Abstract: In an aspect, first interaction data characterizing a first interaction of a user with a mobile device configured to operate an application client can be received. A plurality of segments of users of the application client can be determined, and each of the plurality of segments can be associated with one or more settings that characterize an operating parameter of the application client. The user can be assigned to a first segment of the determined plurality of segments based on a correspondence between a characteristic of the user and a characteristic associated with the first segment. The application client can be modified based on the one or more settings associated with the first segment. The modified application client can be provided for interaction by the user via the mobile device. Related systems, apparatus, techniques, and articles are also described.

Abstract: Techniques are described that support automated generation of a digital document from digital videos using machine learning. The digital document includes textual components that describe a sequence of entity and action descriptions from the digital video. These techniques are usable to generate a single digital document based on a plurality of digital videos as well as incorporate user-specified constraints in the generation of the digital document.

Abstract: A document management system sends a distinct copy of a set of documents to each of a plurality of recipients in a bulk sending process. Each copy is associated with one or more actions to be taken by a corresponding recipient. The document management system generates an interface that displays, for each copy of the set of documents, the recipient of the copy and a status of the copy. The document management system receives an identification of a subset of the copies of the set of documents. The document management system performs a bulk action on each of the subset of the copies without performing the bulk action on any remaining copies of the set of documents.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems related to pre-production stage of a movie, a TV show or a multimedia content are described. In one example aspect, a pre-production system for producing a multimedia digital content including a movie includes a user interface operable to receive information about a storyline, cameras, cast, and other assets for the movie from a user, a processor, and a memory including processor executable code. The processor executable code upon execution by the processor configures the processor to determine one or more scenes based on the storyline, generate one or more machine-readable scripts corresponding to the one or more scenes, and automatically update the one or more machine-readable scripts to satisfy one or more constraints for producing the multimedia digital content.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for controlling the review of documents. Methods may include receiving a request to review a document, responsive to the request, retrieving the document, the document including source content in an extensible markup language format, the document having a read-only access file permission, converting the document to read-write access file permission such that the source content is modifiable, receiving a modification of the source content of the document, incorporating the modification of the source content into the document to create a modified document, and automatically providing the modified document in a displayable format via the web-based interface.

Abstract: A method of creating an enhanced document may include receiving an unstructured document, wherein a content of the unstructured document is formed of only unstructured content, encoding the unstructured document based on a known semantic meaning of the content of the unstructured document to form a structured document, wherein the structured document comprises only structured content, and wherein the structured content comprises a plurality of document sections, adding to the structured document a respective interactive element for each of the plurality of document sections, storing the structured document in association with a unique document identifier that is individual to the structured document, rendering the structured document to create a rendered document comprising structured content, unstructured content, and the interactive elements, and embedding the unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form an enhanced document.

Abstract: Various embodiments for customizing a user interface based on user capabilities are described herein. An embodiment operates by detecting an interaction performed by a user with a user interface of a mobile device, the interaction being detected on a detection date and time. A biometric of the user is determined based on the interaction with the user interface of the mobile device. An initial identity of the user based is generated on the determined biometric of the user. A usage history for the initial identity of the user is retrieved. The detection date and time is compared to the usage history. The initial identity of the user is verified as an actual identity of the user based on the comparing. The user interface is customized based on the capabilities of the user in interacting with the user interface corresponding to the determined biometric after the verifying.

Abstract: Systems and methods for in-context editing of web pages in which the production format of a web page is visible while the web page is being edited, and the editable image is not distorted by the editing tools. In one embodiment, a system includes a server computer, a client computer and a transmission channel coupled between them. The server computer receives a request for a web page from the client computer and responsively transmits a web page containing in-context editing tools to the client computer. The client computer operates alternately in a first mode in which the in-context editing tools are superimposed on a web page image, or a second mode in which the web page image is displayed, but the in-context editing tools are hidden. The tools overlay in the first mode does not alter the production format of the web page image as displayed in the second mode.

Abstract: Technologies for creating form field(s) for a database object (DO) in a database system are provided. A user interface (UI) presented on a display device (DD) can display a page that includes one or more form fields for the DO. In response to a request to create a new form field for the database object, options for creating additional form fields for the DO can be displayed within the page. Based on a selection of one of the options, a form field for the DO can be created in the database system. A UI element that includes the form field for the DO can be displayed at the DD via the same UI (used to receive the selection). This can allow a user to visualize how the form field for the DO is displayed during-run time without requiring the user to change to a second UI.

Abstract: A computing device captures a live video of a user, determines a location of a facial region of the user by a facial region analyzer, and determines a finger vector type by a finger vector detector based on a direction in which at least one finger is pointing relative to the facial region of the user. Responsive to detecting a first finger vector type within the facial region involving a single finger, a makeup effects toolbar is displayed in the user interface. Responsive to detecting a second finger vector type involving the single finger, a selection tool for selecting a makeup effect in the makeup effects toolbar is displayed. The computing device obtains a makeup effect based on manipulation by the user of the selection tool. Responsive to detecting a target user action, virtual application of the selected makeup effect is performed on the facial region of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for allowing a user to perform various actions in association with a panel. For example, a user interface (UI) data manager can cause display of, as part of a panel view associated with a panel, a user interface field that includes a query and a first display object that includes query results generated as a result of execution of the query. In response to a user input, the UI data manager can further cause display of a second display object that provides the user with a list of actions that can be performed in association with the panel. If a user selects an action, the UI data manager can perform the action and cause display of results of the action in the panel view. The UI data manager can further associate the results of the action with the panel corresponding to the panel view.
