Abstract: One non-limiting embodiment of the present invention includes an athletic garment including a garment configured to snugly fit a torso wherein the garment has a front portion and a rear portion. The athletic garment further includes a pocket secured to the rear portion of the garment providing a pocket for containing items therein. The pocket includes a secured portion and a hanging portion wherein the secured portion is secured to the garment and the hanging portion is not secured to the garment.

Abstract: An article of footwear may include various first strands and second strands. The cutting and second strands may extend from an area proximal to lace-receiving elements to an area proximal to the sole structure. The first strands may have a substantially vertical orientation and the second strands may have a rearwardly-angled orientation. The first strands may be located in a midfoot region of the footwear and the second strands may be located in both the midfoot region and a heel region of the footwear. Angles between the first strands and the second strands may be at least 40 degrees. Additionally, the second strands may have at least fifty percent greater tensile strength than the first strands.

Abstract: A ski boot with removable and interchangeable soles. In one embodiment, the ski boot has a hull with a shaped plate, a sole adapted to be removed from the hull with the sole having a front portion and a back portion that are separated from each other and constrained to the hull via fixing screws. The removable and interchangeable soles allows the ski boot to be configured for specific skiing disciplines and is compatible with ski bindings provided with a plurality of pins integral with the ski that are fitted into corresponding shaped recesses of the hull. The shaped recesses are positioned on the sides of the plate, which is fixedly constrained to the ski boot.

Abstract: A device enables a wearer to obtain a personal zone of cooling effect. Specifically, a headwear is provided that incorporates a stabilizing and aerating platform to house and support an array of photo-voltaic cells that in turn power strategically placed and positionable personal variable speed fans. The device anticipates and counters the power decreases typically encountered by photo-voltaic cells when operating in elevated temperatures. The present invention, and also provides dual modality of use to provide a smaller photo-voltaic cell array in situations where a sacrifice in power is acceptable relative to a sizing of the device.

Abstract: A composite multi-axial impact protection liner for a helmet is provided that reduces rotational acceleration, rotational strain rate, and rotational strain that cause concussions. In a protective helmet so equipped, one or more layers of fluid polymer, including strain thinning and strain thickening polymers, are positioned between the wearer's head and a hard helmet shell. The liner offers greater injury protection, performance, and personal comfort using the rate dependent and combined effect of strain thinning and strain thickening of fluid polymer layers.

Abstract: A sole structure may include chambers and a transfer channel containing an electrorheological fluid. Electrodes may be positioned to create, in response to a voltage across the electrodes, an electrical field in at least a portion of the electrorheological fluid in the transfer channel. The sole structure may further include a controller including a processor and memory. At least one of the processor and memory may store instructions executable by the processor to perform operations that include maintaining the voltage across the electrodes at one or more flow-inhibiting levels at which flow of the electrorheological fluid the through the transfer channel is blocked, and that further include maintaining the voltage across the electrodes at one or more flow-enabling levels permitting flow of the electrorheological fluid through the transfer channel.

Abstract: An inputting fingertip sleeve includes a sleeve and an inputting end. The sleeve has a curved linear structure. The inputting end is fixed on the sleeve. The inputting end includes a plurality of graphenes. A material of the sleeve is conductive, can be metal, alloy or conductive polymer. The inputting end is electrically connected with the sleeve.

Abstract: A garment structure is provided to lift glutei and thin hips. The structure includes a belt, a front part, and a rear part joined to the front part by leg side seams and inner thigh seams. The rear part includes at least two polygon-shaped deformable elastic bands. Each deformable elastic band has a side joined to a leg side seam and a side joined by a final lower seam part arranged into the cleft between the glutei and affecting the inner thigh seam. The bands are linked starting from an adjoining point of the inner side seam to at least a point lying in the area under the line passing through the center of the glutei.

Abstract: A necktie system includes a necktie that may be worn around a neck of a user. A first fastener is attached to the necktie and a pair of cups is provided. Each of the cups is mateable such that the pair of cups forms a housing. The housing has the necktie extended therethrough such that the housing retains the necktie around the user's neck. A second fastener is attached to the one of the cups. The first fastener removably engages the second fastener such that the housing is retained in the necktie.

Abstract: A footwear with refractive internal illumination has a footwear, a translucent body and an illumination system. A translucent body refracts light at a first index, cavities refract light at a second index, the first index of light and the second index of light then reflect between the translucent body and at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap then refracts the first index and second index of light to create twice refracted light, whereby the first index of twice refracted light internally illuminates the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, and whereby the second index of twice refracted light appears as brighter points of light on the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap.

Abstract: A sole structure for a running shoe is presented having an outsole and a midsole. The sole structure includes a plurality of hollow elements, which are closed off in each case by front flanks and rear flanks, and have spaced-apart upper inner surfaces and lower inner surfaces, that forces to which the hollow elements are subjected when the runner is running are absorbed by these hollow elements in each case with deformation, with the spacing between their inner surfaces decreasing in the process. The upper inner surfaces of the hollow elements are formed on the underside of the midsole, that the lower inner surfaces of the hollow elements are formed on the upper side of the outsole, which is fastened on the underside of the midsole in each case in front of, and behind, the hollow elements, the front flanks and the rear flanks likewise forming part of the outsole.

