Abstract: A flow splitting valve assembly is inserted into the afterfill line of a conventional water closest ballcock valve, the valve assembly including adjustable valves for directing some of the afterfill flow into the watercloset. The adjustable valves provide means for selecting after fill flow rates at various supply pressures.

Abstract: A collapsible portable shelter or changing room comprising a body of circular bellows like configuration capable of manufacture on current plastic mold equipment with current plastic materials. The bellows like walls overlap vertically and integrally down the side around a large aperture in a spring-like manner from tension on the rib folds by manual downward pressure. The accordion-like wall, when fully collapsed, substantially fits within an optional carry case fastened to the shelter floor. The structure is raised for use from a collapsed into an extended form by manual release of fasteners, causing the bellows wall to spring upward, without assistance, providing a large interior volume sufficient to enclose a person for use as a toilet shelter or changing room.

Abstract: A disposable protector for toilet seats having a cover of paper or similar material with a center cut-out generally conforming to the opening in the seat. The cover has a retainer member which may be in the form of a flange or tab which engage the inner edge of the seat to temporarily secure the protector in place during use. The underside of the cover may also have a frictional material such as latex or a low-tack adhesive. The cover may be treated with a suitable anti-bacterial agnt and may be provided to the consumer in a dispenser or in individualized packages that may be conveniently carried by the user.

Abstract: An apparatus is set forth wherein an elliptical seat defined by a major and minor axis includes a plurality of diametrically opposed support legs aligned and coextensive with the minor axis of the elliptical seat, with the seat including a matrix of drainage apertures therethrough, as well as a comfort ridge aligned with the major axis of the elliptical seat. Modifications include telescoping members received within the seat support legs, as well as telescoping links for securing a foot rest member thereon. The foot rest member is also structured for sliding adjustment along the links for adjustment thereof relative to the links. Further, foot support members may include cushioned cavities defined within support members mounted to the seat by flexible lines.

Abstract: A vacuum flush water closet having the bowl, rim and pedestal made of china. The water closet has a self contained flushing water dispensing valve and sewage discharge valve control system operatively mounted around and under the bowl. The water closet is secured to the floor/deck by use of a base mounting plate. The sewage discharge valve is fixedly secured to the underside of the bowl and the said valve is manually opened and spring closed. Flushing water is supplied through a flexible flush tube mounted around the underside of the upper rim of the bowl. The flushing water is directed by a vacuum operated water dispensing valve. The operation of the water dispensing valve is controlled by a 3-way vacuum switch. The sewage discharge valve is manually operated by a foot pedal mounted below and in front of the bowl. The duration of the sewage discharge valve opening time is controlled by the manual operation and release of the foot pedal.

Abstract: A baby bathtub is provided with a housing having therein a supporting frame assembly controlled by a control rod assembly through an extension handle to move upward or downward along four dovetail-like vertical projections on the inner wall thereof so as to adjust the level position of a mattress which is mounted on the supporting frame assembly for the lying thereon of a baby. Drain pipe is attached to the housing and controlled by a drain control device.

Abstract: A multi-purpose shelter adapted for use as a toilet, shower or changing enclosure of such size as to accommodate a person, has in a sectional embodiment a floor with ventilation and drainage slots surrounded by a cylindrical truncated shell containing a plurality of pliable wall sections of progressively reduced diameters which may be raised in a telescopic manner, held freestanding in an extended position by friction, is quickly and easily set up on site without tools for special instruction and collapsible into a low profile form for quick and easy transportation, storage or shipment.

Abstract: Heavy duty weather and actinic resistant protective blanket for pool covers which is attachable at the leading edge of a pool cover so that upon furling the cover, the blanket surrounds, both longitudinally and laterally, the pool cover. Fastening means to secure the blanket to itself in the furled condition is provided, preferably cooperatingly disposed strips of VELCRO.TM. hook and loop material. The leading edge of the pool cover is secured to the trailing edge of the blanket by stitching, grommets, barbed plastic rivets, straps, line or the like. The blanket is at least 1/8th the length of the cover and an embodiment for free form pool cover is shown.

Abstract: A closet flange protector is set forth to protect and overlie a water closet flange and test plugs during a construction proceeding. The protector includes an inverted cup-shaped member including an upper disk portion provided with spaced diametrically opposed wells. A downwardly depending skirt depends downwardly from the disk and associated wells terminating in a continuous conical skirt. The conical skirt and wells include aligned through-extending apertures for receiving diametrically opposed threaded bolts. The bolts include threaded fasteners received within the wells to secure the well to a floor structure and overlie an associated water closet flange.

Abstract: Hydrotherapy apparatus including a rigid elongated conduit having a supply orifice and a discharge orifice. The conduit is mounted for swivel movement to enable the discharge orifice to traverse a path characterized by a series of small circular or semicircular path segments linked by translational path segments. The conduit is moved along said path by reaction forces produced by the discharged stream. The stream is produced by a supplied water jet which entrains air and/or tub water, as selected by the user. Valve means are provided for selectively varying the amount of air entrainment and/or water entrainment and/or supplied water jet.

