  • Patent number: 11860682
Abstract: The techniques discussed herein generally relate to a method and system for qualitative modeling of and reasoning about the behavior of spatio-temporal physical systems. In some embodiments, qualitative representations based on Tonti diagrams are used to describe lumped or distributed parameter systems. Using a topological structure of the physical system, some embodiments generate qualitative governing equations as symbolic constraints on qualitative state variables. The qualitative constraints may be used to produce a qualitative simulation of the physical system. The qualitative simulation may be used to guide conceptual design iterations with given design criteria, or for instantiation of quantitative or hybrid (qualitative and quantitative) models and simulations.

  • Patent number: 11836431
Abstract: A chip package system comprising N multiple processor cores can be tested by receiving a data file characterizing the chip package system. Thereafter, simulation testing is conducted for each core for each of Mi . . . j states using the data file such that each core is active in each state while all other cores are inactive. Each simulation test results in a simulation. The simulations are then combined to result in a composite test covering MN*j combinations. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Patent number: 11813797
Abstract: In an example, mesh model data representing at least a portion of a print job to be generated by an additive manufacturing apparatus by solidifying build material is received at a processor. Using a processor and based on the mesh model data, it is validated whether the three-dimensional print job described by the mesh model data conforms with at least one of material-dependent shape constraints and apparatus-dependent shape constraints of the additive manufacturing apparatus. If the result of the validation is positive, the mesh model data is rendered, using a processor for manufacturing the three-dimensional print job by an additive manufacturing apparatus. If the result of the validation is negative, a predetermined action is performed.

  • Patent number: 11790131
Abstract: The disclosure relates to testing software for operating an autonomous vehicle. In one instance, a simulation may be run using log data collected by a vehicle operating in an autonomous driving mode. The simulation may be run using the software to control a simulated vehicle and by modifying a characteristic of an agent identified in the log data. During the running of the simulation, that a first type of interaction between the first simulated vehicle and the modified agent will occur may be determined. In response to determining that the particular type of interaction will occur, the modified agent may be replaced by a interactive agent that simulates a road user corresponding to the modified agent that is capable of responding to actions performed by simulated vehicles. That the particular type of interaction between the simulated vehicle and the interactive agent has occurred in the simulation may be determined.
