Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems, and control systems to provide a platform to facilitate implementation of an interface, and, more specifically, to a computing and data storage platform that implements specialized logic to optimize effectiveness of content in electronic messages as a function, for example, modifiable portions of the content. In some examples, a method may include publishing a first electronic message including data representing a subset of components of electronic message, identifying a performance criterion against which a performance metric may be monitored, monitoring a value of the performance metric, determining a match, and publishing a second electronic message.

Abstract: A network system can communicate with user and provider devices to facilitate the provision of a network-based service. The network system can identify optimal service providers to provide services requested by users. The network can utilize context data in matching service providers with users. In particular, the network system can determine, based on context data associated with a user, whether to perform pre-request matching for that user. A service provider who is pre-request matched with the user can be directed by the network system to relocate via a pre-request relocation direction. When the user submits the service request after the pre-request match, the network system can either automatically transmit an invitation to the pre-request matched service provider or can perform post-request matching to identify an optimal service provider for the user.

Abstract: Providing inter-virtual agent communication between communication devices owned by different users is provided. A first communication channel and a second communication channel are established with a remote data processing system. A virtual agent-to-virtual agent handshake is performed during establishment of the first communication channel. Virtual agent commands are exchanged with a remote virtual agent located on the remote data processing system via the first communication channel. An action corresponding to a virtual agent command received from the remote virtual agent located on the remote data processing system is performed while a human conversation is conducted via the second communication channel.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for managing networks. According to at least one example, a method is provided for connecting to a network controller across different regions. The method includes identifying a first connection with a network orchestrator during establishment of a second connection with the network orchestrator from a network controller; establishing a sibling session that links the second connection and the first connection at a control plane; inserting a sibling data message that identifies the sibling session into control messages sent; receiving a message from the network orchestrator over the second connection, the message including an address of the network controller associated with the second connection; and transmitting the second address of the network controller over the first connection to the network orchestrator.

Abstract: Systems and methods for embedding remote applications into HyperText Markup Language (HTML) pages. An example method comprises: identifying, within a HTML page rendered by a browser, a frame referencing a remote application; determining at least one of: a size of a window for rendering output of the remote application on a virtual desktop produced by a virtual execution environment running the remote application or a position of the window on the virtual desktop; causing a remote access session to be established with the virtual execution environment; transmitting a first message specifying at least one of: the size of the window on the virtual desktop or the position of the window on the virtual desktop; and causing the frame to be displayed within the HTML page by the browser for rendering output of the remote application.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for online distribution of content by receiving, from a user's mobile device, a request for a web page hosted by a publisher's CMS; applying a rules engine to analyze a received URL according to a set of rules identifying one or more website types and/or referrers; if the received URL satisfies the rules engine, redirecting the received request to a syndication server system hosted within a global CDN; adding a URL of the web page to a missing content queue and redirecting the request to the publisher's CMS if the CDN syndication server does not contain a suitable mobile-formatted version of the web page; and delivering a package of binary compressed content of the web page to a stub page cached at the user's mobile device by the CDN syndication server, using recirculation and monetization components chosen by the publisher.

Abstract: In some implementations, a computing system can reduce startup delays for presenting remote media items. For example, when a user requests media content from a media service, the computing system can include information about the first media item to be played in the initial startup messages to reduce the number of roundtrips needed between client and server devices to present the first media item. A media item can include an introductory asset. The introductory asset can be a portion of the full media item that can be decrypted with a local key or not encrypted at all so that a media client can receive and start presenting the introductory media asset quickly while the full media item is being processed by the media client. In some implementations, the system can remove leading silence from the media item so that the amount of delay perceived by the user is reduced.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium has instructions executed by a processor to receive network session information from network monitoring devices distributed throughout an enterprise network. The network session information characterizes communications between a client device within the enterprise network and a server external to the enterprise network. The network session information is transformed into vectors of network communication session parameters. The vectors are combined into different time series of data. A similarity measure is computed between the different time series of data to detect unique sessions between the client device and a middlebox network device within the enterprise network or unique sessions between a middle box network device within the enterprise network and the server. The unique sessions are evaluated to infer relationships between networked devices within the enterprise network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for discovering network metrics relating to communications between a client device and a server device via a network. The client device may send one or more queries to a network device of the network. The network device may reply to the query of the client device with network metrics. The client device may forward the network metrics to the server device. For instance, an administrator at the server device may receive the network metrics. As such, the network metrics are discoverable by the client device and/or the administrator. Furthermore, the administrator may be able to use the discovered network metrics to monitor and/or troubleshoot a performance issue.

