  • Patent number: 10132438
Abstract: Shock absorber used for damping a control flow which is to be directed to the control valve belonging to a hydraulic system or is to be directed to the adjustable valve of the flow through which absorber the flow of the hydraulic fluid can be directed at least in one direction. The absorber is a stopper which restricts the run of the flow to be damped which stopper is equipped with one or several ducts which let the flow go through the mentioned stopper when the other orifice of the mentioned duct is blocked with a plate in such a way that bending of the mentioned plate opens access for the flow through the mentioned stopper due to the pressure of the flow coming along the mentioned duct.

  • Patent number: 10132435
Abstract: A hose assembly, preferably a garden hose assembly, including a jacketed tube that is lightweight, durable and versatile. The tube is able to expand longitudinally along the length-wise axis of the hose between hose ends, as well as radially or circumferentially, to an expanded state in response to application of at least a minimum fluid pressure to an inner tube of the hose. Once the fluid pressure falls below the minimum fluid pressure, the hose assembly will contract. The two layer construction of the hose assembly allows for storage in relatively compact spaces, similar flow rates, approximately one-half the weight, and improved maneuverability when compared to conventional hose constructions. In one embodiment the jacket is formed around the tube in a continuous process that welds a material, preferably using hot air, into the jacket. The welded joint forms a region of jacket that is preferably about twice the thickness of the rest of the jacket.

  • Patent number: 10112037
Abstract: A blood circuit connector includes: a main body having a cylindrical shape and provided with a first opening end and a second opening end; a plug having a bottomed cylindrical shape and detachably attached to the first opening end; and a connection part configured to connect the main body and the plug. The plug includes a side wall loosely fitted to an outer circumferential surface of the first opening end. The connection part includes a curved part expanding in a direction away from the main body. In a state where the plug is attached to the first opening, the curved part is pushed in a direction approaching the outer circumferential surface of the main body such that the curved part extends, thereby cancelling a loosely fitted state between the side wall and the outer circumferential surface, so as to remove the plug from the first opening end.

  • Patent number: 10107442
Abstract: A kit for encapsulating a length of pipe features first and second foam sections cooperatively shaped to form a cavity with open ends in a working configuration of the foam sections for receiving the length of pipe therein. A low density foam, which is lower in density than the material of the foam sections, fills an unoccupied space in the cavity so as to provide cushioning for the length of pipe such that movement of the length of pipe within the cavity is permitted and stress on the length of pipe is reduced. The foam sections may be reinforced with reinforcing membranes carried in a main body of the respective foam section. The reinforcing membranes may act to hold the foam material of the respective section together and to prevent puncture along a full thickness of the foam sections from abrasive debris in the ground.

  • Patent number: 10094734
Abstract: A system and method for remote detection, marking and/or sealing leaks in pipe or duct networks are provided. Aerosolized sealant particles that have a surface tackiness that diminishes over time are introduced into the pipe interior. A pressure differential is created and the micron scale particles adhere to the leak edges and to other particles as they are brought to the leaks and then leave the gas streamlines. Control of particle size, drying rate and particle residence time in the pipe interior allows control over the treatment area so that leaks are sealed in the pipes without sealing purposeful openings such as pilot lights or gas valves. This control also produces seals in duct systems with minimal tack at the time the duct systems are returned to service. Particles that do not participate in the formation of a seal can be collected or flushed through the system.

  • Patent number: 10077855
Abstract: A liner tube for lining a pipe and pipe lining method. Liner material that includes a strength layer and felt backing layer forms the liner tube. The strength layer includes chopped strands of fiber oriented generally parallel to one another and distributed along the strength layer. The felt backing layer can be needle punched to the strength layer. Joining structure can connect opposite longitudinal edge margins of the liner material to form a tube shape. The liner tube is impregnated with a curable polymer, positioned in the pipe, and cured to form the liner. The liner stretches radially when it is positioned in the pipe. As the liner stretches, the strength layer remains fixed to the felt backing and the width of the overlapping edge margins does not decrease.

  • Patent number: 10077862
Abstract: An apparatus and method for repairing a damaged host pipe, such as a culvert or other conduit. A trough is positioned over the invert of the host pipe and a longitudinally successive series of ribs are positioned and expanded against the interior of the damaged host pipe and against the trough, the rib having one or more segments and a pair of circumferentially successive flaps hinged together. With a hydraulic jack or other appropriate pushing device, a pushing force is applied against the hinged flaps until the hinged flaps are locked in an installation position. Grout, such as a cementitious grout is then installed in spaces between the trough and the host pipe. Alternatively, the ribs extend transversely beneath the trough, but not beyond the longitudinal edges of the trough, and the trough is anchored to the host pipe.
