  • Patent number: 6837132
Abstract: A paper jam removal tool, for use in clearing jammed paper from a paper shredder, constructed of a single length of wire having a first end and a second end. The first end of the tool leads sequentially into a first laterally extending portion, a first u-bend, a second laterally extending portion, a second u-bend, and a third laterally extending portion. The third laterally extending portion terminates at a central loop portion which wraps around the first and second lateral portions, and finally extends away from the laterally extending portions, perpendicularly thereto, forming a poker portion. The laterally extending portions and their associated u-bends form the handle of the tool. The poker portion of the tool extends perpendicularly from the handle portion and is used to push jammed paper through the blades of the paper shredder, thereby allowing for the continued operation of the paper shredder.

  • Patent number: 6834783
Abstract: The present invention provides a size restoring device for restoring the original size of collars, front plackets, and shirt cuffs using a relatively simple structure to achieve an effective and exact restoration. Also, the present invention provides a size restoring device having holders on a baseboard. The holders hold both ends of the fabric of a shirt's collar. The holders comprise a stretcher, which stretches the fabric by moving at least one of the holders in the stretching direction, and a stretch adjuster for adjusting the distance that the holder has moved to obtain the required measurements. The present invention restores the original size of collars, front plackets, and shirt cuffs which have shrunk after being washed or the like by stretching the fabric to the original size.

  • Patent number: 6834568
Abstract: A strap wrench comprising a handle with a central channel and detachable strap anchored at one end of the handle. The strap is held in place in a channel by means of a rocker arm which is biased to press the strap against a portion the strap positioned in the channel. The strap is initially positioned in the channel by the user pressing one side of the rocker arm to open the channel. Once the strap is initially seated, the rocker arm may be released and the loop may be further tightened by pulling the strap through the channel. Free movement of the strap may be enhanced by applying pressure to the rocker arm.

  • Patent number: 6832708
Abstract: A glove donning system and method, the arrangement having typically a vacuum wand for grasping the outer skin of the cuff portion of a glove, after which the wand together with the glove is suitably transported to a vacuum chamber, where the cuff portion is aligned with the rim of the opening of the vacuum chamber. By grasping only the outer skin of the glove, the cuff portion is gently opened sufficiently to enable a deflated inflatable ring to be inserted into the cuff portion. The ring is then inflated while positioned inside the cuff portion, which is thereby expanded until it touches the rim of the vacuum chamber. The rim is provided with a suction ring capable of generating sufficient suction to keep the cuff of the glove pressed against the rim, at which point the inflatable ring may be deflated and removed. A vacuum may then be applied to the chamber, inflating the glove and thus enabling a hand to be inserted thereinto.

  • Patent number: 6811064
Abstract: An adjustable garment hanger comprises a hanger body having legs extending in a hanger widthwise direction. First and second leg extensions are each adjustably engaged to a leg of the hanger body to determine an overall width along the widthwise direction of the garment hanger. A collar support extends upwardly from the hanger body. The collar support comprises first and second posts, each extending at an angle to a respective one of the legs. The first and second posts are spaced apart by a distance approximating the widthwise dimension of a garment collar. A spacer extends on opposite sides of the hook-shaped member in a horizontal, profile direction that is perpendicular to the widthwise direction. The spacer has a thickness along the horizontal, profile direction approximately equal to an overall thickness of the leg extensions taken along the horizontal, profile direction.
