  • Patent number: 5528854
Abstract: An insect bait assembly (10) for retaining a volume of insect bait (16) which includes an elongate support body (12) having spaced ends (26, 28), an upper surface (22) and a lower surface (24), and a reservoir (14) monolithically formed with the support body (12). The reservoir (14) has a peripheral wall (34) extending upwardly from the upper surface (22) of the support body (12) and substantially surrounding and defining an interior cavity (36) for holding the volume of insect bait (16). The support body (12) has a reinforced region (58) configured for strengthening the support body (12) and resisting bending of the support body (12) proximate the reservoir (14).

  • Patent number: 5528850
Abstract: A fishing lure has a weak point so as to avoid losing the body of the lure if the hook of the lure snags a large submerged object. The weak point is in the shank of the hook, and it is provided with a parting strength that is less than the tensile strength of the line. Pulling hard on the line if a snag occurs causes the weak point to shear, allowing retrieval of the body of the lure. The weak point is a neck section surrounded by a groove, having a diameter less than the diameter of the remaining portions of the shank. The weak point is formed by a crimping tool which deforms the shank of the hook.

  • Patent number: 5528849
Abstract: A camouflage tube, a portable camouflage concealment structure for use by hunters and bird watchers and nature photographers is disclosed. The invention has a plurality of hoops in an axial spaced apart relationship that forms an upstanding open ended tube. A mesh panel is disposed between a topmost hoop and an intermediate hoop and is in stitched communication with the topmost hoop. A camouflage panel is disposed below the mesh panel and is in stitched communication therewith. A plurality of straps attached to the topmost hoop urge removable communication with a branch of a tree or the like. Finally, a plurality of arcuate loops are disposed on an inner side of the apparatus and are in stitched communication with the camouflage panel and friction communication with the intermediate hoop.

  • Patent number: 5524379
Abstract: A fishing lure includes a hook having an elongate shank, a weighted head connected to the shank, and a barbed end. An arm is connected to the head of the hook, and includes a free end thereof extending outwardly from the hook. A chamber is connected to the free end of the arm. A plurality of steel shot are contained in the chamber for producing a rattling noise as the fishing lure is drawn through the water.

  • Patent number: 5525065
Abstract: Electronic interconnection of two printed wiring structures. Two printed wiring boards or a flexprint circuit and a printed wiring board are interconnected by creating a plated hole pattern on a surface of the printed wiring board, and wherein holes of the pattern have a concave cross section. The holes of the plated hole pattern are mated with corresponding bumps or dimples disposed on the second printed wiring board or the flexprint circuit. The holes formed in the first printed wiring board are disposed a predetermined depth below a surface of the printed wiring board, typically to a depth of between 0.007 inches and 0.020 inches below the surface. The plurality of plated holes are formed by electroless plating or electroplating of the holes. The present interconnection structure provides for reliable and self aligning interconnection of the two printed wiring boards or the flexprint circuit and printed wiring board.
