Abstract: A cycling shoe cover is designed to provide maximum protection from the elements such as rain, snow, and cold. It also provides aerodynamic benefit with minimum weight. The cover is flexible unitary made from an elastomer, such as silicone or latex rubber, and is highly elastic and waterproof. The upper part of the cover fits snugly over the cyclist's ankle to prevent water egress into the shoes from above. The lower part of the cover snugly cover and seals to the bottom edge of the shoe without interfering with the cycling shoe's cleat or attachment to the cycle pedal.

Abstract: An article of footwear including a textile upper and a split sole, the split sole having a forefoot portion and a heel portion separated by a gap under the instep portion of the article of footwear. An x-shaped bridge arches over the wearer's foot and connects the forefoot portion of the split sole to the heel portion of the split sole. The article of footwear is fabricated using injection molding to impregnate the fabric at the bottom of the textile upper and to form the split sole.

Abstract: An augmented-reality helmet which in one embodiment is a full-face motorcycle helmet with a look-down micro-display that projects a virtual image in-line with the helmet's chin bar. In order to accommodate the power requirements, the helmet includes a battery pack mounted at the base of the motorcyclist's skull. A wind turbine charges the batteries. Exhaust from the turbine is then deducted through the helmet to cool the battery pack and/or the motorcyclist's head. The turbine is controllable so that it can operate as a circulating fan to provide ventilation. A digital gyroscope provides a control input to a controller for operating a steerable headlight of the motorcycle to track the rider's head movements; and provides acceleration output to an algorithm that will contact emergency responders if the rider is non-responsive after a collision. A 170 degree rear-view camera is mounted within an aerodynamic fairing on the back of the helmet.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including a folding brim. For example, the headwear may include a headwear body including a crown, and a hat brim extending from the crown, the hat brim including one or more slits forming a hinge on an underside of the hat brim for folding the hat brim, each slit being reinforced with bias material along each edge of the slit and a center webbing over an opening formable under the slit when the brim is in a folded position, the bias material being coupled to an inner surface of each edge of the slit.

Abstract: A shoe having an upper and a sole connected to the upper. The upper has, at least in part, a knitted material forming its outer surface. To ensure sufficient longitudinal elasticity in the forefoot region and a good fit, along with efficient production, the knitted material includes a first knitted material layer produced from a first thread and a second knitted material layer produced from a second thread arranged on the first knitted material. The second material layer at least partially covers the first material layer. In the region of the front half, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the shoe, and/or in the heel region of the shoe, the second material layer runs, at least in part, in strip form in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the shoe so as to form a number of strips running parallel to one another.

Abstract: A combination of a ski boot and a strap, where the strap extends from an attachment point on the lateral side of a hard outer shell of the boot and in use is tightened to hold the inner boot liner in relatively fixed proximity to the lateral side of the outer boot shell during skiing. The strap can extend around the inner boot liner, or be at least partially incorporated as a part of the inner boot liner. In either case, the strap is adjustable between the tightened position, and an open position.

Abstract: Methods and articles for accessorizing a person's shoulder, chest, and back are provided. The methods and articles for accessorizing a person's shoulder, chest, and back of this disclosure provide a defined form or shape so that a consistent, predictable, and repeatable look can be achieved. Furthermore, the methods and articles for accessorizing a person's shoulder, chest, and back of this disclosure can be more difficult to move or slip from their intended placement or become re-arranged from their intended configurations than existing accessory articles such as shawls and scarves. Still further, the methods and articles for accessorizing a person's shoulder, chest, and back of this disclosure are reversible and designed to be transformed into a variety of looks.

Abstract: A head protection helmet including an impact resistant shell that includes a cavity for accommodating a user's head. The helmet further includes an array of crushable bodies having a hollow closed configuration, e.g. flutes in corrugated material 14, 16, the crushable bodies each having an axis that extends outwardly from the cavity to absorb impact forces exerted along the direction of the axis.

Abstract: A garment apparatus includes two leg panels, a rear panel, a center panel, and a fly panel, each constructed from a fabric material, wherein the rear panel, the center panel, and the fly panel are connected between the two leg panels, and wherein a lower end of the fly panel extends substantially to a center line of the center panel. At least one conduit is positioned along a seam of the fly panel, wherein the seam is formed at least between the fly panel and the two leg panels and between the fly panel and the center panel. A cord is positioned within the at least one conduit and movable between at least a tensioned state and an untensioned state.

The invention concerns a method for producing a footwear item having a shoe (1) provided with an external upper (9), the method involving forming a shoe (1) with an intermediate portion (2) that delimits a housing (3) for receiving the foot of a user, a sleeve (5) mounted over the intermediate portion and a peripheral skirt (10) extending from the junction area between the intermediate portion and the sleeve, surrounding the base (8) of the sleeve, the method involving the following successive steps in order to provide the shoe with the upper: retracting the sleeve (5) into the receiving housing (3) until the sleeve is disposed under at least a portion of the skirt (10); associating a lower portion (9a) of the upper (9) with the skirt; deploying the sleeve over the intermediate portion (2) in order for it to extend into the upper.

Abstract: A convertible garment may be constructed from a material having a bulk section between opposing ends. The material may substantially encircle bands located at the opposing ends. Bundling strings may encircle the material near the ends with an adjustable and independent level of compactness. Additionally, connecting strings may be attached to the material at the ends for positioning the opposing ends of the material adjacent to one another. Compactness of the majority of the material in the bulk section may be adjustable relative to a desired coverage of a wearer. The material may be hemmed. Stitching may be included near the ends to supplement the bundling strips. The material may be a textile that is adjustable to cover a length of the wearer up to between shoulders and hips of the wearer. A method of using the convertible garment is also disclosed.

