Abstract: An interlocking attaching system comprises a substrate adapter, an accessory adapter and a discrete locking member. The substrate adapter includes a base for affixing to a substrate object and a plurality of spaced apart raised regions disposed along a first longitudinal axis. The raised regions have slots defining a first plurality of passages oriented parallel to the first longitudinal axis and aligned with one another. The accessory adapter includes a base for affixing to an accessory object and a plurality of spaced apart raised regions disposed along a second longitudinal axis. The raised regions have slots defining a second plurality of passages oriented parallel to the second longitudinal axis and aligned with one another. The spacing between the locations of the raised regions of the adapters are dimensioned to position at least one raised region of one of the adapters between at least two raised regions of the other adapter when the adapters are in operational alignment, i.e.

Abstract: An end stop which does not induce separation or deterioration in its mounting portion by fusing part thereof. A linear fastener element row formed of synthetic resin is mounted on a side edge of a fastener tape, and a rod-like body of synthetic resin is inserted into the interior of plural fastener elements located at a final end of the element row. A fused portion is proved by welding only a side of an outer end portion of the rod-like body while a non-fused portion is formed without welding a side of an inner end portion, so the end stop as a top or bottom end stop is produced. The non-fused portion absorbs an impact when a slider collides with the end stop and induces no deterioration in sewing yarn and such. The fused portion integrates the end stop with fastener elements firmly, so a rigid structured end stop is completed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a button including a button body 10 and a fixture 40 for fixing the button body to fabric. The button body 10 includes a shell member 11 constituting a button outer shell and an accommodation member 31. The shell member 11 includes a button cover 22 and a neck 14 formed cylindrically on the back side of the button cover 22 and having an opening 17 at an outer edge thereof. The accommodation member 31 has a shaft 33 accommodated in the neck with a portion thereof protruding from the opening, and an insert hole 34 formed on the protruding end face of the shaft for the fixture to be inserted therein. Crimping parts 18 are formed on one of the inner periphery of the opening or on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft at specified positions with a prespecified space therebetween along the circumferential direction so as to crimp into the other.

Abstract: A reclosable fastener (10) comprising a male/female closure between a pair of opposed base members (18) has a single flange (16) for attachment of the closure to a web or film (34) on one only of the two base members. The fastener is attached initially to the film (34) by the single flange and then the fastener is additionally attached to the film (34) by heat and pressure applied in the region of attachment ribs (30) on the base members.

Abstract: Improved Fasteners of the Slidingly Engagable type are provided in uni-directional and multi-directional orientations, in single and double-sided configurations, and in a range of designs which also include provisions for attaching certain embodiments of such fasteners to a substrate material. A method of economically producing such fasteners and products incorporating such fasteners in diverse materials is also disclosed.

Abstract: A fixing clamp for connection of sheets with different expansion properties and is thus installed in a rectangular opening of a support plate. The fixing clamp includes a rectangular baseplate and a threaded sleeve in the center. Transverse webs are bent in the same direction as the threaded sleeve on a front transverse edge. Two clamping legs are bent away from the sleeve, parallel to the baseplate. A further clamping leg is bent upwards on the opposing rear transverse edge in the same direction as the front clamping leg. Spring webs are cut into the baseplate on both sides of the threaded sleeve and bent at an angle in the same direction as the clamping legs. The spring webs are bent with the end regions thereof reaching the baseplate, whereby a separation “A” between the end regions and the transverse webs on the front clamping leg is of such a size that the spring webs extend into the opening when the front clamping legs are situated on the longitudinal edge of the opening.

Abstract: An aesthetically pleasing fastener for allowing a desired height of a hem of a pants leg to be maintained and repeatedly changed without compromising structural integrity of the pants leg or having to cooperate with a shoe so as to allow the fastener to be used without a need for a shoe. The aesthetically pleasing fastener includes a clip and a covering. The covering covers the clip. The clip receives the hem of the pants leg and allows the desired height of the hem of the pants leg to be maintained and repeatedly changed without compromising the structural integrity of the pants leg or having to cooperate with a shoe so as to allow the fastener to be used without a need for a shoe, while the covering makes the aesthetically pleasing fastener aesthetically pleasing.

Abstract: A novelty figurine and carabiner storage assembly is provided. The figurine comprises a head portion, a body portion located proximate to the head portion, and at least one carabiner attachment assembly extending from the body portion for selectively allowing the figurine to be attached to or removed from another item able to receive the attachment assembly. The carabiner attachment assembly comprises at least first and second leg assemblies, with one of the leg assemblies having a selectively openable gate assembly extending therealong. The body portion has at least one substantially hollow interior section and at least one selectively openable door assembly for access into the substantially hollow interior section.

Abstract: A post attachment device for connecting a helmet to a head and neck support. The device includes a post anchor having a base, a button, a resilient member, a post, a retainer and a catch having a slot with a larger first section connected by a channel to a smaller second section. The button is positioned in an indention in the base with the resilient member positioned therebetween. The post extends through the button, the base and the helmet. The retainer is secured on the post adjacent the inner surface of the helmet. To secure the post attachment device, the catch is orientated over the post. The button is then pressed into the base while the catch is moved backwards to move the post into the second section of the slot.

