  • Patent number: 9416910
Abstract: In order to connect a connection piece (10), which is, for example, a pipe coupling or a mounting or a fitting, to a thermally insulated conduit pipe (1), a clamping sleeve (9) with an internal thread (8) is screwed in between the internal pipe (2) of the conduit pipe and the insulation layer (3) of the conduit pipe. A connection body (11) with a plug sleeve (13) is arranged in the internal pipe beforehand. The clamping sleeve (9) acts indirectly on the connection piece (10) by way of a retaining ring (14) in order to press the connection piece against the end face (5) of the internal pipe (2). In this way, the distance between the insulation layer (3) and the casing (4) of the conduit pipe is dispensed with and inaccuracies when cutting the conduit pipe to length can be compensated.

  • Patent number: 9410635
Abstract: A fuel vapor control device has a flow control valve which regulates a flow amount of fuel vapor from a fuel tank to a canister. The flow control valve has a movable element accommodated in a case. The movable valve element has a central cylindrical part, an outer cylindrical part, and a disc part which connects the central cylindrical part and the outer cylindrical part. The central cylindrical part provides a central channel. The central channel provides a main channel which communicates an inlet and an outlet. A sub channel defined and formed between the movable element and the case is opened and closed by a valve formed by the case and the outer cylindrical part. The central channel makes easy setting of flow amount in regulated condition. Since turbulence is reduced, it is possible to perform stable regulation.

  • Patent number: 9394865
Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide a diaphragm damper with which the amount of volume change due to the resonance frequency and pressure can be set freely and the performance of the diaphragm damper can be optimized, without changing the attachment structure for a conventional metal diaphragm and without obstructing the space where fuel flows in a fuel chamber. To this end, this diaphragm damper, wherein a high-pressure gas is enclosed in a high-pressure chamber formed by two disk-shaped metal diaphragms the outer circumferential portions of which have been joined together, is constructed such that rubber-like elastic members are arranged within the high-pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 9377137
Abstract: The invention relates to a bonded high-pressure rubber hose comprising a flexible internal stripwound tube (10), a liquid and gas tight liner (2) made from rubber or plastic, reinforcing plies embedded in rubber, and in specific cases an adhesively bonded coupling body (11), the lower reinforcing ply or plies being disposed at an angle smaller than the so-called angle of equilibrium (35.26°). The invention is characterized by that in addition to the primary liner the hose (2) comprises a liquid and gas tight secondary liner (7) disposed above the small angle reinforcing ply or plies (1,1a), and that the following inequality holds for the angle of lay of the lowest reinforcing ply (1) of the hose: •where •a1 is the angle of lay of the lowest small angle reinforcing ply (1) •D s is the outside diameter of the internal stripwound tube (10) •D1 is the mean diameter of the lowest small angle reinforcing ply (1).

  • Patent number: 9371944
Abstract: A self-actuated linearly retractable and extendible hose for use in transporting fluids (liquids, gases, solid particles, and combinations of these) between a source location and an output location can be implemented as an extendible hose comprising a biasing element, a sealing layer, and a reinforced cover layer. The sealing layer forms a sealed conduit for transporting the fluids, and the reinforced cover layer on the outside provides radial and longitudinal strength for the sealing layer. The hose can be operated by increasing internal pressure within the hose relative to ambient pressure. When the hose is pressurized by a fluid source, the internal pressure of the hose overcomes the retracting force of the biasing element and the hose extends. When the fluid source is turned off or disconnected from the hose, internal pressure is reduced and the biasing element exerts a tension force on the hose causing the hose to retract.

  • Patent number: 9371941
Abstract: An insulated ductwork system particularly adapted for exterior use joins together pre-assembled air circulation duct sections that each have a ductwork passageway that is formed solely with insulation panels of foam insulation material disposed between foil sheets that are in turn covered by additional insulation material and an outer protective jacket to seal the ductwork from weather effects. The air circulation duct sections are used without traditional metal ductwork forming any part of the air circulation duct. Receiving flanges extend from the ends of each air circulation duct section and the duct sections are joined together in abutting relation with at least one slidably engageable sleeve that engages the flanges. A filler insulation is disposed over the sleeve. A closure band is disposed over the filler insulation and joined to exterior surfaces of the air circulation duct sections.

  • Patent number: 9360137
Abstract: The invention relates to a garden hose with at least one cover layer. The aim of the invention is to improve the grip of the hose relative to the hand of the user and/or on a connection to a connecting element via a compression-type fitting. For this purpose, a relief structure is produced on an outward surface of a cover layer of the hose. The relief structure can substantially improve the haptic impression and/or, when the connection is tight, bring about an interlocking or at least semi-interlocking engagement of retaining elements of a connecting element with the relief structure and substantially increase the retaining force which prevents the hose end from accidentally slipping off the connecting element.

  • Patent number: 9348344
Abstract: A flow valve that maintains a constant flow valve despite varying pressures at its inlet, comprising: (a) an elongated cage with alternating axially-extending pockets and ridges on its inner surface; and (b) an elongated generally conical shaped elastomeric sleeve received within the elongated cage; wherein the sleeve flexes outwardly at higher pressures, thereby decreasing the size of the flow channel between the sleeve and cage, thereby restricting flow to maintain constant flow valve despite varying inlet pressures.

  • Patent number: 9340338
Abstract: A water pipe end cap having a front end and a rear end. The front end has a tapered tip. A flattened head is disposed on the tapered tip. A tapered buttress is also disposed on the tapered tip. The rear end has an elongate cylindrical male piece, a rounded buttress, a tapered heel, and at least one rigidly flexible raised ridge. Each of the rounded buttress, the tapered heel, and the raised ridge are configured to frictionally engage the inner wall surface of the water pipe preventing the water pipe end cap from becoming disengaged. The tapered buttress snugly covers the terminal end of the water pipe preventing dirt and grit from entering. The tapered tip prevents the water pipe from snagging or getting stuck on ribbed conduits. An elongated cylindrical inner cavity is continuously disposed within each of the male piece, the tapered buttress, and the tapered tip.

Abstract: A lockable pipe cover includes an inner cap and an outer cover which are selectively coupled together for axial rotation. When the cap is locked, the inner cap and the outer cover are free to rotate independently from one another thus rotation of the outer cover will not remove the cap from the pipe. In the unlocked position, the inner cap and the outer cover are coupled for rotation and thus rotation of the outer cover results in rotation of the inner cap.
