A carbon number of a linear chain aliphatic diol component forming the crystalline polyester resin contained in the black toner is 6 or more, and a carbon number of a linear chain aliphatic diol component forming the crystalline polyester resin contained in each of the yellow toner, the magenta toner, and the cyan toner is 3 or more and 5 or less.

The crystalline polyester resin includes an acrylic acid-based unit and a styrene-based unit. The styrene-acrylic acid-based resin includes an acrylic acid-based unit that has an epoxy group and a styrene-based unit. A peak top molecular weight of the toner in a differential molecular weight distribution curve is at least 8,000 and no greater than 12,000. A mass average molecular weight of the toner is at least 40,000 and no greater than 65,000.

This method results in the bonding of the alkoxysilane hydrocarbon or combination of different alkoxysilane hydrocarbons to the outer surface of the core shell toner particle. In an alternative method, the outer surface of the toner is surface treated with the alkoxysilane hydrocarbon solution and then fused to form toner particles. The alkoxysilane hydrocarbon surface treated core shell toner also can be mixed with magnetic carrier beads to form a developer mix to be used in a dual component development electrophotographic printer.
