Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for reliably transmitting data. A method comprises identifying a metric for a first frame of a plurality of frames, wherein the metric is indicative of decoding significance for the first frame among the plurality of frames. When the metric corresponds to a relatively high decoding significance, the method further comprises transmitting the first frame in accordance with an enhanced transmission scheme. When the metric corresponds to a relatively low decoding significance, the method further comprises transmitting the first frame in accordance with a default transmission scheme. The reliability of the enhanced transmission scheme is greater than the reliability of the default transmission scheme.

Abstract: A wireless transmitter which includes: a packetizer which generates a special packet with a payload containing transmitted video signals and a header containing distinguishing information used to distinguish the special packet from an IP packet; and a wireless transmitting section for generating and transmitting wireless radio signals which contain a special packet generated by the packetizer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a data call in a wireless network comprising determining if the data call in a packet app is a relay model tethered data call; and determining if default link flow type Flow 1 is deactivated for the data call. In one aspect, one or more of the following is also included: determining if the type of the data call is CDMA 2000 1X, IS-95A/B, EVDO Rev. 0, EVDO Rev. A or EVDO Rev. B; determining the type of the packet app; requesting to deactivate default link flow type Flow 1; and determining if default link flow type Flow 1 is deactivated for the data call; and wherein the type of the packet app is of a default packet app (DPA), a multi-flow packet app (MPA), an enhanced multi-flow packet app (EMPA) or a multi-link multi-flow packet app (MMPA).

Abstract: On-switch methods for enforcing a policy relating to one or more network switch resources, for detecting and mitigating a network anomaly, and for selectively filtering packets to an externally-accessible port, are provided. The methods may each be embodied as one or more rules held by one or more processor readable media, with one or more of the rules defining one or more conditions to be met by one or more usage-derived packet statistics, and one or more actions to be performed if the one or more conditions are met.

Abstract: A method is provided for improving reliability in detection of an identifier for a user agent is provided. The method includes the user agent attempting to decode semi-persistent scheduling activation/reconfiguration signaling over a physical downlink control channel only during a discontinuous reception (DRX) on-duration.

Abstract: A terminal for supporting a dynamic content delivery (DCD) service a system thereof, and method thereof. A general terminal cannot provide information specialized for individuals. In order to solve the foregoing problem, there is provided a method for delivering contents includes the steps of: acquiring contents at a DCD server; personalizing, at the DCD server, the acquired contents; providing, at the DCD server, the personalized contents to a terminal; receiving and storing the personalized contents at the terminal; and driving the personalized contents at the terminal.

Abstract: A proxy service for simulating real assembly features on a remote device is described. A data stream including reflection data of a real assembly is generated. The reflection data stream may include data associated with proxy types without including the code from the real assembly. A client obtains the reflection data stream. The reflection data stream facilitates the generation of a proxy assembly on the client and allows the client to instantiate features of the real assembly on the client without the code for the real assembly.

Abstract: A system for integrating disjoined but related network components is presented. The system includes a network including a plurality of integrated collaborators where at least one of the integrated collaborators is designated as a head, at least one of integrated collaborators is designated as a parent and at least one of integrated collaborators is designated as a child. The head, parent and child are connected by a plurality of links. The integrated collaborators are grouped into clusters where one or more clusters form a cluster cloud. The integrated collaborators are configured to receive a data set, from a connected member, in a pre-determined format and deliver the data set in an acceptable format to a receiving member over the network. If necessary, at least one integrated collaborator converts the pre-determined format to the acceptable format such that the network components communicate with each other and conduct collaborative activities.

Abstract: Provided is a method for transferring messages by establishing a chat room data transfer channel, applicable to an instant message (IM) chat room system based on Session Initiated Protocol (SIP)/Instant Message and Presence Leveraging Extensions (SIMPLE). The method includes the steps of: establishing a first data transfer channel after a negotiation process between the chat room server and an IM server associated with a client, establishing a second data transfer channel after another negotiation process between the IM server and the corresponding client, and transmitting the messages between the client and the chat room server through the first data transfer channel and the second data transfer channel. The method may support a user to join in the chat room and to transmit messages to other users.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for automatically setting up a Web site for editing. One embodiment of such a system and method may comprise selecting a common file transfer path from a plurality of common file transfer paths, generating a test file, writing the test file to a storing computer through the file transfer server using the selected common file transfer path, requesting the test file from a Web server hosting the Web site, determining the common file transfer path is valid when the test file is received from the Web server responsive to the requesting, and selecting another common file transfer path from the plurality of common file transfer paths when the test file is not received from the Web server, wherein the method is repeated from the generating step using another common file transfer path.

Abstract: A server computer stores user favorites information that relates to the favorites of a user. Whether digital information that has newly occurred on a network suits the favorites of the user is judged based on the user favorites information. If it is judged that there exists digital information that suits the favorites of the user, the server computer informs the user of the new establishment of the digital information that suits the favorites of the user by transmitting E-mail to the user. When a browsing request of the digital information is made by the user, the server computer delivers the digital information to the user and stores history information relating to a history of the digital information that has been delivered to the user. Thereafter, the server computer updates the user favorites information based on the history information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods of migrating sessions between computer systems. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a session migration method comprising managing, by a session manager, a session between a client and a first server using network address translation, managing, by a first server, a context for the client, wherein the context is related to the session, determining that the session is to be moved from the first server, identifying, by the session manager, a second server other than the first server to manage the context, sending the context from the first server to the second server; managing, by the session manager, the session between the client and the second server using network address translation, and managing, by the second server, the context.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for developing a website. One such method transmits a questionnaire to a website client. The questionnaire includes questions for developing the website. A response to the questionnaire is received and examined for unanswered questions. For at least one unanswered question a calendar entry for a calendaring application is created. The calendar entry corresponds to an event and a rule, with the event describing the unanswered question and the rule comprising a reminder of the event. The calendar entry is transmitted to the calendaring application to remind the website client of the unanswered question.
