Abstract: A hygienic toilet seat assembly where the toilet seat has the shape of a key ring with the overlapping placed at the rear region of the seat. A flat tubular protection cover is moved over the seat to protect it from being soiled and to protect the toilet user from contamination. Due to the overlapping configuration, the whole surface of the seat is covered by the protection tube. The seat can be lifted like conventional seats.

Abstract: A flusher disinfector for emptying, cleaning and disinfecting of a bed-pan (20) is provided with a device (16,36) which turns the bed-pan and moves the turned bed-pan over a nozzle (58), so that all interior surfaces of the bed-pan is sprayed by direct liquid jets from the nozzle.

Abstract: A two-piece closure device for a shower curtain includes a wall attachment strip having a pre-applied adhesive backing for adhering such strip to a vertical wall surface adjacent an end edge of the shower curtain, and a curtain attachment clip adapted to be fastened to an end edge of the shower curtain in alignment with the wall attachment strip by folding a flap on one side of the curtain attachment clip over until a projecting rib portion on the flap moves into locking engagement in a channel on the curtain attachment clip with the curtain edge disposed therebetween. The wall attachment strip and curtain attachment clip have releasably interfitting male and female portions for releasably connecting the two pieces together.

Abstract: A retainer for a knife sheath or pistol holster allows the weapon to be positioned at various positions relative to the strap. The retainer is fastened at its top and bottom to the weapon case by fasteners which leave spaces between the top and bottom. Sockets are secured to the case and face toward the retainer. The sockets are located between the fasteners at the top and bottom. Holes extend through the retainer. Pins insert through holes into the sockets. The pins may be selectively removed from the sockets to change the path or loop for the belt.

Abstract: A device for hydraulic massages comprising: (A) a spray enclosure consisting of a drainage hood (5) and a sump (8) and (B) at least one spray nozzle (9) controlled by a coordinate guide (13). A patient is placed upon the readily deformable impact area (1) and is separated from direct contact with the working fluid. The patient support may consist of a flexible screen (2) in the form of a tensioned cable grid supported by a frame (3) on supports (4). The sump (8) may be bounded by a perforated draining partition (7) splitting off an additional compartment of the sump (8) named reservoir (12). Fluid drained into the sump (8) and the reservoir (12), if any, may be reused.

Abstract: A convertible shower stall platform and ramp combination is shown for use with an invalid's shower chair. The shower stall platform has leveling screws and a vertical flange around at least three sides and drain holes formed near the rear flange. There is a ramp for connection to the front edge of the platform. A turning platform may also be used assembled to the front edge of the shower stall platform where the ramp is capable for connection to either the right or left side of the turning platform and quick-release pins are provided between the ramp and turning platform and between the turning platform and the shower stall platform. The sides of the ramp and of the turning platform have vertical, upturned flanges to guide and retain the wheels of the invalid's chair as the invalid is transported up the ramp and onto the shower stall platform by an attendant. There is a removable safety bar installed across the front edge of the shower stall platform to retain the invalid's chair within the shower stall.

Abstract: The invention resides in a box-like structure having provision for removable attachment thereof to the arm rest of a vehicle, typically the arm rest conventionally provided at the vehicle front seat. The structure has an open front end via which a drawer may be moved between opened and closed position relative to the box. The drawer is adapted to contain tape casettes, discs, etc. The mounting structure is sleeve-like and is adapted to slip rearwardly over the arm rest, having also straps for securing the box in place.

Abstract: A fluid controller for a fluid supply system such as the plumbing supply system for a bathroom comprises hot and cold fluid temperature sensors and flow sensors which are installed in respective ones of the hot and cold fluid supply pipes upstream of the fluid discharge outlet. Hot and cold fluid flow control valves operated by valve motors are also installed in such pipes. The sensors and motors are connected to a microprocessor including a comparator means which is operative to compare values programmed in a memory means with signals received from the sensors so as to generate control signals for the motors so as to obtain a desired fluid temperature and flow rate at the discharge outlet. The controller can be installed in an existing plumbing system without disturbing the existing faucets and manual control valves. Alternatively, the controller can be used in a new installation with or without manual control valves.

Abstract: A feminine urinary device which permits women, both adults and children, to urinate in a standing position. The urinary device is a disposable substantially flat flexible pad having a hingedly attached flap with expandable side walls to permit the flap to move from a collapsed flat configuration downwardly to an open expanded configuration, forming a conduit for the passing of urine when the pad is held firmly in place by the user and the conduit is aligned with the opening of the urethra. The urinary device can also be constructed by forming an aperture in the pad and attaching thereto an expandable spout to form the conduit.

