  • Patent number: 10834523
Abstract: An autonomous transport device system is enabled for one or more autonomous vehicles and autonomous surface delivery devices. Specific pickup and drop off zones for package delivery and user transport may be defined. The system leverages an artificial intelligence based learning algorithm to understand various environments. Packages may be dropped off in the geofenced areas. In some instances, packages may be stored in hidden areas that are purposely cached local to a likely delivery area. Some areas may be marked for pickup and drop off. Shippers may cache certain packages proximate to locations based on demand, joint distribution centers, and the presence of multiple transport devices including rovers, drones, UAVs, and autonomous vehicles.

  • Patent number: 10819448
Abstract: In order to address the potential for antenna failure in large antenna arrays, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication, e.g., at a base station or CPE. The apparatus detects a failure of a plurality of antenna elements in an antenna array associated with an antenna module in an antenna array comprising a plurality of antenna modules. The apparatus then applies a mitigation procedure in response to detecting the failure, e.g., when a fraction of antenna elements for which a failure is detected meets a threshold. The mitigation procedure may include any of switching to a different codebook, increasing DL or UL transmission power, or a VGA. The failure may be detected by transmitting pilot signals using sets of antenna elements of the antenna array and using signal strength measurements to detect antenna element failures.

  • Patent number: 10805762
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software technology for providing access control with respect to bots is disclosed herein. In an implementation, an access control service monitors a location of a device with respect to a geographic area. In response to when the device has entered the geographic area, the service grants a bot associated with the geographic area with access to the device. The service may grant the bot with continued access to the device if an end-user conversed with the bot while it had access. However, the service may deny the bot the continued access to the device if the end-user did not converse with the bot.

  • Patent number: 10798669
Abstract: A method of enabling a first wireless information device to access absolute location data in which the first wireless information device does not possess its own absolute location finding system but is instead able to receive, over a wireless network, absolute location data from a second wireless information device that does have its own absolute location finding system. The present invention hence enables wireless information devices to share absolute location data: for example, a mobile telephone with GPS capability can be used as a local “beacon” to broadcast its absolute location to any nearby devices over a personal area wireless network (e.g. a Bluetooth network) so that those nearby devices can use that location data. Hence, a camera with no location finding system of its own could obtain location data from a nearby GPS equipped mobile telephone over a Bluetooth PAN and watermark its images with location data.

  • Patent number: 10798582
Abstract: Users may enroll one or more devices based on device information and a resource information associated with a resource. Such information and identifiers may be tokenized according to a hash algorithm to generate an enrolled user token. This enrolled user token may be utilized to verify communications and status changes of the user device. In response to a change of status of the user, similar information as that used to generate the enrolled user token, or at least a portion thereof, may be gathered from the user device and subjected to the same hash algorithm to generate a current user token. The current user token and the enrolled user token may be compared to determine if the user device is a spoofed device.

  • Patent number: 10759421
Abstract: A control device for a vehicle includes a camera sensor and an ECU. The ECU defines a specified area based on a position of a stationary object when the recognized objects include the stationary object. The ECU performs first driving support for reducing a possibility of a collision between a moving body and the host vehicle when the recognized objects include the moving body which is positioned within the specified area. Boundary lines partitioning the specified area include a first traveling direction boundary line extending in a traveling direction of the host vehicle. An inside of the specified area is a side on which the stationary object is positioned with respect to the first traveling direction boundary line. The first traveling direction boundary line is set on a side opposite to the stationary object across a reference line set based on a predicted course of the host vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10755382
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for stitching image Chinese characters into a word. In the system, a scanning module scans a plurality of images, wherein a physical space of each image is mapped with one logic space on which a colliding unit is formed; when a collision event between the colliding unit of the image and a colliding unit of its neighboring image occurs in the logic space, an associating module associates the Chinese character corresponding to the colliding unit with the Chinese character corresponding to the colliding unit of its neighboring image to generate a word, and when the word was recorded in a pre-stored vocabulary, a displaying module displays the word; in this way, the system enables Chinese beginners to learn words such as compounds, idioms, and proverbs, which improves the efficiency of Chinese beginners to learn Chinese, promotes their learning enthusiasm, and enhances user experience.

  • Patent number: 10735913
Abstract: A system and method for transmitting packets to a plurality of network devices that cannot be accessed via a single hop. The system includes a source, which issues a multicast message to those network devices in close proximity, and also transmits an encapsulated multicast message to a distribution node. This encapsulated multicast message may be routed using traditional routing protocols. The distribution node then transmits the multicast message to those network devices within close proximity. The distribution node may also have the ability to transmit singlecast messages to those network devices, if necessary, to perform retries.

  • Patent number: 10728871
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a base station as a verification target and a partner base station to be a set of a two-point positioning scheme with the base station as the verification target are detected from a list. It is determined whether the partner base station is already selected as the base station as the verification target. When the detected partner base station is not selected yet, and the detected partner base station is already selected, it is determined whether the base station as the verification target is included in the adjacent candidate base stations with respect to the partner base station. When the base station as the verification target is included in the adjacent candidate base stations, the base station as the verification target and the partner base station, which is determined to be already selected, are confirmed as a pair of base stations.

  • Patent number: 10708905
Abstract: Improved downlink control information decoding is disclosed herein. Downlink control information, can be in different formats depending on the rank of transmission from the network to the user equipment device. For instance, if the transmission rank is between 1 and 4, the transmission will be a single codeword transmission, while a rank of 5-8 can have two codewords. The downlink control information can have a different format, or structure depending on the number of codewords. The user equipment device can predict whether a single codeword transmission or a multicode codeword transmission is more likely, and attempt to decode the downlink control information using the corresponding format. If the first pass is unsuccessful, the user equipment device can make a second pass decoding based on the alternate format of downlink control information.
