Abstract: A method, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a system are disclosed for recommending products based on usage of one or more multifunctional printers. The method includes collecting usage data from a multifunctional printer; classifying the usage data from the multifunctional printer into one or more categories; comparing the usage data from the multifunctional printer in each of the one or more categories to usage data from one or more other multifunctional printers; determining one or more usage patterns for the multifunctional printer from the comparison of the usage data between the multifunctional printer in each of the one or more categories to the usage data from one or more other multifunctional printers; identifying one or more products or services based on the one or more usage patterns for the multifunctional printer; and recommending one or more products or services for the multifunctional printer on a graphical user interface (GUI).

Abstract: Disclosed are a printing method using websocket communication and a management method for a websocket communication channel. The printing method includes establishing, by a printing apparatus, a websocket channel for communicating with an external apparatus, requesting, by the printing apparatus, print data from the external apparatus through the websocket channel, determining, by the printing apparatus, whether a predetermined condition associated with an acquisition of the print data is satisfied in response to the request for the print data, and controlling, by the printing apparatus, a channel duration time of the websocket channel when the predetermined condition is satisfied.

Abstract: A print control apparatus capable of communicating with a printing apparatus, including a sheet holding unit in which a sheet to be used for printing is held, for printing an image on the sheet held in the sheet holding unit includes storage configured to store a type of a sheet, an image, and a setting value of the printing apparatus in association with each other, selects a type of a sheet to be used for printing by the printing apparatus, selects an image to be printed by the printing apparatus, and sets the setting value stored in the storage in association with the selected type of the sheet and the selected image.

When initial white reference data, that is, an initial value of white reference data, is acquired, the control portion performs white reference data acquisition processing in a plurality of reading modes sequentially, and if it is judged that the white reference data meets a predetermined condition through data judging processing in all the plurality of reading modes, the acquired initial white reference data is set as usable, and if it is judged that the white reference data does not meet the predetermined condition through data judging processing in at least one of the plurality of reading modes, the acquired initial white reference data is set as unusable.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a sheet output tray, an operating section, an operation acceptance section, a human body detection sensor, a communication section, a command acceptance section, and a control section. When the command acceptance section accepts a print job command from an external device while a human body is being detected by the human body detection sensor provided at the front of the image forming apparatus, the control section suspends a print job based on the print job command.

Abstract: A method for evaluating a print quality of a printed document that is printed by a printer is provided. The printer comprises a pre-print image scanner, a post-print image scanner, and a printhead disposed between the pre-print image scanner and the post-print image scanner. The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method of controlling transmission of an image, each of which: displays, on a display, an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal; obtains, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; transmits an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to a terminal management server, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; receives an authentication result of authenticating the first privately-owned terminal from the terminal management server; and when the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal, and transmits a print request for printing data relating to the image being displayed to a printer through a network.

The image forming device includes: a cache lockdown unit that executes a cache lockdown to lock down a storage area of the cache memory that stores at least a portion of the image forming program necessary for image formation processing; and a print unit that executes the image formation processing while the storage area is locked down.

Abstract: A raster image processing system including a computer readable media storing digital information that includes information corresponding to an image, and instructions for performing raster image processing (RIP) using an over scan RIP technique on the image to generate a bitmap. Also included is a processor configured to RIP the image using the over scan RIP technique at a multiple of the desired output pixel resolution to produce a plurality of sub-pixels per output pixel. The processor is further configured to determine each image output pixel value based on the values set for the plurality of sub-pixels of each image pixel, by firstly comparing the values of the plurality of sub-pixels to each other and, and then secondly comparing the values of the plurality of sub-pixels to a set background value if needed. The processor then sets the output pixel value based upon that second comparison, and generates a bitmap.

The method includes receiving a request for a form-related service from a client. The form-related service may comprise at least one of generating a form, printing the form, extracting one or more form templates, extracting one or more form schemas, and uploading one or more tenant-created form templates onto a cloud template store. The received request is authenticated. Upon a successful authentication, one or more actions may be performed to render an output based upon the request. The output may include one of a form, the one or more form templates, the one or more form schemas, and a notification for successful or unsuccessful uploading of the one or more tenant-created form templates onto the cloud template store. Upon unsuccessful authentication, an error message may be displayed.

Abstract: The spectral colorimetry apparatus includes an LED, a diffraction grating; a line sensor that has multiple pixels and that receives light dispersed by the diffraction grating at the multiple pixels for respective wavelengths of the dispersed light and outputs voltages according to the intensity of the received light; and a sensor CPU that calculates spectral reflectivity of an object based on the intensity of light reflected from the object. Abstract: A communication system includes a server and a terminal device. In a memory of the server, first identification information is correlated to a plurality of sets of user information and a plurality of sets of restriction information. The first identification information identifies an image processing apparatus. Each of the plurality of sets of restriction information includes information for restricting settings of an image process available to a user specified by a corresponding set of user information. After receiving the target user information and identification information identifying the image processing apparatus, a server side controller acquires and transmits to the terminal device target restriction information. A terminal side controller receives the target restriction information from the server as a response to transmission of the target user information and the identification information; and outputting the target restriction information.
