  • Patent number: 10853930
Abstract: The complex motion associated with machines is a result of the superposition of various frequencies from the multiple component or elements inherent to the design of the machine. These motions can be captured remotely using position sensitive detectors which respond to specific wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum. Present embodiments include but are not limited to a video camera which is able to capture and record video data of an entire machine without contacting the machine, to visually study complex motions which vary both in time and spatially at different locations on the machine, wherein filters applied to the motion present in the video recording are used to identify frequencies of importance and to visualize their impact on the operation of the machine.

  • Patent number: 10827161
Abstract: This invention provides a codec for depth compression and decompression in 3D-video streaming, recording and visualization applications. PROBLEM: Use of 3D-video imaging is relevant to a vast of data to be recorded into storage media and streamed in real-time through communication media with bandwidth limitations. Reduction of 3D-video data amount can be achieved by using variety of compression methods. Some conventional methods of 2D-video processing are applicable also for 3D-video streams. However, significant reduction of video data amount is relevant to use of lossy processing methods, operation-greedy algorithms, and challenges for visual quality of the processed 3D-videos. SOLUTION: The codec for 3D-video depth information compression and decompression, by employing depth similarities between neighboring rows of a single depth frame, and capabilities of rANS-algorithm to compress sets of values that have highly irregular distribution.

  • Patent number: 10739111
Abstract: Digital cloaking is a method for practical cloaking, where space, angle, spectrum and phase are discretized. At the sacrifice of spatial resolution, a good approximation to an ideal cloak can be achieved—a cloak that is omnidirectional, broadband, and operational for the visible spectrum, three-dimensional (3D), and phase-matching for the light field, among other attributes. One example of a digital cloak is an active cloak that uses lenticular lenses, similar to integral imaging for 3D displays. With the continuing improvement in commercial digital technology, the resolution limitations of a digital cloak may be minimized, and a wearable cloak can be implemented.
