Abstract: A suppressed pistol has a breech block and a slide mounted on a frame. The breech block and slide are separate pieces, movable relatively to one another and the frame. A link extends between the breech block and the frame. The link carries a cam and a cam follower. The cam follower on the link engages a cam on the frame, the cam on the link engages a cam follower on the slide. Action between the cams, cam followers and the link causes separation between the breech block and the slide during operation of the pistol. The suppressor includes a container having baffle plates with truncated cones defining openings offset from the geometric centers of the baffle plates.

Abstract: Embodiments of a predictably fragmenting projectile having internally-arranged geometric features are disclosed herein. According to various embodiments, a predictably fragmenting projectile having internally-arranged geometric features can include a substantially solid core of a material; a substantially continuous and smooth outer ogive; a plurality of petals attached to the core and formed from the material, each of the plurality of petals can include a smooth outer surface and can be formed by two break lines formed on the inside of the petals; and a cavity that is located proximate to the core and inner surfaces of the plurality of petals. The fragmenting projectile can be configured to deform by at least one of the plurality of petals pivoting outwardly relative to the cavity.
Abstract: A bullet seating die for assembling shoulder breeching rifle cartridges that aligns the bullet co-axial with the case shoulder. Bullet seating depth is set relative to the datum line of the case shoulder and is adjustable. Shoulder breeching rifle cartridges use the shoulder, exclusively, to position the cartridge in the chamber. Therefore, cartridges assembled with this die will position the bullet concentric with the bore of the barrel and at a set distance from the bore with greater precision and consistency than cartridges produced by die of previous designs.
Abstract: An exemplary dot sight device includes a sight body, an illumination unit, an optical system, first, second and third movement blocks, and first, second and third adjustors. The first, second and third movement blocks are disposed in the sight body. The first adjustor is coupled to the first movement block and operable to cause the first movement block to move thereby causing the illumination unit to be displaced along a first axial direction. The second adjustor is coupled to the second movement block and operable to cause the second movement block to move thereby causing the illumination unit to be displaced along a second axial direction different than the first axial direction. The third adjustor is coupled to the third movement block and operable to cause the third movement block to move thereby causing the illumination unit to be displaced along the second axial direction.
Abstract: An end plate and castle nut, including at least some of an end plate having at least one pawl, wherein said at least one pawl extends from a biased, tension arm formed in the end plate; and a castle nut having one or more grooves formed in a front face of the castle nut, wherein each of the one or more grooves is formed so as to accept at least a portion of the at least one pawl at least partially therein.
Abstract: A receiver and a method for manufacturing it are disclosed. The receiver contains an incomplete receiver containing a first receiver opening configured to accommodate an ammunition magazine, a second receiver opening containing a first and a second protrusion, a buffer tube insert containing an upwardly extending lobe, a first side panel positioned within the second receiver opening, the first side panel containing a first panel opening configured to accommodate the first protrusion, a second side panel positioned within the receiver second opening, the second side panel containing a second panel opening configured to accommodate the second protrusion.
Abstract: Disclosed are several examples of suppressors for not only suppressing the blast and flash produced as a projectile is expelled from a firearm, but also reduces backpressure and heat absorbed by the suppressors during each shot.
Abstract: A deliverable weapon, such as a missile, an artillery round, an aerial bomb, or a mortar round, having an explosive warhead, utilizes concentric annular sleeves that upon detonation provide placement of smaller fragments of an inner annular sleeve interstitially with respect to larger fragments of an outer annular sleeve in an expanding fragmentation curtain that contains expanding gases to increase the pressure of the explosion and the kinetic energy transferred to the fragments. In embodiments, the sleeves are comprised of ordered layers of spherical metal fragments encased in binder material and an outer casing.

Abstract: A flying machine includes a flying machine body including a rotor blade; a frame including a frame body supporting the flying machine body, and a pressing section that is pressed against a target object at least at two locations separated along a direction orthogonal to a width direction of the frame body; and a detector fixed to the frame, and having a detection direction that is a direction orthogonal to a direction joining the two locations together and facing toward the target object.
Abstract: A cased telescoped cartridge that includes a cylindrical case surrounding a projectile, a front end through which the projectile exits when the cased telescoped cartridge is fired, and a thermal protective insert located at the front end. The thermal protective insert insulates the cased telescoped cartridge from heat emanating from a barrel of a firearm into a chamber of a firearm when the cartridge is loaded into the chamber of the firearm. The thermal protective insert is made up of at least one thermally insulating material, and is integrated into the front end of the cased telescoped cartridge.

Abstract: A striker fired semi-automatic pistol or handgun that utilizes a magazine positioned horizontally and in front of the grip. The pistol of the invention includes two recoil springs and two locking lugs positioned on each side of the barrel (1 per side) which has a corresponding set of locking blocks. A sliding stripper rail is utilized to move cartridges from the magazine to the barrel. The grip is detachable and completely customizable, using a small solid tang to connect the grip to the firearm.
Abstract: A camera system having a sight device, with a housing configurable for securing about a weapon, the camera connects with a smart phone device for displaying an image from the sight device for accurately targeting with a weapon.
Abstract: A system having a digital reticle and an application running on a processor. The digital reticle has an indicator structured to provide a notification signal to a user. The digital reticle is configured to receive a ballistics profile from an electronic ballistics calculator. The application is configured to determine a predicted terminal performance value of the projectile based, at least in part, on the ballistics profile. The application is further configured to receive a user input indicative of a desired terminal performance value for a projectile and to transmit a signal corresponding to the user input. The digital reticle is further configured to receive the signal corresponding to the user input and to activate the indicator when the predicted terminal performance value does not exceed the desired terminal performance value.
Abstract: An auxiliary caliber weapon system that allows a conventional shotgun, such as a pump action shotgun or other firearm, including artillery weapons to be modified to fire ammunition rounds of a selectable caliber. The system includes a barrel assembly and to load an ammunition round within the shotgun or other firearm and a shotgun shell adapter of a selected auxiliary caliber is utilized. The shotgun includes a stock with grip a receiver and an internal magazine. The shotgun barrel is removed and the system's barrel assembly is attached to the shotgun, interfacing with the receiver. An ammunition round of a selected auxiliary caliber is inserted into the adapter, which is then placed into the magazine via a loading port. When the shotgun pump is actuated the adapter with the auxiliary caliber round is loaded from the magazine into the receiver, and is ready to be fired.
Abstract: An electric hydraulic motor system for aircraft having at least a taxing and takeoff mode. While in the taxiing and takeoff mode, a battery and optionally other sources of energy stored within the aircraft together provide energy to drive an electric motor, which in turn drives a hydraulic pump creating hydraulic pressure within the aircraft hydraulic system. The increase in hydraulic pressure within the system actuates a hydraulic motor connected to the aircraft wheels, thereby providing rotation to the wheels of the aircraft, moving the aircraft forward.
