Abstract: After the end of initial processing, such as a setting of a priority mode, a print schedule (a job execution schedule and a roll paper loading schedule) is created in consideration of the type, the remaining amount, and the like of roll paper loaded in each of a plurality of slots constituting an autochanger. Then, a possible loading time is obtained, which is a time at which roll paper can be loaded into a loading target slot that is a slot in which the roll paper is to be loaded during execution of continuous printing.
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a controller configured to perform a storage printing process that includes receiving a print job containing a first user name via the communication interface, storing the print job in the memory, and performing printing based on the stored print job when the first user name matches a second user name after accepting the second user name input via the user interface. When a cancel instruction has been input via the user interface while the printing based on the stored print job is being performed in the storage printing process, the controller cancels the printing based on the stored print job. When the cancel instruction has been input via the user interface while the print job containing the first user name is being received in the storage printing process, the controller continues the storage printing process without canceling the receipt of the print job.
Abstract: In a case where an image forming apparatus operates as a master station that determines a communication channel to be used in wireless communication, the image forming apparatus transmits a second trigger frame, which is compliant with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 standard and includes information indicating that carrier sense is to be executed, to a slave station apparatus connected to the master station.
Abstract: An information processing method to be performed by an information processing apparatus according to an embodiment may include: causing an authentication processor to perform a login authentication based on an operation performed on an operation section; and causing an exclusive control executor that gives a usage right to use a function to the operation section after the operation section is authenticated by the login authentication and releases the usage right given to the operation section in a case where no response is received from the operation section for a predetermined time after the usage right is given to determine, based on a detection result by a status detector that detects a status of the information processing apparatus, whether or not to release the usage right given to the operation section after the predetermined time passes.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an operation portion disposed at a front side with respect to an image reading apparatus main body in a front-rear direction of the image forming apparatus, with the operation portion being positioned above the discharge tray in the vertical direction, and with the operation portion being capable of tilting. The operation portion includes a near field communication portion configured to communicate with a telecommunication device by near field communication, a touch panel configured to receive an instruction from a user via a touch operation, and a cover portion configured to cover the near field communication portion, the cover portion being provided with a mark as a target over which the telecommunication device is to be held to communicate by the near field communication.
Abstract: The present information processing apparatus transmits content HTML format to an external apparatus to cause print data to be generated in the external apparatus. Furthermore, the information processing apparatus determines whether or not an element that cannot be converted into print data by the external apparatus is included in the elements included in the content and, as a result of the determination, converts the element that cannot be converted into print data by the external apparatus into a format that can be converted into print data. Moreover, the information processing apparatus transmits the converted element to the external apparatus to cause the external apparatus to generate print data of the content.
Abstract: A schedule adjustment apparatus includes a storage portion, an acquisition portion, and an adjustment portion. The storage portion stores a schedule for giving an instruction to perform maintenance of the image forming apparatus. The acquisition portion acquires, from the image forming apparatus, state information indicating a state of an image formed on a sheet by the image forming apparatus. The adjustment portion adjusts the schedule based on the state information.
Abstract: To enable a user to more easily set a rule relating to folder allocation and file naming at the time of filing data, such as a document scanned image and a received facsimile, and storing the file. On a user interface screen for setting a rule relating to property information that is used at the time of allocating a file to a folder for storage, at least a first area for editing the rule and a second area displaying an item a user can select are provided. The item is a unit element for a user to set a character string configuring the property information and corresponds to a character string of an arbitrary attribute a user can set. Then, the rule is created by the item selected by a user from the second area being arranged at a position designated by the user in the first area.