Abstract: An elongated wrist towel for wearing on a user's wrist without exerting circumferential pressure over a large portion of the user's arm includes a towel body defining a hollow, elongated sleeve and is sized to encircle the distal arm of a user. The towel body includes an elastic distal edge which allows the elongated wrist towel to be secured to a user's wrist, a non-elastic proximal edge, and an elastic seam which runs longitudinally between the proximal edge and the distal edge. In this regard, when in place on a wearer's arm, the elongated wrist towel can be retained on the wrist through compression from a single rim and selectively moved between extended and compacted positions on a user's arm.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods, etc., that provide, in certain aspects, a two-point, adjustable, partially pliable, and releasable tensioning suspension that supports an anti-blunt-force frame connected to a protective helmet. The protective devices herein can be, for example, “sport-level” and “military/law enforcement-level.” The anti-blunt-force frame is positioned and balanced on the wearer's face by an impact absorbing face padding system, including a chin strap, cup or pad comprised of an impact protection material. Thus, in one aspect, the present devices, systems, methods, etc., include an adjustable facial protection system for a human comprising a crescent-shaped face protection element configured to withstand blunt force impact and a ballistic material element to prevent the penetration of ballistic and fragmentation projectiles at various force levels to meet different ballistic hazards. The systems can also include a protective helmet.

Abstract: A device for providing protection against minor head injury and for stabilizing a hat is provided. The device moves from a generally flat first orientation into a domed-shaped second orientation. In the second orientation, the device is placed under the underside of a hat and supports the hat in an upright position. The device may be placed under a hat for protection and/or to store the hat in an upright position for display and to reduce the sagging of the hat over time. Further, the device may be placed under a hat and the hat worn. The device has a plurality of radially extending arms extending from a center portion. The perimeter surface of the device may be partially inserted within a groove of the hat so as to allow the device to remain secured within the hat. The device is also suitable for providing some protection against head injury when the device is properly worn under a hat.

Abstract: Sports garment for shaping female buttocks and hips, including: rear part covering buttocks except their upper terminal portion, front part at least partially covering the abdomen, and waist part covering at least buttocks terminal upper portion. The rear part includes two rear elements; each including: first portions to cover: buttocks lower terminal portion, buttocks lateral portion, and hips portion; and second portions to cover: buttocks central portion and lower central portion at the garment rear fork. The rear part includes an insert increasing elastic modulus and/or tenacity of the rear part first portions relative to second portions. Lateral edges of two rear part rear elements connect along a central rear seam positioned on the buttocks intergluteal cleft; before sewing together, the lateral edges have rectilinear shape in plan view, facilitating seam insertion into the intergluteal cleft and adherence of the two elements to buttocks when wearing pants.

Abstract: A hand perspiration removal device has a base which includes top and bottom surfaces, a perspiration absorbing pad which is removably attached to the top surface, and an arrangement for securing the base to a part of a user's body. The bottom surface of the base has a concave configuration which extends from a first side of the base to a second, opposite side of the base such that the bottom surface is configured to conform to the part of the user's body to which the device is secured.

Abstract: An intelligent safety helmet with front play of rearview is provided. The helmet includes a helmet body and several ventilation holes designed on it. The helmet body is set in the back with a rearview camera electrically connected with the intelligent hardware set in its front. The intelligent hardware includes a removable main bracket installed on one side of the helmet body, and the main bracket is installed with an optoelectronic device and a front-facing camera in the front via a rocker arm module, so that the user can use the front-facing camera to take pictures and store them in the memory or activate the rearview camera and project the image onto the optoelectronic device for view of rear conditions by the user. The user can use a transmissive optical module set in front of the eyes to play the pictures taken by the back-facing camera.

Abstract: A head and neck restraining system is disclosed herein. The system includes a helmet, a neck brace structure, and a tether system. The neck brace structure includes a neck extension that is attached to shoulder extensions. The tether system includes at least one ring structure that is configured to attach to the helmet and a single tether material that slides through the at least one ring. The single tether material is guided along the neck extension and attached to the shoulder extensions. The at least one ring structure is positioned between the neck and shoulder extensions along the single tether material and splits the load on the helmet to the neck extension and the shoulder extension along to the single tether material created by exerted forces.

Abstract: Clothing for practicing downhill skiing which covers the lower part of the torso and the lower limbs and which includes various zones made using textile fabrics with different elasticities, characterized in that it includes two bands of the first type, presenting lower elasticity than the rest of the clothing, extending from the inner part of the thigh and passing above the anterior part of the thigh, approximately at the level of the iliac crests, and up to the area in the proximity of the lower lumbar vertebrae, both bands are symmetrical in relation to the median plane of the clothing, and two bands of a second type, which are even less flexible, which extend downwards from the top of the anterior zone of the thigh, passing over the antero-external part of the thigh.

The headgear includes a first side member positioned on a first side of the headgear, a second side member positioned on a second side of the headgear opposite the first side, a forehead strap coupled to the first and second side members and positioned on a front half of the headgear, and an occipital strap having an end coupled to one of the first side member and the second side member on the front half of the headgear and the occipital strap extending to a rear half of the headgear.
