Abstract: A device to strengthen a person's arm muscles through the utilization of a portable device including a handle portion and a weight component with the two components separated by a flexible rod is provided. Such a device allows for the user to grip the handle portion and act as if they are throwing such a handle portion while the weight end moves along an arc defined through the length of the flexible rod. The resultant action is the generation of centripetal force along the defined arc with the reactive centrifugal force providing resistance to the user's arm muscles in a manner that is unique and heretofore unattainable through the utilization of a portable exercise device. The flexible rod component provides at least 1 foot (100 cm) of spacing between the handle portion and the weight portion.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a seat to accommodate a person in a seated position, an upper back rest to support the person's back, a foot rest to the person's feet, and a lap engaging member spanning the person's lap. A first resistance device is connected to opposite ends of the lap engaging member to resist movement of the lap engaging member away from the seat. A second resistance device is connected to a handle to resist movement of the handle from a position behind the back rest toward the back rest. A person sits on the seat and performs a combination exercise involving both: (a) a hip thrust exercise, wherein the person thrusts her hips and the lap engaging member upward and away from the seat; and (b) a lat pull down exercise, wherein the person pulls the handle from an arm's length distance behind the back support to a position more proximate the upper back support.

Abstract: A hanger assembly for hanging wash mitts, rags and the like above a bucket includes a top subassembly with a mast and spaced apart arms extending radially from the mast. A bottom subassembly includes a bucket engaging structure and a shaft, to which the mast of the top subassembly is coupled (e.g., rotatably coupled). The bucket engaging structure of the bottom subassembly may include in one embodiment a plate, a tail and a pair of legs for engaging the sidewall of the bucket, or in another embodiment a ring or disc that sits on the bottom of the bucket.

Abstract: An exercise device is provided to couple a user's limb to a resistance mechanism and to tighten on the user's limb by a force applied in opposition to the resistance mechanism. The device may include a strap including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The strap may define an adjustable opening configured to receive the user's limb. The first portion and the third portion of the strap may be attached to a closed loop shape configured for coupling to the resistance mechanism. A fixed opening may be coupled to the strap, and the adjustable opening of the strap may be formed by passing the second portion of the strap through the fixed opening. The device may also include a flexible material coupled to the strap and defining a tube providing the fixed opening.

Abstract: In one aspect of the present exercise machine, an assembly is attached to the end of a reformer, where the assembly comprises a seat mechanism and a pedal mechanism. The seat mechanism has a seat, a bracket supporting the seat, and a height adjustment system, where activation of the height adjustment system permits selective adjustment and locking of the height of the seat and the bracket by restricting travel of the seat and bracket to a slanted path that is slanted relative to the vertical. The pedal mechanism has an axle, a first pedal arm with a first pedal, and a second pedal arm with a second pedal. The pedal mechanism is located directly beneath the seat when the seat mechanism is in a lowest position and partially exposed in a higher position.

The containers may also be nested in an open position with indentations in the base to facilitate separation of the containers. The indentations may be in one of two positions with an alternating pattern when the containers are in the nested arrangement.

Abstract: A two-piece hinged hard shell plastic frame includes a set of shoulder straps. Additionally, the backpack includes a pair of triangle shaped wheels for climbing stairs and a retractable pull handle. A concave back plate structure is positioned on the rear of the backpack for conforming to a person's back. A concave head rest portion is also included on the top end of the backpack which provides a comfortable resting area for a user's head. Furthermore, multiple mesh net style pockets on the exterior of the case for holding various items is provided.

The draw bar structure with the multifunctional bracket includes a draw bar body. The base may have a primary opening that receives the straw and a secondary opening in the top of the base, where the secondary opening acts as a vent to prevent a vacuum from occurring when drinking from a straw.
