Abstract: A method of repairing a manhole is provided. A mastic material capable of curing and hardening as applied to a lower portion of the manhole, including the barrel, bench, and into at least one pipe line extending from the manhole. A resin saturated liner may also be included into a portion of the pipe extending from the manhole. A manhole liner saturated with a resinous material is then positioned in the manhole, and the manhole liner, pipe liner, and mastic material are configured to cure at approximately the same time to form a homogenous, repaired interior of the manhole, including a portion extending into the pipe. The pipe or pipes can then be repaired in a manner such as inverting a liner or bladder into the pipe. In the addition of an end seal at the juncture between the pipe and manhole is also contemplated for further sealing the juncture.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is wastewater pipe having a shape that is operable to flow both small and large volumes of wastewater. The wastewater pipe includes a bottom portion with a different diameter than to top portion. The top and bottom portions of the wastewater pipe are connected by side walls that extend tangentially from the bottom portion and intersect tangentially with the top portion. The pipes may also variously include alignment tabs.
Abstract: A magnetic pressure pulse attenuator can include a variable volume and at least two magnetic devices. A magnetic force between the magnetic devices varies in response to a pressure change in the volume. A fluid system can include a fluid volume with a variable pressure therein, and a magnetic pressure pulse attenuator including a variable volume in communication with the fluid volume. The variable volume can vary in response to a pressure variation, and the attenuator can further include a magnetic actuator which increases a magnetic force in response to an increase in the pressure. A method of attenuating pressure pulses in a fluid system can include connecting a variable volume of a magnetic pressure pulse attenuator to a fluid volume of the fluid system, the attenuator including a magnetic actuator which generates a magnetic force, and the force increasing in response to a pressure increase in the variable volume.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for use in protecting watersheds from turf treatment contaminants particularly in relation to sports fields and golf courses. The invention further relates to methods and systems for the use of a plurality of the devices in a system to control, impede, or reduce the level of contaminants from turf treatments which enter drainage systems and catch basins associated with turf surfaces, turf sports fields, parks and golf courses. The invention relates to the device alone or in combination with a catch basin cover or in combination with a catch basin directly or in combination with a drainage riser.
Abstract: Example air duct assemblies include a pliable air duct supported such that the duct is maintained in a generally expanded shape even when the duct is deflated. In some examples, a series of hangers suspend the duct from one or more cables, tracks or other type of overhead support. The hangers are spaced apart and distributed over the length of the duct, and each one contributes in pulling the duct taut in the duct's longitudinal direction.
