Abstract: A method for managing a post-hoc device registration in an ecosystem is provided. The method includes assembling an electronic device, having a system on a chip (SoC) integrated therein. The method further includes activating/onboarding the device, receiving, by a CA from the device, a communication containing at least one keypair, validating, from the CA to the device, the at least one keypair, triggering, by the CA, data capture of validation data. The validation data includes user registration data, and manufacture/status data for least one of the device and the SoC. The captured validation data is stored in a database of the CA, and then aggregated, along with the received at least one keypair, from the CA database into a billing invoice to the device assembler. The registration data is referenced to the at least one keypair and other validation data by the CA.

  • Patent number: 11182795
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for classifying a particular user account as a fraudulent user account by analyzing links between the user account and two or more known fraudulent user accounts collectively. Attributes of the particular user account are compared against attributes of a plurality of known fraudulent accounts to determine that the particular user account has shared attributes with a first known fraudulent account and a second known fraudulent account. The shared attributes with the first known fraudulent account and the second known fraudulent account are analyzed collectively to determine a risk level for the particular user account. The risk level may indicate a likelihood that the particular user account corresponds to a fraudulent account.

  • Patent number: 11176551
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a commercial transaction is presented. An article of manufacture has a time cell that is read by an electronic apparatus. In response to a determination of a state of the time cell by the electronic apparatus, usage of the article of manufacture in a commercial transaction is enabled or denied based on the determined state of the time cell. The expiration period of a time cell controls the time period during which the commercial transaction is enabled or is denied to be performed; an unexpired time cell may both enable or deny performance of a commercial transaction, and an expired time cell may also both enable or deny performance of a commercial transaction. The time cell may be used to restrict the usage period of a coupon, a promotional offer, a pre-paid service, or some other commercial transaction that involves an article of manufacture.

  • Patent number: 11157909
Abstract: A system and method provide efficient, secure, and highly reliable authentication for transaction processing and/or access control applications. A Personal Digital Key stores one or more profiles (e.g., a biometric profile) in a tamper-proof memory that is acquired in a secure trusted process. Biometric profiles comprise a representation of physical or behavioral characteristics that are uniquely associated with an individual that owns and carries the PDK. The PDK wirelessly transmits the biometric profile over a secure wireless transaction to a Reader for use in a biometric authentication process. The Reader compares the received biometric profile to a biometric input acquired at the point of transaction in order to determine if the transaction should be authorized.

  • Patent number: 11138606
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for a resource transfer system. An instruction to transfer a first quantity of a resource from a first resource pool to a second resource pool may be received. A hold may be placed on a second quantity of the resource in the first resource pool. The held second quantity of the first resource may not be transferred from the first resource pool until the hold is released. Responsive to receiving a message that fulfills a condition on the hold and an instruction to execute the transfer, the hold may be released. A register that is in the first resource pool and is associated with the resource may decremented by the first quantity, and a register that is in the second resource pool and is associated with the resource may be incremented by the first quantity.
