Abstract: An exercise apparatus has a housing for substantially enclosing a hand of a user, an opening within the housing for receiving a hand of the user, a handle within the housing, and vents in the housing, which is weighted and balanced whereby in use the user grips the handle to perform resistance and aerobic exercises using the exercise apparatus.

Abstract: A squat rack includes a frame, a tread unit, a lifting unit, a pulling unit and a connector. The tread unit includes two treads connected to and located on two sides of the frame for supporting a user's feet so that the frame is firmly kept on the ground by the user. The lifting unit is pivotally connected to the frame and located behind the user in operation. The pulling unit includes a middle portion pivotally connected to a front end of the frame. The connector pivotally connects a lower end of the pulling unit to the lifting unit so that the user can pull the pulling unit to cause the lifting unit to support the user's hips via the connector.

Heights of the first load portion and the second load portion vary depending on a height of one of the plurality of bar support members at which the bar is detachably placed.

Abstract: A balance board system may include a platform, a pivot member, a first bodily engagement member, and a second bodily engagement member. The platform may include a planar body with upper and lower sides and that extends between a first end and a second end. The platform may have a central portion between the first and second ends. The pivot member may be located on the lower side and the central portion of the platform. The first bodily engagement member may be located on the upper side and adjacent the first end of the platform. The second bodily engagement member may be located on the upper side and adjacent the second end of the platform. The first and second bodily engagement members may be configured with respective incline angles relative to the platform.

Abstract: A static and dynamic exercise apparatus has a spatially displaceable object coupled to a frame and a force applicator. A resistance system exerts a first level of resistance that prevents the movement of the object by the application of a user-applied force, thereby allowing a user to generate a static, or isometric, force on the force applicator and object. The resistance system may then be released, to allow movement of the object, thereby rapidly transmuting the static force into a dynamic movement. In various embodiments, the object is a plurality of weights, the force applicator is a weight lifting bar, and the resistance system is a pneumatically actuated piston that is capable of releasably holding the weights and weight bar to the frame.

Abstract: A training appliance for practicing combat sports, contact sports or grappling sports, includes a punching bag having an envelope including a closing wall forming a bottom wall at the lower end thereof, and a second closing wall at the top end. The appliance includes a horizontal base for supporting the bag on the ground, that can be immobilized on the ground and on which the punching bag rests, by the wall thereof. A mechanical connection is established between the base and the wall, authorizing the pivoting movement of the bag around the point of contact between the wall and the sole. The bag also includes at least one unit for returning the same to the vertical position.

Abstract: A handheld resistance exercise device is contemplated for exercise, rehabilitation, warm-up and the like, which provides resistance to muscles, tendons, joints, and fasciae in the upper body and lower back as it is actuated by a user standing a distance away from a vertical surface that is engaged with the device. Actuation thereof by the user in performing various exercise protocols provides stability for one or more muscles of the hand, elbow, shoulder girdle, shoulder blade, rib cage, as well as the inner core muscles, while also providing improved mobility for one or more of the wrist, forearm, elbow, shoulder joint, and muscles that rotate and bend the spine sideways.

Abstract: A selectorized dumbbell incorporates a handle assembly that includes a generally triangularly shaped handle housing having an upwardly extending loop style handle in the manner of a kettlebell handle. The handle housing has angled side walls that provide surfaces on which the user's forearm can rest when doing certain exercises. The handle housing is hollow inside. Various add-on weights are vertically stacked on top of another inside the handle housing. The weights are nested together to prevent sliding relative to one another by tongue and groove and pin and hole interconnections. A repositionable connecting pin can be placed into different positions on the handle housing to selectively couple a desired number of the add-on weights to the handle housing.

Each of the elongate stretching bars includes a main body that extends from a front end to a rear end. The tension assembly is comprised of a plurality of pulleys and a plurality of tension devices positioned upon the pulleys, wherein the tension devices are attached between a frame and the platform. Abstract: A leg press attachment which is configured to be engaged with a squat rack, and thereafter used to perform many different exercises. The leg press attachment is engageable with hooks on the squat rack such that the leg press attachment pivots during use relative to the squat rack yet includes at least one stop for limiting the extent of its pivoting relative to the squat rack. Preferably, the device can be removed from the hooks and engaged directly with the squat rack, during which time the at least one stop secures the device relative to the squat rack. Preferably, the leg press attachment is also configured such that it can be removed from squat rack, and converted to a sled for pushing along the floor.

Abstract: An exercise machine for performing a variety of different exercise routines includes a rotating arm assembly and a swing-away workout station. The workout station may include a bench seat and a stabilizing support, and may be adjusted to provide for a number of different configurations. For example, the bench seat and the stabilizing support may pivot forward and backward, and the stabilizing support may extend upward and downward for supporting the user's body in different positions, while performing different exercise routines.

Abstract: A disk shaped quiet bumper plate for a barbell has a rim of elastomeric material with a shock absorber region. The shock absorber region has a circumferential row of evenly spaced transverse holes. The material between the holes forms radial walls which act as shock absorbers when the bumper plate is dropped. This reduces noise without unduly increasing bounce.

Abstract: A selectorized dumbbell has a plurality of nested weights that provide a stack of left weight plates and a stack of right weight plates. A handle is dropped between the stacks and a selector is inserted into one of a plurality of vertically spaced positions on the handle to couple a selected number of the weights to the handle. The selector has a continuous periphery enclosing an open interior. A user who is exercising with the dumbbell will be alerted to unintended dislodgement of the selector since a portion of the selector's periphery will contact a portion of the user's grip hand, wrist or forearm during such dislodgement. This prevents complete dislodgement and prompts the user to restore the selector to a fully installed position. Side walls of the selector may become curved when the selector is installed to provide an additional frictional force resisting dislodgement of the selector.

Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to an exercise machine for training the muscles of the whole body while specifically targeting the muscles of the legs and back. Specifically, the embodiments herein relate to a Reverse Deadlift Apparatus which allows a trainee to mimic a barbell type deadlift exercise in a safer and more productive fashion. An additional benefit is that the Reverse Deadlift Apparatus encourages a lifter to use proper technique by requiring them to use more of their legs and less of their lower back during the lift. The result of using the Reverse Deadlift Apparatus on a regular basis is that a lifter will increase the strength and power of the muscles of the whole body and specifically will make improvements in the lower body.
