  • Patent number: 9906674
Abstract: A user authentication device provided on an apparatus as an object of operation acquires feature data representing notable portion of the user, using a camera device, after user authentication. Based on the acquired feature data, the user authentication device tracks the user by the camera (step S1030). If it is detected by the tracking that the user has left the apparatus, the user authentication device displays a log-in screen image on an operation panel (step S1060). If it is detected that the user once left the apparatus has returned to a position where he/she can operate the apparatus, the user authentication device displays the screen image that has been previously operated by the user. On the other hand, if it is detected that the tracking has been interrupted after the user left the apparatus, the user authentication device executes a log-out process (step S1120).

  • Patent number: 9854135
Abstract: An information processing apparatus of the present invention determines whether or not there is a bias in jobs distributed to a plurality of printers to be used in a distributed printing system. In addition, in a case where there is a bias in distributed jobs, the information processing apparatus decides a color correction target to be applied to a printer having a small number of distributed jobs and resulting in an unused state, applies the decided color correction target to the printer having a small number of jobs, to thereby decide a timing of performing color adjustment on the printer having a small number of jobs. The printer having a small number of jobs and resulting in an unused state is subjected to color adjustment at the decided timing.

  • Patent number: 9832349
Abstract: The invention causes a gloss observed in a reproduction to approach a gloss of a target even if a range in which it is possible to change the gloss in the reproduction is small. An input unit inputs color and gloss data including at least a color signal and a gloss signal of the target to reproduce. A mapping unit maps the color and gloss data into a gloss representable range based on information indicating a gloss representable range of the gloss representation device. A signal generation unit generates, based on the color and gloss data after the mapping, an output signal outputted to the gloss representation device. The mapping unit performs a mapping that saves information indicating a local gloss difference in accordance with a spatial distribution of the gloss signal as the mapping of the gloss signal.
