  • Patent number: 9654630
Abstract: A dialer is configured to connect an agent to a call upon answer and present information to a computer workstation used by the agent as to whether the call was answered by a live person or an automatic call answering device (“ACAD”). An agent override timer is started allowing the agent to override the determination of whether a live person or ACAD answered the call. If an ACAD is reported to have answered the call and the agent does not provide an override indication or provides an override indication after the expiry of the agent override timer, then the agent may be disconnected from the call. If an agent override indication is received prior to the expiry of the agent override timer, then the agent is not disconnected from the call. This allows the agent to override an incorrect determination by the dialer as to an ACAD answering the call.

  • Patent number: 9654619
Abstract: An accurate determination of the disposition of a call origination is made in a contact center by mapping Session Initiated Protocol cause codes to reflect whether a call attempt was made to a remote party. Certain cause codes reflect various conditions where a call may originate from a contact center, but for various reasons, was not offered to the remote party, or more specifically, to an interface associated with the telephone number of the remote party. Reflecting these calls as incomplete calls, as opposed to call attempts, allows the contact center to more accurately reflect the number of call attempts. Accurately tracking the number of call attempts is important to comply with various state and federal regulations regulating the number of call attempts during a given time period. Further, incomplete calls may be symptomatic of a facility failure requiring attention, causing an administrator to be alerted.

  • Patent number: 9641800
Abstract: Three-dimensional video is presented on a two-dimensional display. The view of the video is driven by user interaction. In one example, a two-dimensional (2D) video sequence in real time with a first view is synthesized from a video image sequence with depth captured by a first device. The 2D video sequence with the first view is provided to a second device in real time. A command is received from the second device to change a view of the 2D video sequence as the video sequence is rendered. The view of the 2D video sequence is changed as it is rendered to a 2D video sequence with a second view, and the 2D video sequence with the second view is provided to the second device in real time.

  • Patent number: 9641576
Abstract: A cloud-based video/audio conferencing system and method performs locale based aggregation of a full duplex media stream to organize multiple connections to a conference call that originate from the same physical location or a shared locale. The cloud-based video/audio conferencing system performs synchronization of the microphone and speaker audio signals of the same-locale connections. In this manner, a conference call may be held with multiple user devices making connections from the same physical location. User experience is enhanced by allowing each user in the same location to use his/her own individual devices to connect to the same conference call.

  • Patent number: 9565369
Abstract: Techniques are provided for dynamically adapting the view from a conference endpoint that includes a presentation apparatus, such as a whiteboard. A first signal is received that includes a video signal derived from a video camera that is viewing a room during a conference session in which a person is presenting information on a presentation apparatus. During the video conference, switching is performed between the first signal and a second signal representing content being displayed on the presentation apparatus during the conference session for output and transmission to other conference endpoints of the conference session. The determination as to whether to supply the first signal (for a normal view of the conference room) or the second signal may be based on a position determination of the presenter or may be instead be based on an external view selection command received from another conference endpoint participating in the conference session.
