  • Patent number: 10858216
Abstract: An apparatus to handle and relocate rolled fire hose, the apparatus includes a frame, a rotating platform mounted to the frame, a pair of leg members joined by a pivot that splays and retracts the frame, and wheels mounted on the lower portion of each leg. The rotating platform is operable to rotate around an axis perpendicular to the splaying plane created by the legs. The collapsible apparatus, when upright, provides a two tined fork for straddling and lifting the lower perimeter of a rolled fire hose. When tilted rearwards onto the apparatus' wheels, the fork raises the rolled hose off the ground and thus enables “dollying” the rolled hose to any location. When the apparatus is oriented horizontally, the apparatus provides a means for easy, yet controlled uncoiling of the hose roll as the hose is fed to firefighters reloading the hose back onto fire truck's hose bed.

  • Patent number: 10828989
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle is operated with a combustion engine, an electric machine and a gear unit. The vehicle has a first electrical system and a second electrical system as a vehicle electrical system. The first electrical system, which is operated at a higher voltage level than the second electrical system, operates the electric machine, an electrical energy storage device, an energy converter that transmits electrical power at least from the first electrical system into the second electrical system. An alternator is not used in the second electrical system. The first electrical system is a part of a transmission system that together with the components that are coupled to the transmission system is controlled by a transmission control unit. During power generation by the electric machine the energy supply of the second electrical system has a higher priority than a motor-mode support of the drive by the electric machine.

  • Patent number: 10773599
Abstract: Provided is a drive source control device that can suppress increase in the rotation speed of a drive source. This drive source control device (67) includes: an overspeed determination module (68) to determine whether the rotation speed of each of two drive sources (2L, 2R) is overspeed; and a correction module (69) to, when the overspeed determination module (68) determines that the rotation speed of at least one of the drive sources is overspeed, correct command values for outputs of the two drive sources, supplied from a command module (66a). The correction module (69) corrects the command values of the outputs of the two drive sources (2L, 2R) so that the torque of the drive wheel having greater rotation speed decreases from the torque before the correction, and the torque of the drive wheel having smaller rotation speed maintains or decreases from the torque before the correction.
