  • Patent number: 11377016
Abstract: The invention comprises a main and a subsequent stage. At the main stage, the medium is pumped into a first instrument line. This first instrument line is mounted in a main pipeline system and is equipped with an inlet mass meter with a first flow rate range. After reaching of a set value from the instruments, an automated control system (ACS) stops the first line pump, ensures operation of its driving isolation valves, thus, completing the main stage measurement cycle, and switches the system into the subsequent stage mode. At the subsequent stage, the medium flow is collected from the tank and cavities of the measuring system. It flows by gravity into the bottom of the system inner volume (9) and is then supplied by a to a second instrument line equipped by a mass meter with a second and lower flow rate range.

  • Patent number: 11339926
Abstract: A hydrogen filling station accounts for variabilities between tank systems when filling compressed gas tanks. To identify a theta value that accurately reflects the conditions and performance of a particular tank system, one or more test parameters are determined, and one or more margins associated with one or more test fills of a fuel tank are identified, where each test fill corresponds to a respective test parameter. A proposed theta value for controlling one or more fuel deliveries to the fuel tank is determined based on the test parameters and the margins. In this manner, the theta value enables hydrogen refueling of a compressed gas tank to be improved.

  • Patent number: 11325825
Abstract: A fleet refueling silo tank system gravity feeds fuel through hoses to fleet units without requiring pressurizing pumps. A specialized valve at the fleet unit fuel tank prevents vapor escape and admits fuel at low, gravity-feed pressures. The valve includes a valve body with an upper end and a lower end, the upper end adapted to engage a cap which affixes the valve body to the fuel tank fill mouth. Below the cap, a fuel cut-off plunger and seat selectively interrupt fuel flow through the mouth by responding to a buoyant float extending coaxially beneath the valve body and into the fuel tank. Linkage coupled to the plunger extends through the valve body to the float, and roller bearings within the valve body engage a shaft extending from the float coaxially into the lower end of the valve body.
