and direction of the lens wheel across the inclined rails. A rotation servomechanism senses and rotates the lens wheel to the desired orientation during coating. A ring spreader actuator engages springs in the lens wheel to clamp and release the ophthalmic substrate.
Abstract: A wood-processing system having a buffer, which receives and buffers planar workpieces of wood materials or wood substitute materials, and a deposit device, onto which workpieces removed from the buffer can be deposited. At least one robot is included to remove the workpieces from the buffer and to deposit said workpieces on a deposit element of the deposit device and/or at another deposit location in the buffer. The system can be operated continuously, with workpieces being loaded sequentially into the buffer, removed from the buffer by the robot, and sorted onto the deposit device.

An inline hay trailer bracing system includes a bracing device configured to moveably attach to a chassis of a trailer bed, the bracing device including a pair of elongate legs, each leg including a first end having an opening configured to couple to a pin extending therethrough such that the leg pivots around the pin, a foot opposite the first end, the foot including a beveled edge, and a pad above the beveled edge, wherein each leg is pivotable around its respective pin between: a travel position, wherein the foot is raised substantially parallel to the chassis, and a loading position, wherein the beveled edge is configured to engage into a ground, and wherein in the loading position the bracing device is configured to brace the inline trailer bed during rear-loading procedures.

Abstract: A conversion kit for converting a front-loader bucket for use as a forklift, a bale transporter or similar object mover. Parallel tine assemblies pivoted to a bucket top include tines that normally project forwardly, and cooperating vertical arms linked to the tines. The arms are fastened at their bottoms within protective elbow brackets to which the tines are pinned. The arms support hollow pivot sleeves penetrated by axle members that enable tine assembly rotation. A plurality of box-like receivers forming sockets enable the quick connection and/or disconnection of parts. Lower receiver sockets removably support pivot sleeves secured to quick-connect plugs that are penetrated by axle segments. A pair of rigid, tine stowage brackets may be secured at the rear. After the projecting tines are unpinned from front mounted elbow brackets, the tine assembly may rotate over the bucket to an out-of-the way position.

Abstract: A palletizing elevator is provided that lowers gradually a pallet thereon from an upper level as it is filled with products, and by providing an empty pallet infeed system that moves empty pallets towards the palletizing elevator simultaneously to the palletizing of products thereon. Abstract: A pipe puller removably couples to a pipe handler skate using two manually removable pins. The pipe puller includes at least one slide and linear bearing combination, a skate plate affixed adjacent a first end of the slide and interposed between a front skate face and a pipe in the skidway, a pipe grasp pivotal between a first position disengaged from the pipe and a second position engaged with the pipe, linkage coupling the skate plate to pipe grasp and converting reciprocal movement of the skate plate into rotary movement of the pipe grasp, and a puller stop bracket secured to the pipe handler. A pair of force threshold activated pipe grasp assists retain the pipe grasp in either pipe-engaged or pipe-disengaged position until a force threshold is reached greater than and separate from the static and dynamic coefficients of friction of the various pintles and linear bearings.

Abstract: A medium discharging device includes a side cursor, a moving unit, a discharge unit, and a side guide. The side cursor is provided in a processing tray and is provided movable in an intersecting direction intersecting a discharging direction of the medium, aligns an end portion of a media bundle in the intersecting direction, and guides the media bundle in the discharging direction when the media bundle is discharged. The moving unit moves the side cursor in the intersecting direction. The discharge unit discharges the media bundle from the processing tray to the discharge tray where the media bundle is placed. When the media bundle is discharged, the side guide is disposed alongside the side cursor in the discharging direction and restricts movement of the media bundle in the intersecting direction, which is discharged by the discharger.

Abstract: Pill sorting devices are described herein that include a cavity formed from a bottom, a front, a first side wall, and a second side wall, a channel formed at the intersection of the first side wall and the second side wall, and a delivery channel within the front and first side wall or the within the front and the second side wall, wherein the delivery channel is offset from the channel. The pill sorting, counting, and dispensing device can be useful for people with arthritis or poor sight, or could be used commercially in pharmacies or industrially. Methods of making and using the pill sorting, counting, and dispensing devices are also described.
