Abstract: A shared VM received from a telephone number is associated with a shared VM inbox that is accessible to a group of users including a first user and a second user. A request to assign a responsibility for the shared VM to the first user is received. Based on the request, a callback action usable to initiate a call to the telephone number is enabled for the first user, and the callback action is disabled for the second user and with respect to the shared VM. Based on an indication that the first user performed the callback action, a status associated with the shared VM is updated.

Abstract: A method and a system for routing an emergency call to a PSAP [322]. Upon receiving an emergency call request from at least one user device [302] at an eNodeB [304], an ESMLC [310] computes a current location information of the at least one user device [302]. Further, a GMLC [312] identifies a serving cell identifier for the at least one user device [302] based on the current location. Furthermore, an emergency location platform [314] identifies at least one PSAP [322] in a cell site master database [316] based on the serving cell identifier and extracts one or more parameters for the at least one user device [302] from a subscriber information database [318]. Lastly, the emergency location platform [314] provides at least one of the current location information and the one or more parameters to the identified at least one PSAP [322] on an access network channel.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for video broadcasting includes receiving, via a graphical user interface (GUI), first information relating to a first shot including one or more first digital media resources and second information relating to a second shot including one or more second digital media resources. A first video feed in accordance with the first information is played on a digital canvas. A second video feed in accordance with the second information is loaded on the digital canvas, such that the second video feed is hidden by the first video feed. A broadcast is generated by capturing a series of video frames of the digital canvas, and the broadcast is transmitted to one or more first remote devices.

Abstract: One embodiment is directed to detecting that a cable has been connected to a port of patching equipment and detecting that the cable is no longer connected to said port. In response to detecting that the cable is no longer connected, information associated with fixed cabling coupled to said port that is captured by a cable tester is downloaded to a controller. The downloaded information is associated with said port and the downloaded information and association information is locally stored at the controller. The locally stored information can then be used to create and/or populate objects in a database. Another embodiment is directed to including a storage device and a wireless interface in patching equipment or other equipment such as an outlet or consolidation point for use in writing information to the storage device and reading information from the storage device via the wireless interface. Abstract: A device may receive voice call data indicating that a voice call has been initiated between a first device and an interactive voice response device. The device may obtain, based on the voice call data, a user account identifier identifying a user account and obtain, based on the user account identifier, user account data including user authentication data. The device may receive user input provided by the first device during the voice call and determine, based on the user authentication data, that the user input fails to authenticate a user associated with the user account. The device may receive data indicating that the voice call has terminated and identify, based on the user input failing to authenticate the user, a second device. The device may perform an action based on the second device and the voice call data.

Abstract: Various aspects include systems and approaches for providing audio performance capabilities with one or more far field microphones. One aspect includes a method of controlling a speaker system with at least one far field microphone that is coupled with a separate display device. The method can include: receiving a user command to initiate an audio performance mode; initiating audio playback of an audio performance file at a transducer at the speaker system; initiating video playback including musical performance guidance associated with the audio performance file at the display device; receiving a user generated acoustic signal at the at least one far field microphone after initiating the audio playback and the video playback; comparing the user generated acoustic signal with a reference acoustic signal; and providing feedback about the comparison to the user.

Abstract: A method may include determining that a digit pattern has been input on a user device to initiate a call; transmitting the digit pattern to a device that stores a list of digit patterns to which calls are not to be completed; receiving, from the device, data that indicates whether the digit pattern is on the list of digit patterns; prohibiting the call from being initiated with a network when the data indicates that the digit pattern is on the list of digit patterns; and initiating the call with the network when the data indicates that the digit pattern is not on the list of digit patterns.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for smoothing audio gaps using adaptive metadata identifies an initial audio segment and a subsequent audio segment that follows the initial audio segment. The method accesses a first set of metadata that corresponds to a last audio frame of the initial audio segment and accesses a second set of metadata that corresponds to the first audio frame of the subsequent audio segment. The first and second sets of metadata include audio characteristic information for the two audio segments. The method then generates a new set of metadata that is based on both sets of audio characteristics. The method further inserts a new audio frame between the last audio frame of the initial audio segment and the first audio frame of the subsequent audio segment and applies the new set of metadata to the new audio frame. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for routing civilian calls to an associated public-safety officer is provided herein. During operation, a call processor receives a civilian call having a target identifier number identifying a target of the call. An incident identifier is then received from the calling party. A current workflow point is determined for the identified incident, and the call is routed to an appropriate person based on the workflow point for the identified incident.

Abstract: A method for permitting unfamiliar call, applied to a communication device having a memory and a call-blocking app to provide an unfamiliar call, includes the steps of: configuring an area in the memory of the communication device as a storage unit; recording at least one password into a password-correlated table in the storage unit, each of the at least one password being related to a specific user of the communication device; as an unfamiliar call is received, asking a caller of the unfamiliar call to provide an answer for a trivial question immediately provided by the communication device; determining whether or not the answer matches any of the at least one password in the password-correlated table; forwarding the unfamiliar call to the user corresponding to the matched password listed in the password-correlated table if positive; and, blocking the unfamiliar call if negative.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to solutions for processing multi-party audio. A first client obtains a piece of music from a virtual space, in which the virtual space is created by the first client and configured to support communication among the first client and at least one second client entering the virtual space, the music includes a first audio. The first client obtains a second audio matching the first audio from at least one client in the virtual space. The first client plays the first audio and the second audio.

