Abstract: A device and a backend server are described. The device can determine whether it has entered an indoor location, and once in the indoor location, the device can communicate with the server the name of the location. The device can determine the current location of the user in the indoor location, and based on the floorplan and the indoor location of an item, the device can direct the user to the item. The floorplan can be constructed based on data accumulated from various visitors of the indoor location.

Abstract: A method for facilitating mobile ordering includes associating a merchant handle with a merchant. A user account including a handle is created for a user within an ordering system. A product order, having order details, is received. The product order is stored and is associated with an order code such that the order details are retrievable based on reception of the order code. An enrollment message is provided to the handle. A message including the order code is received from the handle directed to the merchant handle. The handle is associated with the merchant handle and the order code to identify the product order, the merchant, and the user. An order confirmation message is including order details is provided to the handle. A user confirmation message is received from the handle. The product order is communicated to the merchant and an order status message to the handle.

Abstract: The system instantly provisions high demand items to a consumer. The system may be capable of identifying an item for a consumer based on information about the consumer and a demand associated with the item. The system may also be capable of reserving a reservation for the item. The system may further be capable of provisioning the item to the consumer based on a demand associated with the item. In this regard, the item may be instantly available to the consumer. The system may also be capable of adjusting an item inventory in the item inventory database. The system may further provide available appointments to consumers for selection in real-time.

Abstract: A social networking system for organizing nighttime activities, for use by individual users when attending nighttime venues. A smartphone app may be provided for use by the individual users, for allowing users to create a profile, set venues to be attended, set a group of other individual users they will be attending with, set up payment, purchase drinks and send drinks to other individual users, arrange transportation to and from the venues, and communicate with other individual users.

Abstract: The disclosed technologies identify opportunities to display relevant three-dimensional (“3D”) model data within a real-world environment as a user wears a wearable device. The 3D model data can be associated with objects, or items, and the 3D model data rendered for display is relevant in the sense that the items are determined to be of interest to the user and the items fits within the real-world environment in which the user is currently located. For instance, the techniques described herein can recognize items typically found in a kitchen or a dining room of a user's house, an office space at the user's place of work, etc. The characteristics of the recognized items can be identified and subsequently analyzed together to determine preferred characteristics of a user. In this way, the disclosed technologies can retrieve and display an item that correlates to (e.g., matches) the preferred characteristics of the user.

Abstract: Various product-configuration-related implementations are described herein. In one example implementation, a selection of a product is received. A plurality of sections associated with the product is determined. One or more option groups are determined for each of the sections. Each of the option groups includes one or more options for the product. A product configuration page is generated and provided for presentation to a user. The product configuration page includes a navigation panel. The navigation panel includes a plurality of tabs. Each tab in the plurality of tabs represents a certain section from the plurality of sections and includes one or more indicators corresponding to the one or more option groups included in the certain section. Each of the one or more indicators visually indicates whether an option from a corresponding option group has been selected.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described that use machine vision and machine learning to eliminate many of the steps of a typical retail transaction. For example, implementations are contemplated in which a user simply removes an item from a retail location to effect the transaction.

Abstract: A method for processing a service request is provided, which includes: assigning, by a server, an identifier to a service request; if processing of a first service times out, marking a processing state as a first processing state, if the processing does not time out and the processing succeeds, continuously processing the second service, and if the processing times out, marking the processing state as a second processing state; and querying for the processing state of the service request according to the identifier regularly, acquiring a processing result of the service request, and sending the processing result to the user terminal, the processing result including a first processing result corresponding to the first service and a second processing result corresponding to the second service, where when it is queried that the second processing result is unsuccessful, an identifier is reassigned to the service request.

Abstract: An activity-information system is provided. The system comprises an activity-information server and a plurality of activity-information devices. Activity-information devices may be proprietor devices (e.g., for bar owners/staff), affiliate devices (e.g., for club promoters or taxi drivers), or end-user devices (e.g., for patrons). The activity-information devices provide activity information (such as, a user's location or presence at a venue or within a district) to the activity-information server, which stores the activity information in an activity-information repository. The activity-information server then determines activity levels for venues and districts, which may be transmitted to devices. The activity-information device then may display activity level in an activity-information interface. The activity-information interface may comprise a map with highlighting and icons indicative of activity levels for districts and venues, respectively.

Embodiments further disclose creation, tracking and management of skincare layouts. The device with a network communication component facilitating communication with a server. The device may operate to facilitate the creation of a skincare layout for a person and share the layout with the server. The server may include a database of information related to the users and skincare layouts as well as historical information, and the server may provide reminders, marketing and other communications based upon such information. Reports may be created to reflect the skincare layouts, product purchases, or other analytics regarding the information.

Abstract: A method may include obtaining a weight of merchandise supported by a shelf and obtaining identifier data of the merchandise supported by the shelf. The identifier data may be wirelessly received from tags associated with the merchandise. The method may also include determining information for presentation to a consumer regarding the merchandise based on the weight of the merchandise and the identifier data of the merchandise. The method may also include providing the information for presentation to the consumer of the merchandise when the consumer is proximate the merchandise that is supported by the shelf.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for identifying top attributes are presented. Text content from an electronic document describing a product is extracted. A plurality of attributes associated with the product are identified using the extracted text content. A descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes in the extracted text content is detected. A weight is assigned to each descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes. The plurality of attributes are ranked based on the weight of the descriptor word proximate to each of the plurality of attributes. A predetermined number of top ranked attributes from the plurality of attributes are caused to be presented. Further, an image associated with each of the top ranked attributes is determined, the image being designated as a visual representation of the corresponding top ranked attribute. The image is caused to be displayed in association with the product on a user interface.

An information user interface is rendered upon the display to provide information regarding the identified item.

Determine the contents of the communication and based on determining contents of the communication, consult a response rule table to determine a response to the communication. Access the order messaging queue to identify server devices corresponding with servicing the determined response and publish, to the identified server devices.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for a commerce platform coordinating a purchase of a product sold by a merchant system through a third party application are described. The method may include receiving a notification from the third party application requesting to purchase a product from within the third party application, wherein the notification comprises an identifier for the product and an identifier for the merchant system that sells the product. The method may also include a product checkout interface having an appearance consistent with an appearance of a user interface of the third party application, and transmitting the product checkout interface generated by the commerce platform to a user device executing the third party application causing the third party application to render the product checkout interface within at least a portion of the user interface of the third party application.
