The system is adapted to perform an authentication based on a fictive payment transaction and includes the authentication server which is adapted to execute a fictive payment transaction with a predetermined transaction amount with said electronic device and during said execution to receive a first cryptogram from said electronic device; send said first cryptogram to a banking server; and receive from said banking server an acknowledgment if said first cryptogram is valid; when said fictive payment transaction has been executed, compute an authentication identification based on said electronic device's data; said electronic device which is a payment electronic device and which is adapted to execute said fictive payment transaction with said authentication server and during said execution to send said first cryptogram to said authentication server.

The payment module may receive a first communication from a point of sale device requesting an encrypted response and receive a second communication from the point of sale device requesting an unencrypted response. The module may match the first communication to a first corresponding library entry, match the second communication to a second corresponding library entry, determine a user response based on one of the first corresponding library entry or the second corresponding library entry, where the user response defines one of the encrypted response based on the first corresponding library entry or the unencrypted response based on the second corresponding library entry, and use the corresponding library entry to generate a visual customer display requesting the user response.

All operations performed in the terminal are locked to make it impossible to alter the data and signed with a cryptographic key before using the client device as transportation for the operations block to be processed in the central server and charged.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for licensing service providers to process video, audio and/or multimedia content using a video processing device. A license key indicative of a license for an amount of bandwidth is generated. The license key is used at the video processing device to enforce the license based on whether there is sufficient licensed bandwidth available to accommodate a newly created output transport stream. If there is sufficient licensed bandwidth available, processing of the newly created output transport stream is allowed. If there is insufficient licensed bandwidth available, processing of the newly created output transport stream is denied. The service providers are charged a license fee to use the video processing equipment based on the licensed bandwidth.

Abstract: Techniques for routing to content within a mesh network based on a blockchain are provided. An electronic device can receive data from a mesh network to establish the device as a node on the mesh network. The established node can generate a cryptocurrency wallet that can be loaded with an amount of cryptocurrency. A blockchain can store searchable transactions related to content stored within the mesh network. The established node can search the blockchain to locate content and can transmit a request for certain content. The established node may issue a payment to a node hosting the requested content and/or to any intermediate nodes facilitating the established node's access to the content.

Abstract: A system and method include receiving, by an authentication system, device data of a computing device used by a customer during a checkout process of a current transaction on a merchant website and contextual data of the customer. The system and method also include retrieving a customer token associated with a payment instrument of the customer, assigning the computing device a device score and the customer a customer score based on the device data and the contextual data, and computing an overall score from the device score and the customer score. The system and method further include determining from the overall score that the current transaction is not fraudulent before the current transaction is completed and auto-filling payment information of the payment instrument in the customer token during the checkout process of the merchant website to complete the current transaction upon determining that the current transaction is not fraudulent.

Abstract: In preferred embodiment, an analysis tool is provided to help a user quickly comb through a vast number of expense card purchases, to focus only on those where there is some indication that fraud could have been involved. These suspect purchases are those where there is a lack of correspondence between the location and time of any vehicle stop and the purchase record. Because the purchase record can be misleading regarding time and location, a lack of match is not a certain indication of fraud, but it does merit further investigation. The tool permits a user to set a time and distance window about each fuel purchase time and location, or to choose a best match algorithm. After a table showing the purchases and closest stops is returned, the user may, for any one of them, choose to view a map view showing vehicle stops and purchase location.

Abstract: When a user of an interface system defines a workflow, the interface system transmits a notification to a user that is to perform the first step of the workflow. When the user requests to initiate the step of the workflow, the interface system creates a transaction for the workflow step. The user signs the transaction using a cryptographic key pair. The interface system receives the signed transaction and verifies the signature. Once the signature is verified, the step can be performed. The interface system forwards the transaction to a data storage system for storing. For performing the next step in the workflow, the data storage system identifies the user that is to perform the next workflow step. The data storage system creates a notification that identifies the user and the notification is provided to the user. The process repeats until each step of the workflow is performed.

Abstract: An improved blockchain is described herein in which a burn quota is used to manage the rate at which blocks in a blockchain are formed. The burn quota may define the amount of cryptocurrency that needs to be burned in order for an election to commence. If the amount of cryptocurrency that is burned in association with a particular block in the burn chain is less than the burn quota, then no election or sortition occurs in association with that block. Rather, an election or sortition may occur in relation to the next block in the burn chain if the sum of the cryptocurrency burned in the previous block and the next block exceeds the burn quota. The nodes can vary the burn quota itself based on whether an election or sortition occurred or did not occur in a manner such that blocks are formed at a consistent rate.

Abstract: A foreign currency transaction system and method can allow both users and merchants to carry out foreign currency transactions without using a point-of-sale (POS) device. In addition, users can carry out foreign currency transactions without knowing much of a foreign language in order to engage with a merchant in a foreign country. In addition, a user may lock-in a foreign currency exchange rate so that the user is able to have some certainty in relation to the foreign currency transaction, and can simplify the use of payment cards for foreign currency transactions by capturing an electronic image of a pricing indicator at a juncture of initiating a foreign currency transaction, and processing the electronic image to automatically determine a required payment amount represented on the pricing indicator.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for sharing media files. One embodiment of the system, among others, can be implemented as follows. The system includes a file sharing application configured to initiate a communication session with a file server, where the file server that manages download requests for a collection of media files, where the collection of media files are subject to a trial period. The system further includes media file selection logic configured to prompt a user to select a subset of media files from the collection of media files that was downloaded from the file server after the trial period is detected to have expired. In accordance with this embodiment, the user selects a subset of media files that the user would like to keep for continued use and the remaining media files not selected by the user are then configured to be inaccessible by the user after the trial period has expired. Other systems and methods are also provided.

The device manufacturer is further configured to integrate into the at least one silicon component a public key of the at least one PKI keypair and the bootstrapping certificate. The ecosystem further includes an ecosystem approved test lab (ATL) configured to test the electronic device having the integrated silicon component, the public key, and the bootstrapping certificate. The ecosystem ATL is further configured to confirm that the bootstrapping certificate complies with predetermined standards of the ecosystem.

Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for virtual world biometric analytics through the use of a multimodal biometric analytic wallet. The system includes a virtual biometric wallet comprising a pervasive repository for storing biometric data, the pervasive repository including at least one of a biometric layer, a genomic layer, a health layer, a privacy layer, and a processing layer. The virtual biometric wallet further comprises an analytic environment configured to combine the biometric data from at least one of the biometric layer, the genomic layer, the health layer, the privacy layer, and the processing layer. The virtual biometric wallet also comprises a biometric analytic interface configured to communicate the biometric data to one or more devices within a virtual universe.

Abstract: Electronic watch faces can be created in customized and associated with a block chain system. More particularly, the block chain's system uses non-fungible tokens which are in general unique, to represent the ownership of a specific watch face. Users own the token and can display the watch face only while they own the token. After selling the watch face, the token is changed to represent the new owner of the token and the original owner can no longer display the watch face at that point.
