  • Patent number: 5797573
Abstract: A molded clip for attaching wire bundles and the like to aircraft stringers is described. The clip has two major parts, each of which has a matching 45.degree. inclined surface. When a vertically aligned bolt that connects the two parts is tightened, the bottom portion of the clip slides upwardly along the matching 45.degree. inclined surface of the top portion of the clip. This movement causes gripping surfaces of the top and bottom portions to engage and secure the clip to a stringer flange. An upstanding boss having a metallic threaded insert for receiving another bolt is used to secure the wire bundle clamp to the clip.

  • Patent number: 5788210
Abstract: A motor mounting structure is disclosed, by which a central axial line of output shaft can be maintained at the optimum axial position when the motor is mounted on an external device without finishing the motor with high precision. Motor is mounted on actuator by inserting output shaft of motor in insert hole of actuator and fitting the exposed part of radial bearing in engaging recess. In addition, since the engaging surface of engaging recess is finished with high precision relative to radial bearing which have already been finished with high precision, the axial line position of output shaft of motor is brought to the optimum axial line position when motor is mounted on actuator. Therefore, motor can be positioned and connected without finishing the external peripheral surface of body case with high precision.

  • Patent number: 5782441
Abstract: Cable laying apparatuses are disclosed, each comprising a plurality of cable racks and fasteners. A cable rack is provided with at least one longitudinally and horizontally extending hook portion. A fastener is provided with at least one longitudinally and horizontally extending hook portion and a plurality of threaded through screw holes. Cable racks and fasteners used in a cable laying apparatus have corresponding hook portions so that the hook portions of the cable racks and those of the fasteners properly engage with each other. Threaded through screw holes may be provided in a direction other than the direction of the openings of the hook portions of fasteners so that the engagement between the hook portions of the fasteners and the hook portions of corresponding cable racks may be more secure in two directions as the screws having a flat bottom in the screw holes are screwed and press the cable racks.

  • Patent number: 5775493
Abstract: A method and apparatus for labeling media cartridges are disclosed, which include an assembly having a substantially planar surface suitable for supporting a hand while writing. A slot which is sized to accommodate a media cartridge is formed in the assembly substantially perpendicular to the substantially planar surface, such that an edge of a media cartridge is flush with the substantially planar surface when the media cartridge is inserted into the slot. The assembly enhances the facility of writing on the edge of the media cartridge since the substantially planar surface supports a hand in a natural manner. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, recesses are formed within the substantially planar surface on opposing sides of the slot to allow a user to easily insert and remove a media cartridge from the slot by grasping an edge of the media cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5765803
Abstract: A suspension system for a seat for a vehicle having a base frame rigidly attached to the vehicle. The front of a seat support frame is pivotally moveable with respect to the base frame. Springs mounted between the seat support frame and the base frame cushion the seat from forces imparted while driving the vehicle on irregular surfaces. The springs further limit the pivotal movement of the seat support frame with respect to the base frame. There are shock absorbers for dissipating energy absorbed by the springs. The pivotal movement of the seat is around two different axes of rotation, one of the axes being a horizontal axis extending across the width of the vehicle and the other axis being a longitudinal axis extending from the front to the rear of the vehicle.
