Abstract: A moving mouth mechanism for an animated character, the mechanism being mounted within the head of the animated character, such as a doll. A head member of the character has an electrical motor mounted in the head upper portion, and has an elongated flexible element or string attached at one end to a rotatable shaft extension of the motor. The other end of the string is attached to a pivotable lever which is spring actuated. The lever outer end is attached to a pivotable lower lip of the mouth in the head, so that whenever the motor is activated with an electrical signal such as from an audio and control system for the activated character, the pivotable lower lip is movable upward and downward so as to simulate normal realistic speech for the animated character.
Abstract: A confetti launching wand is disclosed in which the wand comprises a relatively short barrel portion which contains the confetti, preferably in the form of a stack or bundle, and the barrel portion is connected to a relatively long handle portion. In some embodiments, the barrel portions may be separable from the handle portion and may be replaced by other barrel portions designed to launch multiple bundles of confetti in different, non-parallel trajectories, and/or the handle and barrel portions may be composed of biodegradable materials such as paper and cardboard. Tapered wands are also disclosed which may be composed of deformable materials such as thin plastic, rubber or plastic foam, or rolled cardboard or paper.
Abstract: A vibrating toy is provided and includes a housing, a battery mounted within the housing, a motor mounted within the housing activated by the battery, a shaft driven by the motor, a mechanism on the shaft for imparting an eccentric vibration from the housing, a play element outside of the housing, and a mechanism for connecting the play element to the housing and through which the play element can receive vibrations generated from the mechanism that imparts the eccentric vibration. A weighted element attached to the shaft in a manner to unsymmetrically distribute weight imparts the eccentric vibration. In a particularly preferred embodiment, a vibration is transferred to the housing which in turn through contact vibrates a wire serving as the mechanism that connects to the play element. The invention further concerns a method whereby a live pet animal can be entertained by interaction with the aforementioned vibrating toy.

Abstract: A music box having a water pump structure, especially to a music box in combination with a water pump, includes a music box, a water pump, and a regulating valve wherein the music box is provided with a linking member by which the water pump is connected with the music box. The linking member is associated with a water pressure plate of the water pump and the movement of the linking member triggered off by the music box will activate the water pressure plate to move back and forth. The to-and-fro movement of the water pressure plate will in turn generate a pressure, forcing water to circulate in and out of two main bodies of the water pump. In addition, the regulating valve having one-dimensional water influx and discharging valves is adapted to regulate the water circulation in one direction.
Abstract: A game call method and device for locating a wild turkey. A wooden knocker ball is caused to repeatedly strike the opposite sides of an elongated wooden open sided box. The wooden knocker ball is mounted on the box by a coil spring. The knocker ball is caused to strike the opposite sides in short fast bursts to make long distance travelling pecking sounds like the sounds of a woodpecker.
Abstract: A yo-yo having unique tether engagement areas adjacent the axle. The engagement areas include a starburst pattern of grooves located in the tether-facing surface of each of the yo-yo's side pieces. The grooves extend from a point proximate the axle to a point significantly spaced from the axle. In the preferred embodiment, the grooved engagement area is employed in conjunction with an axle having a ball bearing supported rotatable outer race to which an end loop of the tether is secured.

Abstract: A novel toy shuttle for simulating play on land, air and outer space. The shuttle body having retractable side wings each having spring loaded projectile launchers thereon. Retractable wheels are located beneath the shuttle body along with a trap door which has a pliable disc harness sized to fit about waists of bendable action figures. On top of the shuttle body are foldable and removable helicopter blades and a rear facing tail stabilizer propeller can be stored into the top of a slidable cover on the shuttle body. Beneath the slidable cover is a robot pilot compartment for magnetically supporting a robot pilot, and a crew compartment for seating the bendable action figures. The front of the shuttle body has a cockpit cover with a hinged lid where additional action figures can be positioned therein. Battery powered lights are located at the front and rear of the shuttle body. A piston operated water gun allows for water to be squirted from the front of the shuttle.
Abstract: The throwing toy of the present invention can generally be described as a two part toy having a forward portion and a trailing portion, where the forward portion utilizes a substantially rigid, ring-like structure in which the center of gravity of the toy is located and the trailing portion is made of a collapsible cylindrical tail which extends from the forward portion and has a length of at least about two times the axial length of the forward portion.
Abstract: A toy car structure with various combined operations, including a housing defining an internal chamber and a driving system disposed in the chamber. The driving system including a transmission wheel and a driven wheel driven by a power source. A disc member is coaxially disposed with the driven wheel and rotatable along with the driven wheel. The disc member has an upper and a lower layers respectively disposed with a shifting section and a shifting pin for pushing a cantilever and a trigger. The cantilever and the trigger further respectively drive a retaining member and a slide board to move from a first position toward a second positions so as to create various combined operations.
Abstract: A remote control toy includes a remote land vehicle which is controlled by a hand controller configured in the shape of a flying vehicle. The hand controller includes a switch for controlling forward and rearward movement of the land vehicle and a photoelectric tilt switch for controlling steering of the land vehicle wherein tilting movement of the flying vehicle hand controller causes steering of the land vehicle. The tilting movement of the hand controller for steering creates that appearance that the flying vehicle is following or chasing the land vehicle.

Abstract: A plurality of connector blocks and connecting members are provided to comprise a universal connector assembly. In this assembly, each connector block is formed to have a body portion defining a plurality of sides that extend outwardly from a central region. Each side is substantially cross-shaped and has a substantially cross-shaped receiving slot. A plurality of elongated connecting members are also provided for releasable engagement within the receiving slots of the connector units. Like the receiving slots, the connecting members have a substantially cross-shaped cross-section and are appropriately dimensioned to releasably engage the receiving slots of the connector units.
Abstract: A flying toy having a first and a second guideline support, each guideline having two ends and a handle member respectively secured at each end. A body member for operating aerodynamically may include a frame and sail, or alternatively, the frame and sail may be replaced by a one-piece or composite sail frameless structure. In an alternative embodiment, a single guideline replaces the two guidelines. Support elements are slideably secured to the body member and to the fasteners for supporting the body in a desired orientation between the first and second guidelines. Alternatively, the support elements may be included as a part of the frame of the body member or some embodiments eliminated.
