Abstract: A nail covering for protecting one or more fingers or toenails from the harmful effects of dust and dirt includes a thin sheet of silicone, shaped and dimensioned to cover the nail. In a preferred embodiment, the thin sheet of silicone is shaped and dimensioned to cover the nail but not any surrounding flesh. In another preferred embodiment, the thin sheet of silicone has an adhesive backing for attaching the thin sheet of silicone to the nail.