Abstract: A first machine identifies, from among a non-static collection of machines, a respective set of forward contacts that comprises a set of machines. The set of forward contacts are distributed along the ordered sequence in the forward direction away from the respective machine in an order of increasing similarity between the respective channel number assigned to the first machine and a respective channel number assigned to each of the set of forward contacts. The first machine establishes a respective direct communication channel between the first machine and each of the set of forward contacts. The first machine sends a first query to a first forward contact and sends collected answers for the first query to at least a second forward contact that has a greater similarity to the first machine based on the respective channel numbers of the first machine and the first and second forward contacts.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing cookies, including separately managing cookie data associated with different browser tabs. Cookie management includes the isolation of whitelisted cookies from server responses into background storage and then back onto server requests, removing those cookies from the response header and thus from the cookie store. This isolation is managed with the concept of tab ownership between parent and child tabs to maintain isolation separately for each owner (e.g., the parent) and its children. Exposure to client pages is handled by placing those cookies into a keyed location in session storage for every tab where that cookie is to be visible. An event is then triggered for that client page to let it know that session storage has been updated.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intent-based disaggregated and distributed composable infrastructure. In some embodiments, a computing system might receive, over a network, a request for network services from a customer, the request comprising desired characteristics and performance parameters, without specific information regarding any of hardware, hardware type, location, or network for providing the requested services.

Abstract: A method and system of unifying data transmission and storage in a communication network are provided. The method comprises determining, by a coordinator associated with a network data analytics function (NWDAF) service instance set, what data that more than one NWDAF service instances in the NWDAF service instance set requires, if the data required by the more than one NWDAF service instances is the same, requesting, by the coordinator associated with the NWDAF service instance set, the data from a network function service instance set, and receiving the data from a data storage function that is notified by the network function service instance set of the request from the coordinator associated with the NWDAF service instance set.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system obtains physical and social environmental data for a communication device user, and provides content for presentation at the device. First reaction data, obtained via sensors associated with the user, indicate the user's reaction to presentation of the content; the data is analyzed to determine user affinity for the content in a context of the physical and social environments. The content is modified during the presentation; second reaction data is obtained and analyzed to determine a second user affinity for the modified content. If the affinity is enhanced, the modified content is sent to other users' equipment via a social network. Affinity responses regarding the modified content are analyzed, and a set of users is identified as an affinity group; additional content is transmitted to equipment of the affinity group. Abstract: A content management system for customizing and controlling data distribution is disclosed. Data items can be customized and dispersed to disparate reception terminals according to various control mechanisms where they can convey relevant information to local or remote stakeholders. Data items can be integrated into existing data distribution structures in real time according to applicable control mechanisms and distribution protocols. Data resources can be efficiently used in distributing data under predefined and configurable conditions. Control mechanisms and distribution protocols can be determined based on an interested user's recognized status within the system. Design of the distribution system allows for informed delivery of essential information in a controlled and automated fashion such that users can interact with the system in receiving or distributing current and relevant information across the distribution network for others to access.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to establishment of communication between a computing devices and a gateway via a Mobility Management Entity (MME) and a base station, wherein a communication channel is initially established between the computing device and the base station, based on which the MME performs authentication of the computing device and also creates an Evolved Packet System (EPS) bearer between the computing device and the gateway.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for an internet of things (IoT) device. In some implementations, the IoT device can select an operating role for the first IoT device in a local network. The operating role may be selected from between an endpoint role and a relay role. The operating role may be dynamically selected by the first IoT device based whether the relay role would enhance connectivity for a client device that is within a wireless range of the first IoT device. The IoT device may participate in a self-organizing network (SON) and may coordinate with other devices in the SON to enhance wireless coverage for the client device based on a position of the client device relative to the one or more IoT devices.

Abstract: Various example implementations are directed to circuits, apparatuses, and methods for providing virtual computing services. One example involves a data storage device and a set of computing servers communicatively coupled to the data storage device. The set of computer servers provide a respective virtual data center for each of a plurality of accounts, and the respective virtual data center for each account provides virtual services specified in a respective settings file for the account stored in the data storage device. The virtual data center for at least one of the accounts includes a set of virtual desktops and a set virtual servers, including at least one Voice-over-IP (VoIP) server. The VOIP server provides VOIP service for a plurality of users of the account.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate meter to meter matching for media identification. Example apparatus disclosed herein include an unknown signature comparer, a stack counter, and a reference database updater. The unknown signature comparer is to select a candidate unknown signature segment meeting a threshold length from a set of unknown signature segments collected at a first audience measurement location and to compare individual signatures of the candidate unknown signature segment with a collection of unknown signature segments collected at a second audience measurement location. The stack counter is to count a number of times that the candidate unknown signature segment matches unknown signature segments in the collection and to identify the candidate unknown signature segment as a matched signature segment when the number of times meets a counter threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed are some implementations of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for managing members of online social network conversations. A user can access a list of members of an online social network conversation by interacting with a user interface element of a graphical user interface (GUI). The list of members can be modified directly via interaction with the list.