Abstract: A syphonic flush toilet having a conventional water tank having a drain outlet in its bottom wall. The tank has a lid having a plunger aperture therein. A syphon assembly formed of a floating top housing member and a stationary bottom housing member are located in the tank. The floating top housing member has a top wall having a downwardly extending annular outer side wall and the bottom housing member has a bottom wall having an upwardly extending annular outside wall. The annular outer side wall and the annular outside wall of the respective members are matingly telescopically connected to each other about a vertical axis. An air chamber is formed in the floating top housing member. A discharge pipe has its bottom end passing through the bottom wall of the bottom housing member and its lower end is secured in the drain outlet of the tank. The top end of the discharge pipe extends upwardly into the interior of the neck portion of the floating top housing member.

Abstract: A shower strainer mounting assembly (10) comprises an elongated cast-in adaptor coupling (12) for being cast into concrete having a lower end portion (16) for receiving standard 2 inch pipe (24) and an upper portion end (18) with an inner diameter of at least 37/8 inches. A separate pan-mounting flange member (14) comprises a circular tubular portion (36) having a continuous round external surface of a size and shape for fitting snugly into the top of the cast-in adaptor coupling and an internal surface with a diameter of less than 3 5/16 inches but at least 2 11/16 inches in cross section and a flange portion (38) attached to the upper end of the tubular portion extending radially outward from an outer surface (40) thereof.

Abstract: An adjustable hinge assembly to be fastened to a sanitary fixture, such as a bidet or a toilet, and to a seat and/or cover, is disclosed. The movable hinge element is shaped so as to be insertable into a correspondingly shaped fixed element mounted in the rear of the seat and/or cover, respectively. The movable hinge element is provided with means to fix the movable element at a desired insertion depth so that the front section of the seat and/or cover match the outer peripheral profile of the front upper rim of the fixture.

Abstract: A bathtub liner comprising a bottom panel, two lateral panels and an end panel, the panels having a non-slip surface. The lateral panels are substantially rigid and attach to the tub walls by suction cups. Affixed to the lateral panels are support members or handles. The support members are detachable. The support members may also be detachably affixed to the bottom panel.

Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for dispensing liquid soap into or adjacent to a water stream emitted from a primary shower head mounted to a water line of a selected size. The apparatus has an auxiliary shower head from which a branch line extends of a size smaller than the water line size. It also has a mount for mounting the auxiliary shower head adjacent to the primary shower head with the branch line in fluid communication with the water line. A liquid soap reservoir is mounted in valved fluid communication with the auxiliary shower head.

Abstract: A globular flapper valve for use in combination with a conventional toilet tank. The flapper valve consist primarily of a normally submerged lever-actuated plunger valve having connection with two separate but interconnected air chambers. A first and upper air chamber is formed in a pneumatically sealable globular container, the upper chamber having open drain access to a lower chamber which has access to a reservoir drain. The first air chamber is operatively connected to the plunger valve and the entire unit is controlled by an attached lever which may be selectively actuated to obtain a partial and alternatively a full flush.

Abstract: A hydrotherapy tub massage apparatus comprising a mixing chamber provided by the cooperative disposition of the human body with a surface of the hydrotub. Directional water ejectors for air inducting water ejectors are used to direct a stream of water or water and air essentially coplanar with the surface of the tub and into the chamber which is formed by the cooperative disposition of the human body with the surface of the tub. In one version, a flexible fabric is attached near the source of the ejected water or water and air flow so that it is disposed between the fluid flow and the body which is immersed in the hydrotub. The rapidly flowing water causes an undulation of the fabric in the concomitant massage effect is transmitted to the body.

Abstract: A toilet seat is provided with a device for lifting it automatically whenever the toilet cover is lifted, and for leaving both seat and cover in place on the bowl after the cover has been lowered. For this purpose the seat is fastened to the bowl by two long screw-threaded bolts which extend below the rear ledge of the bowl and whereof one bolt is longitudinally perforated for insertion of a flexible cable. A tubular guide is adjustably and concentrically screwed onto the bolt end and contains a helical spring. The cable extends through the spring and its lower end is connected to the bottom end of the spring by a plug which can move inside the tubular guide, while its upper end is wound around the hub of the toilet seat. The spring is tensioned by adjusting the position of the tubular guide along the screw-threaded bolt, so as to exert a force on the plug and through the cable on the hub of the seat of a magnitude sufficient to raise the seat alone, but not both the seat and the toilet cover.

Abstract: A filter trap assembly of the type to be used in a sink or other similar plumbing facility and including an elongated vertical pipe section connected at an open end to the drain of a sink and including a closed end defining a liquid reservoir. A filter housing is disposed intermediate said open and closed ends and is structurally adapted to have a filter element removably disposed therein in interruptive relation to liquid flow passing along the length of said vertical pipe section from said open to said closed end in order to trap any solid materials therein.

Abstract: Apparatus for adapting containers, such as 12 and 16 ounce beverage cans and bottles, for use as a cuspidor. The conveter is comprised of a housing open at the top and bottom with an inverted frusto-conical member tapering downwardly and inwardly from a top edge of the housing to a predetermined position therebelow. The conical member has a bottom aperture which communicates with the top opening. A baffle member is disposed beneath the conical member inside the housing for dividing the housing into top and bottom portions. The baffle member has a central aperture extending therethrough which is substantially in registration with the bottom aperture of the conical member to define a central passageway. The baffle member includes a tapered portion which is adapted for being inserted into the open mouths of different sized containers, such as standard beverage bottles, to direct material introduced into the housing via the top opening into the container.