Abstract: A clip has a base A having a U shape composed of a pair of parallel sections, and a joining section having flexibility and interconnecting the lower parts thereof, elastic pieces respectively branching from the insides of the parallel sections in the opposed directions, and extending along the parallel sections and the joining section, claws respectively protruding inwardly on the elastic pieces, and step sections having upper surfaces respectively projecting outward from the outer sides of the parallel sections and being inclined obliquely downward.

Abstract: A device for blocking at least one strand of a lace or other filiform element, the device including a rotatable blocking member and a hollow body, the hollow body having a cavity for housing the blocking member. The blocking member is circular, freely rotatable, and elastically biased in the direction of blocking the strand(s). The device further includes an unblocking member. The unblocking member has a gripping portion located at a distance from the hollow body.

Abstract: A post attachment device for connecting a helmet to a head and neck support. Abstract: Various embodiments for carabiners employing a pivoting gate and having a captive eye opening are disclosed. The carabiners of the present invention employ an arm laterally extending from the body of the carabiner to define a major opening and a captive eye opening within the interior of the carabiner. Some of the inventive carabiner designs provide the capability of opening the gate while the captive eye opening is maintained. Methods of fabrication and use of the carabiners are also disclosed.

Abstract: This device will muffle the sound of buttons while clothes are being washed or dried. Because of the exposure to extremes in temperature as well as agitation it should be constructed of durable non-corrosive material.

The fastening member extends in a longitudinal direction and in a lateral direction and has a lateral centerline. The fastening member comprises a base panel and a shaped tab extending laterally from the base panel. The shaped tab has a longitudinal centerline, a lateral centerline, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The shaped tab has a contour edge comprising a shaped upper edge and a shaped lower edge. The shaped upper edge and the shaped lower edge are symmetric with respect to the longitudinal centerline of the shaped tab when relatively shifted in the longitudinal direction and are asymmetric with respect to the lateral centerline of the fastening member.

Abstract: A slider for a slide fastener comprises: a slide body (1) including an upper wing (15) and a pull tab (2) having a pintle (6); the slider body (1) comprising: a pull-tab-attaching yoke (18) mounted on the upper wing (15) in cantilevered manner, having an indentation (46) formed therein for receiving the pintle (6) directly or indirectly, and defining with the upper wing (15) a gap (47); and a closing member (20) movably mounted on the slider body (1) so as to close and open the gap (47). The pull tab (2) further includes a pull tab body (4) and a pair of opposed protuberant walls (5) provided on the lower side of the pull tab body (4). The pintle (6) extends between the opposed protuberant walls (5) to connect them. At least one of the ends of the opposed protuberant walls (5) is open to provide an open space (7).

Abstract: A clip includes a female member, a male member, and a connecting piece. The female member is formed in a cylindrical shape with two open ends, and has an outer flange at an upper cylinder end. A flexible engaging piece is formed in a side section defined by slits formed in the side section, and is provided with an engaging surface facing the outer flange. The male member is formed of a leg shaft and a head provided at an upper end of the leg shaft for a pushing operation. The connecting piece connects the head of the male member with the outer flange of the female member, so that a lower end of the leg shaft of the male member is positioned directly above the upper cylinder end of the female member.

Abstract: A slider having an automatic stopper capable of accommodating a drooping piece of a leaf spring in a front face of a guide post of the slider and protecting it. In a body of the slider, upper and lower blades are connected via the guide post, and a groove portion which is open continuously in a vertical direction is provided at the front face of the guide post is provided. The drooping piece formed by bending an end of the leaf spring of an automatic stop mechanism disposed on a top face of the upper blade is engaged and accommodated within the groove portion and a projecting portion projecting forward is provided at a bottom end of the groove portion. The projecting portion is located below the drooping piece to protect a front end of the drooping piece and formed into a shape preventing a pointed object from being inserted between the drooping piece and the projecting portion, thereby protecting the slider from being destroyed intentionally.

Abstract: A retaining clip is for securing an electrical connector to be inserted through an opening formed in a panel. The retaining clip comprises a base having an aperture therethrough for receiving the free end of the electrical connector and having one or more engagement means for engaging with and holding the electrical connector. The base is shaped to contact at least a portion of the surface of the panel that it overlies. A plurality of fingers extending away from the base are displaceable to allow insertion of a mating connector and to contact the surface of the mating connector. Thus, the clip shields the surface of the mating connector with respect to the panel.

Abstract: A reclosable zipper for use with package, such as food and non-food packages, that include first and second mating profile members. Each of the first and second profile members of the zipper closure includes a pair of flanges each having a sealant layer. The sealant layer formed on each of the flanges protrudes past the outer surface of the flange such that the outer surface of the sealant layer contacts the film of web material. The sealant layer is formed from a material different than the material that forms the remaining portions of the first and second profile members such that the sealant layer melts and forms a bond with the web material upon the application of heat. Each of the profile members includes a standoff area formed along the inner surface of each flange to provide support for the flange during the application of the heating element.