Abstract: An attachment system for securing footwear to a wearer, the attachment system including a buckle assembly and a receiver. The buckle assembly may include a clasp adapted to be coupled to a first portion of a footwear upper. The clasp may have an elongated portion with a first pivotable surface. The receiver may be adapted to be coupled to a second portion of the footwear upper. The receiver may have an elongated recess adapted to slideably receive the elongated portion, and the receiver may have a second pivotable surface that is sufficiently complementary shaped to the first surface so that the surfaces pivotably engage each other in a transverse direction of the attachment system when the buckle assembly is locked in the receiver.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a protective sports helmet including a helmet shell, a face guard and an internal padding assembly positioned within the helmet shell. The internal padding assembly includes a brow pad having first and second peripheral connection portions. The internal padding assembly also includes first and second jaw pads, each having an upper connection portion that mates with the first and second connection portions, respectively, of the brow pad. The internal padding assembly also includes a crown assembly with pad elements that include an internal separation layer that partitions the element into a first inflatable section and a section un-inflatable section. The connection portion of the jaw pads also mates with frontal pad elements of the crown assembly. The internal padding assembly further includes an occipital pad assembly that engages the helmet wearer's head below the occipital bone.

Abstract: An athletic garment generally includes a short member, a supporter, and a plurality of straps. The short member may include a front panel, rear panel, two side panels, and a waistband. The supporter is dimensioned to releasably receive an athletic protective cup. The straps are coupled to one end of the supporter and are attached to the opposing rear panel of the short member.

Abstract: A sport helmet for protecting a head of a wearer, such as a hockey, lacrosse or football player. The sport helmet has an outer shell with an internal side and an external side and an inner pad mounted to the internal side of the outer shell for absorbing shocks when the sport helmet is impacted. The inner pad has a core of polymeric cellular material with a body of expanded polymeric microspheres and a molded covering being molded onto the core of polymeric cellular material.

Abstract: The present application discloses a helmet, a helmet retention system, and a method of adjusting a helmet. In certain embodiments, the helmet comprises a helmet shell and a helmet retention system. The retention system comprises a rear portion connected to the rear of the helmet shell, first and second straps extending from the rear portion to a front portion of the helmet shell, and an adjustment device attached to the rear portion for adjusting the length of the first and second straps between the rear portion and the front portion of the helmet shell to tighten and loosen the straps about the head of the user. Each strap comprises a strap segment and an elongated member attached to the strap segment. The adjustment device is configured to selectively adjust the elongated member to move the first and second strap segments relative to the helmet shell.

Abstract: An article of footwear may include a knitted component formed of multiple knitted component portions. The knitted component includes a body portion and a heel portion. The body portion is formed of unitary knit construction and extends through a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and at least partially into a heel region of the article of footwear. The heel portion is formed of unitary knit construction and extends through the heel region and includes a cuff that defines a throat opening of the upper for receiving a foot. The body portion and the heel portion are joined along adjacent edges to form the knitted component. Knitting directions of the knitted component portions vary along the adjacent edges. An overlay element may also be provided to cover a seam attaching the adjacent edges of the knitted component portions.

Abstract: An injection molded sole (10) has an upper ungrooved portion (2) and a lower tread portion (4). At least two, continuous, undulating S-shaped grooves (6) extend generally longitudinally of the tread portion between the toe and heel ends thereof, and a plurality of grooves extending generally transversely intersect the longitudinally extending undulating grooves. The grooves have a minimum depth of about 5 mm and define individual separated tread areas (28) which can be moved apart during flexing of the sole (10). The flexibility of the sole is such that when it is incorporated in footwear, it does not restrict rolling movements of the foot when walking so that a gait can be adopted which is akin to barefoot walking.

Abstract: A garment constructed of textile panels that provides proper fit across a variety of postures is provided. A plurality of primary textile panels have a first crumplability. At least one secondary textile panel has a second crumplability, the second crumplability being greater than the first crumplability. A plurality of seams joins the plurality of primary textile panels and the at least one secondary textile panel substantially along the edges of the panels to form a garment that when worn by a person in a non-extended posture covers intended portions of the person fully with only the plurality of primary textile panels extended and the at least one secondary textile panel non-extended. When the garment is worn by a person in an extended posture, the garment covers the intended portions of the person fully with both the plurality of primary textile panels and the at least one secondary textile panel extended.

Abstract: An improved, substantially elongated gusset and/or crotch panel, incorporated into garments for humans' lower bodies. This novel, uniquely shaped, and scaled gusset significantly enhances wearers' comfort by eliminating seams, material transitions, stitching, and other mechanisms or methods of attachment from within the boundaries of a defined protected region, which coincides with the wearer's sensitive genital area. The gusset is preferably constructed from at least one layer of material, and may feature additional layers. In preferred embodiments, the elongated gusset and/or crotch panel is incorporated into girl/boy short-style undergarments, bikini-style undergarments, thong-style undergarments, pajama-bottom style garments, and other lower-body garments.