Abstract: Methods, a system, and computer readable media are disclosed to provide an enhanced Communication Waiting applications service. Enhancements include a method for handling an incoming communication received before an outgoing communication is acknowledged and a method to handle a second incoming communications to a user device before the first incoming communication is acknowledged by the user. Such methods remove limitations on existing techniques by allowing users to select between pending and new incoming calls. In some embodiments, calls not selected by the users are placed on hold or routed to voicemail.

Abstract: An example computing device is configured to perform functions including receiving a plurality of spectral data associated with a respective plurality of playback environments corresponding to a respective plurality of playback devices. The functions also include, based on the plurality of spectral data, determining a plurality of representative spectral characteristics. The functions also include receiving particular spectral data associated with a particular playback environment corresponding to a particular playback device and identifying a given one of the representative spectral characteristics that is representative of the particular spectral data. The functions also include, based on the given one of the representative spectral characteristics, identifying calibration data for use by the particular playback device when playing back audio and transmitting, to the particular playback device, the calibration data.

Abstract: Example techniques relate to a playback device that facilitates queue identification. In an example implementation, a playback device receives, from a first controller, instructions representing a command to populate a playback queue with one or more first media items; the instructions are associated with a first application identifier corresponding to the first controller. Based on the received instructions, the playback device populates the playback queue with the one or more first media items and forms an association between the playback queue and the first application identifier. The playback device receives, from a second controller, instructions representing one or more first commands to access the playback queue; the instructions are associated with a second application identifier corresponding to the second controller.

Abstract: An interactive whiteboard appliance includes the capability to integrate and manage, in a user-friendly manner, interactive electronic whiteboard sessions and videoconferencing sessions between the interactive whiteboard appliance and one or more client devices. An application manager executing on the interactive whiteboard appliance manages an interactive whiteboard application and a collaboration client executing on the interactive whiteboard appliance to maintain a videoconferencing session window on top of an interactive whiteboard session window during videoconferencing sessions. The application manager also provides graphical user interface controls displayed on the interactive whiteboard appliance that allow users to initiate and manage interactive electronic whiteboard sessions and videoconferencing sessions, including switching between interactive electronic whiteboard sessions and videoconferencing sessions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for initiating an Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) for facilitating user interaction with the automated call handling system such as Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. A computer-implemented method may obtain a command for initiating an IVA system during a call between a mobile device operated by a user and an automated call handling system. Next, the method may obtain a first natural language command from the mobile device, determine a first user action based on the first natural language command, and transmit the determined user action to the automated call handling system. Finally, the method may obtain a first audio response from the automated call handling system in response to the transmitted user action, and transmit the first audio response to the user upon determining that the first audio response includes information associated with the first user request.

Abstract: A join service joins first and second computerized meetings. The join service receives information about the first and second computerized meetings from respective first and second meeting services. In response to a request from one of the first and second services to join the meetings, the join service translates audio, video, and data signaling between the first computerized meeting service and the second computerized meeting to join participants in the first computerized meeting and participants in the second meeting in a combined computerized meeting. An alternative join service obtains a uniform resource indicator (URI) for an agent of the first meeting. In response to a request from a participant in the second meeting to access the first meeting, the join service provides the URI to the second meeting service to allow the second meeting service to join the second meeting to the first meeting.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating communication sessions between multiple communication points. The method includes receiving a communication request from a first user device associated with a first user, through a first communication point. The first communication point may be enabled with a context-to-call (C2C) feature. The method further includes determining a first communication mode selected by the first user device through the first communication point. The method includes identifying a second communication mode selected by a second user device associated with a second user. The method further includes processing the communication request based, at least in part, on a matching between the first communication mode and the second communication mode. The method further includes transmitting the communication request from the first user device to the second user device. The method includes initiating a communication session based on the processing step.

Abstract: Smart appliances communicate over a local area network. A selected sound palette includes multiple soundfile groups that each include multiple soundfiles. Each soundfile within a given sound palette has a first common sound attribute, each soundfile within a given soundfile group has a second common sound attribute, each soundfile within a given soundfile group has a variation of the second common sound attribute that is unique among the soundfile groups, and each soundfile within a given soundfile group has a unique variation of a third common sound attribute. One soundfile group may be assigned to each of the appliances, and one soundfile within each soundfile group may be assigned to an alert type. The assigned soundfile group is sent to the appliance with identification of the alert type to which each soundfile is assigned, such that the appliance may use an assigned soundfile for audible alerts.

The gain values are transferred in a differential manner as side information. However, for starting decoding of such streamed compressed HOA data frame representation absolute gain values are required, which should be coded with a minimum number of bits.
