  • Patent number: 6866155
Abstract: A display rack for the display of merchandise packages with provisions for moving product packages toward the front. A pusher sled is formed of front and back plastic wall panels, spaced apart at the bottom, with side opening notches at the edges and downwardly opening notches at the bottom for sliding engagement with and support by a base comprised of four spaced-apart, parallel wire-like supports. The four support wires are disposed in a flat plane and serve as a sliding support for product items placed on the display rack. The four wires also guide, support and retain the pusher sled for easy sliding movement under the urging of one or more coiled strip springs. The springs are confined between the wall panels of the sled and strip portions thereof extend through openings in the, front wall panel to anchor points at the front of assembly. The four support wires are connected at their ends by welded cross bars, which in turn are supported in small plastic base members.

  • Patent number: 6866120
Abstract: A portable tree stand for use with non-vertical trees provides standing and seating platforms that may remain parallel and may be adjustable. Adjustments include a slidable seat platform and a slidable standing platform that may be extended to allow adequate seating and standing space to compensate for tree trunks that diverge from the vertical. Additionally, the distance, or height, between the standing platform and the seating platform maybe varied. A threaded chain tensioner tightens a chain around the tree helping hold the stand to the tree, and optionally a tree screw secures attachment to the tree trunk. An adjustable seat support post establishes a parallelogram relationship between the seat platform and the standing platform such that an angular relationship, which may be parallel or non-parallel, may be maintained between the seat platform and the standing platform.

  • Patent number: 6863155
Abstract: A mobile scaffolding (10) for elevating a worker (not shown) above a floor or ground surface (S) is disclosed. The scaffolding (10) broadly includes a pair of frames (12) and (14), a platform (16) supported by the frames (12,14), a pair of casters (18, 20) and (22,24) rollably supporting a respective one of the frames (12,14), and a brake assembly (26, 28,30, and 32) associated with a corresponding one of the casters (18,20,22,24), respectively. The inventive brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) enable the worker supported on the platform (16) to selectively activate and deactivate the respective brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) from the platform (16). This enables the worker supported on the platform (16) to deactivate the brake assemblies (26,28,30,32), reposition the scaffolding (10), and then reactivate the brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) without requiring the worker to dismount from the platform (16).

  • Patent number: 6845846
Abstract: A climbing aid including an elongated member with a first end and a second end, a generally rigid pad member secured to the first end of the shank, and a stirrup and spike attached adjacent the second end of the shank is disclosed. The pad member is secured to a metal support. An adjustable strap secures the pad and the support to the wearer's leg. The shank is pivotally mounted to the support of the pad via a housing and a pivot member that fits within the housing. The shank may pivot laterally or transversely. The housing prevents the pad and support from twisting the pad about the wearer's leg as the wearer climbs or stands on a pole. The length of the shank may also be adjusted.