Abstract: The invention is a reservoir for placing in a fixed position on the ground, for example a swimming pool or a storage tank for liquid and/or solid (bulk) goods having little or no cohesion, for example crop products, coal, manure, spreading salt and the like, having at least a bottom and an upright wall connecting thereto which is resistant to outwardly directed pressure. The invention further provides to this end a reservoir of the type referred to above which displays the feature that the upright wall consists of a number of vertical piles placed in a closed configuration at intervals from one another, a vertical wire mesh arranged between these piles and a bottom element extending on the bottom, on which element an upright wall part is formed or arranged resting against the inner side of the said wire mesh.

Abstract: A self-standing inflatable bath is provided which is constructed in a manner somewhat similar to the construction of an inflatable rubber raft, and which is intended to be placed on a solid surface, such as a patio, deck, and the like; or to be floated in a swimming pool, ocean, lake, or other body of water. The bath is filled with water, or water is circulated through the bath. Pressurized steam is introduced into the bath to inflate the bath and to heat the water in the bath. The steam also serves to create bubbles in the bath water for therapeutic effects. The bath may be used as a whirlpool bath for further therapeutic effects.

Abstract: A shampoo support for children which includes a support frame with contoured neck support padding and back support padding located between parallel frame sides and a flexible mat for receiving the lower back and hips of a child. A back support end defines one end of the support frame and is positioned adjacent to and beneath the neck support, to support a net or sieve for receiving the hair of the child during a shampoo. Support legs extend beneath the support frame for orienting the support frame in a selected angular configuration on a flat surface and in a preferred embodiment, one end of the flexible mat is attached to the back support edge of the support frame, with the opposite end attached to a spindle and the mat is rolled on the spindle when the shampoo support is not in use.

Abstract: A shower stall structure for bathing having a shower area defined on three sides by upright walls and having an open side area with a shower curtain mounted therein to provide a covered point of entry for a person. A shower enlarger mounted in the shower area. The enlarger comprises a one-piece curtain rod having an offset medial section engageable with an upper area of the shower curtain for providing a greater stall space for upper body movement while showering. The offset medial section includes a pair of angular curtain rod sections which extend in diverging relation away from opposite ends of the offset medial section. The angular curtain rod sections have end sections at outer ends thereof. The outer ends of the end sections extend in opposite directions away from one another. Fastening structure is provided for securing the outer ends of the end sections in assembly with opposed upright walls of the shower area.

Abstract: A shower head assembly is comprised of a diverter valve for diverting the water supply to one of two shower heads. One of the shower heads is generally laterally and adjustably displaced from the other of said shower heads by means of a swivable extension arm and the entire assembly is easily installable on the existing overhead water supply line of a shower stall or bath enclosure.

Abstract: A float is slidably mounted on the upright overflow tube or other upright guide in the toilet tank. As the water level lowers during flushing, the float descends so that a valve actuator on the bottom of the float closes the flapper valve when the water level is partway down the tank, to conserve flush water.When it is desired that the user have a choice between a limited flush for the flushing of liquids and a full flush, a hook is provided so that it can be manipulated to engage the float to hold the float in its raised, non-actuating position. By manipulation of the flush handle, the hook on the flush lever can be moved between the float-engaging and the float non-engaging position.

Abstract: Impact absorbing bumpers are contoured to be seated on the supporting surfaces of toilet bowl rims in cross-sectional alignment therewith at angularly spaced locations before attachment to the underside of a toilet seat. The toilet seat when hingedly mounted on the toilet bowl is displaced to its lowered position for attachment to the seated bumpers by adjustable attaching means.

Abstract: A urine aspiration system for the management of urinary incontinence comprising an absorptive pad adapted to temporarily receive and retain urine until it is drawn from the pad by an associated vacuum source. The pad comprises an absorptive core encased within a covering of hydrophobic material such as polyethylene sheet material. The upper cover sheet of the casing has a myriad of perforations to render it permeable to liquid, while the lower backing cover sheet is impermeable. Tubing from the vacuum source is coupled to a central opening of the pad so that urine may be readily drawn out of the pad when the vacuum source is activated, leaving the outer covering of the pad feeling dry and comfortable to the patient. A collection vessel is mounted between the vacuum source and the pad to collect the urine drawn from the pad.

Abstract: In a toilet apparatus comprising a bowl, a seat member adapted to overlie rim portions of the bowl, and a cover member adapted to overlie the seat member, the improvement comprising channels disposed in the seat member and cover member, a plurality of holes extending from the channels to the undersurfaces of the seat and cover members respectively, and fluid conveying means interconnecting the channels with fluid source means, whereby fluid means may be conveyed by the channels and holes and directed against the rim of the bowl and an upper surface of the seat member to effect cleaning thereof.
